part 35 REHABILITATION COTTAGE

If time goes unnoticed for Yuana, then so does Inspiration. A strong desire to recover himself and a series of activities and therapies in the rehabilitation cottage owned by Gus Bahtiar make time pass so quickly. But in proportion to the achievements he has achieved.

After Bu Fatma and Rahmat had left, then Gus Bahtiar returned the embrace of Ilham while inviting him into the office where the doctors were waiting for them.

Once Ilham and Gus Bahtiar entered and sat down together, Dr. Yusuf invited one of the therapists to explain the programs that their special patient, Ilham, would undergo.

While in the corner of the hall others also appear to sit in a circle of several people who are a group of patients with psychiatric problems accompanied by a counselor and two assistants.

Santri rehab is a common name for patients in rehabilitation cottages. And apparently Ilham was the only rehab student who had just entered, so he was asked to introduce himself to

his group of friends.

Many life lessons learned from this group counseling session. Various backgrounds of the students and their rehabilitation progress such as opening and expanding the insight of Inspiration for new values in social life.

Most of these rehab santri admitted that those who have been considered as the garbage of society, actually have the desire to have a much better life. And here, they seem to strengthen each other to achieve their goals.

That further motivated Ilham to quickly recover and he thought hard to find a solution how he could help realize the ideals of the students he just knew. Because Ilham realized that he himself was actually in the same position as them.

Luckily Ilham had passed a period of withdrawal while still in the hospital, so he did not need to feel the pain in this rehabilitation cottage because he had to stop completely consuming alcohol.

Sakau is the condition of an addict when he stops substances that he chimes suddenly or reduces the dose drastically. Symptoms vary, depending on the severity and type of the candle. Starting symptoms mild to severe symptoms, some even have to die.

Sakau experienced by Ilham was different from other habits. If others often experience insomnia, then Ilham actually experienced somnolensia, which is a decrease in consciousness and psychomotor response, easily fall asleep without him knowing. He also did not feel a very dizzy, only a strong desire to drink alcohol again that is difficult to control.

It's just that the effects of a psychotropic overdose that caused him to go into a coma last year plus consuming excess alcohol in the range of a month that caused severe liver cirrhosis.

Like cigarettes, alcohol or drugs must have different withdrawal symptoms. Depending on the physical endurance of the addict.

That is the importance of checking yourself and consulting experts when you want to stop the habit that becomes opium. And lucky for Ilham, he was taken to the hospital at the right time. Moments that are crucial to his survival.

Addiction itself is not only on drugs or certain substances, avidness or infatuation in something or in certain activities can also be called addiction. For example, addiction to games, addiction to pornography, addiction to activities or commonly called workaholic, addiction to drinking coffee, addiction to certain objects, fanaticism in an idol and so on. Because addiction itself is the result of brain performance.

Where the brain will release the hormones dopamine and serotonin when someone does an activity or consume something that causes a comfort or pleasant effect. And when the person does not have good control on the feeling of pleasure or comfort, then the brain will release excess hormones.

So that in a certain period of time, when the comfortable and pleasant effects are lost or reduced, the reward system in the brain will send a signal to the body that it needs 'activity' or 'something' back.

Well, the feeling of need is what makes people become addicted.

Suppose when we try to play a game on a smartphone, and it turns out to be very fun. Then we don't control that pleasure. At first we only play at leisure, then start procrastinating on other activities and in the end we will forget our responsibilities just for the sake of playing a game. Even when we do routine activities, our minds are not lost in the slightest on the game, until carried away in our subconscious, even while sleeping.

And when we try to stop playing the game, then it is very possible for us to experience the game. The heart rhythm becomes unstable until the body feels shivering and cold sweats. Emotions are not much different, they are very unstable. We become easily emotional, angry and even hit.

Santri rehab in the rehabilitation cottage that is occupied by Ilham was some also experienced sakau game. The average teenager and children are addicted to online games. They must undergo psychotherapy and take medication to stabilize their emotions.

So long did Luailik's doctor give an explanation when Ilham asked why people could be addicted and ended up in this rehabilitation cottage. Dr. Luailik is a therapist doctor who became a medical counselor for Ilham during the rehabilitation period, a counselor other than Gus Bahtiar who focuses more on therapy through religious channels, and, draw closer to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala and more on understanding the nature of human life.

Dr. Luailik also regulates the rhythm of Ilham's activities to fit the schedule of consumption of drugs that must be taken by Ilham. So it is expected that the habituation does not cause neglect for Inspiration after rehabilitation. Especially immunosuppressant drugs that most likely must be taken routinely for life by Inspiration to avoid the body's rejection reaction after liver transplantation.

Schedule when to do sports, what physical activities are allowed, dietary arrangements, worship activities, and other activities must be carried out with discipline. Liver transplantation is just one of the efforts to improve the life expectancy and quality of life of patients. Discipline to keep it is a major factor in the success of such expectations.

Dr. Luailik also often advised that when Ilham out of the rehabilitation cottage and began to work again, as much as possible to adapt the schedule he lived during rehabilitation. Even when one day Ilham married, must find a partner who can adjust to the rhythm of his life. Because only with discipline, Inspiration can maintain physical and psychological health so that it is expected that he can live a long life as expected.

Hearing doctor Luailik's expectations about marriage, made Ilham laugh a little discordant. Two mistakes in addressing his feelings for women, make him a little antipathy to re-establish relationships. For him at this time is just a focus on improving his life, accompanying the ummah and developing a legacy company from the brother that he greatly respects.

He felt that God had given him a chance to give him a new life, so he promised not to waste it again.

A few days after that, there was a fanfare behind the hall of the cottage. Some santri rehab seemed very enthusiastic to help the arrangement of the new automotive laboratory equipment. Ilham really realized his desire to open an R2 automotive laboratory to equip santri rehab, so that when out of the rehabilitation cottage, not only healed from addiction but also have the provision to step into a new life.

The next two weeks came some sewing equipment and woodworking. Apparently Ilham also really realized his intention to open a handicraft laboratory in an empty room next to the musholla.

After registering the interest of the santri rehab, Ilham also brought practitioners in the world of automotive R2, craftsmen bags and furniture. They were asked to be the mentors of each laboratory.

Although not all rehab students can take part in the training, but all seem enthusiastic about the inauguration of the laboratory. Inspiration hopes that the optimism he built can inspire them to look at the future better.

Time after time passed, the training went as smoothly as expected.

Inspiration has been declared recovered, but he is still not willing to return home. Not enough science for the reason.

In recent days Ilham spent more time following the activities of Gus Bahtiar. Both when filling counseling sessions for santri rehab, filling out studies at several occasions or when Gus Bahtiar went out of the cottage for business.

Therefore, he also became more often sleep in the guest room of the residence of Gus Bahtiar than with other rehab students because they often returned home at night when accompanying Gus Bahtiar to go out of the cottage.

But the last three nights, apparently Ilham was not able to sleep well. He wakes up to the same dream every day. Not a bad dream actually, it's just quite disturbing. Because at the end of the dream always ends with an extraordinary sense of tightness. He always woke up in a state of stinginess and finally unable to sleep again.
