Eps. 79 Sea of Blood

On the way back to Mahakam Beach, Dirga was silent a thousand languages although Rheva repeatedly asked him to talk, but he did not respond to the girl at all. He felt annoyed at Rheva who did not want to give a little understanding to him, not as usual. He was getting less and less acquainted with his friend who he thought had changed lately.

The day was getting late, after walking an hour and passing the cliffs and rocks they finally arrived at the river where they came out of Mahakam Beach.

“Ah... is there no way back there other than this place ?” dirga asked who finally spoke after a long silence held back the annoyance.

Rheva who became upset because the child from earlier grumbled replied with annoyance.

“I'm the one who knows this place better. There's another way but I don't guarantee it's safe. Because that road must have been passed by the Infinix army. And if they go down the road they're on, they'll definitely be able to track us down. You don't know what Infinix is like..” Rheva replied at length.

The girl then jumped into the river and fought the inflow back to where they were sucked again. There was no choice for Dirga to refuse him. He then jumped and immersed himself in the river following Rheva.

“Blb... bleb..” Dirga's voice begins to run out of breath after an hour of swimming. Rheva who saw it then returned following Dirga who swam behind him. The girl was worried that the child would be unconscious again like before. He then pulled his hand while continuing to swim upwards.

But Dirga took his hand off the girl. Rheva had no idea why the boy had refused his help. Is he really angry with her ? Is he really outrageous today on that boy ?

Rheva felt guilty for offending the boy. He came back again following Dirga to help him bring her upstairs. But he was very surprised when he saw Dirga who changed into a frog-man form and swam agilely and now preceded him.

“That child why could he also turn into that ? I suspect he is one of the descendants like me. Maybe she's a descendant of Pixy or Excogryf.” the inner girl overtakes Dirga swimming upwards.

A little while later they reached the spot where the channel had sucked them before. Again the channel was clogged by blood-sucking animals.

Dirga and Rheva stared at each other giving a signal and then they pulled the beast tight and it turned out that the channel remained blocked.

Rheva asked Dirga to step down. He then advanced and took out a sword of light then slashed into the beast body which instantly shattered with just a single slash.

“Crat..!” The beast shattered into pieces and the channel finally opened.

Rheva then deactivated the function of her sword and restored it to its original form.

Dirga just found out if the girl's sword can turn into a brooch. He looked at the brooch that the girl was wearing that reminded him of something.

“Bros it is.. why the shape is very similar to the brooch that I just remembered when I was undergoing therapy. Why is it in Rheva's hands ? What is her relationship with my childhood friend that is ?” the question in his heart continued to observe Rheva's brooch.

Not long after the channel was not blocked, another whirlpool appeared that now sucked them and threw their bodies out of the trough.

“Bleb... bleb..” They were both dragged in a strong current and moments later they came out of the canyon. And now they swim to the surface.

As they swam, the water around them was not clear anymore, but slightly turbid and slightly red. Their premonition says something bad is going on.

Sure enough after shortly swimming they found the carcass of other marine animals there. Nearly 60% of the other sea dwellers there have died. And they know why none other than that blood-sucking beast.

Dirga slid quickly upward and found the polyps of hirudinae filling the ocean and now they are gathering. They want to form a colony.

Dirga changed back to its original form shortly after they reached sea level.

“Rheva did you see that?” dirga pointed to thousands of polyps that had gathered in one place.

“Iya I know. We must stop it before they can successfully join forces and form a colony.” replied the girl.

They talked for a while and devised a strategy to destroy the beast before it could endanger human lives.

“Let's start now.. !” said Dirga who was influenced by Rheva.

They then swim back to where the blood-sucking animals gather. Some polyps appear to have colonized and joined so that their size becomes large.

Dirga started to activate the power of his eyes. Violet rays shot out from his eyes and he aimed at the thousands of small polyps that would merge to form a large hirudinae.

“Slash... slash...!” the violet rays managed to split the polyps that had not joined it.

Rheva took the sword of light and slashed right into the central core of the beast and made it fall into thousands of tiny polyps that now fill the ocean.

Now thousands of polyps are moving in groups towards Dirga. Within minutes, they had already covered Dirga's body.

Rheva swung the sword of light once more and made the beast descend from Dirga's body and some die. But their numbers seem endless.

They returned against the beast by combining forces. As Rheva slashed out the sword of light, Dirga borrowed Evony's power and unleashed an electric force simultaneously.

“Boom... duar... duar...!” the sound of successive large explosions occurred in that ocean which left the parasitic beast smashed to pieces and charred in flames. The sea was getting a deep red color with the death of all the parasitic animals.

“Ah... Finally it ends too.” said the girl then immediately out of the sea of blood with Dirga.

They sighed just filling their lungs with clean oxygen in that place.

“Dirga... em.. I actually feel that I have gone too far before. I'm sorry..” he said sincerely after realizing his childish attitude.

Suddenly there was one sea beast that shot up from behind Dirga's body.

“Awas...!” the girl unleashed her fire power to burn the beast.

“Ups...” The girl hit Dirga to protect her and accidentally kissed the child's lips.She immediately pulled her body and away from Dirga.

“Oh... This is what you meant as your apology just now ?” he said as he stood up and smiled looking at the girl who looked flushed her cheeks.
