...Hope and Who?...

...****************...

If God granted my prayers to let me live with him I would be used by the villagers. Jealous people certainly exist because beautiful women miss not only me who wishes to live with her. But some of the young men in my village wish it were like me.

It's not uncommon for people to ask me about him. In the mosque alone I asked God if he was my soul mate or if he was just a woman sent for a reason I did not know.

When I got home from the mosque I found him tasting my mother's cooking that I had left behind. We call it village cuisine. Relax and surely even little by little food entered his mouth. His tongue that I saw was a little reddish, and what I saw was not a woman whose eyes I might be a brother. As he said, don't consider me a stranger.

"Have you come Eden ?. Come eat together. Your mother's cuisine is delicious, delicious, and filling." He called me to eat with him.

Without pause. The prayer clothes that still hide my body are still used neatly. He didn't even tell me to change my clothes just yet.

I approached but sat a little far away from him. A man should be able to appreciate a woman when she is enjoying a meal. That's what I did to Miss.

"Eden, if you don't want to eat, at least sit near here. Do you want me to tell you something very important."

"Miss, I want to hear it but eat first. It is forbidden to talk while eating."

"Ups Sorry, Eden. I forgot and not only here but in Makassar it's like that."

In those sharp eyes that lied to my confession, I felt even more sympathy for him. He felt what was inside of me. Shame made me hold this feeling to her.

Missed finished eating.

"Eden, what time is it ?."

"Where do you ask the clock, miss it ?."

"I want to get bored at home too. You can come along while I tell you the important thing I meant."

"Now it's two o'clock."

Pucuk dikin ulampun arrive. Indeed, if fate is on my good side, then you must thank God who may have heard my do'a.

"Yes, I want to."

A kind of inner push that every second pushes me to be with him. The fake comb that I had left in my room I used to comb my hair back I was looking after it broke when I combed my hair.

My mother, who heard Missing's invitation to me, went straight into my bathroom.

"What's Mah ?."

"So I heard Miss taking you to her Phinisi ship. Do you want to come too ?."

"Yes Mah. Only Eden was there for a while. Eden wants to see and feel the ride on the Phinisi ship what is Mah like ?!."

"Not that Mom forbids you. I only worry if you fall in love with her. We never knew Eden that Miss is still a girl or already have a husband and anyways even if you have feelings for her not necessarily she can love you. I've been judging you lately you've been getting closer to her. Remember Eden, he just came and went. Whatever wonderful thing you go through with her will eventually make you cry."

"Mah just calm down. Eden couldn't possibly love him or even have feelings for him. Eden knows Mah, Miss is a woman far away. Eden won't sacrifice my heart until it has to be hurt for love."

"Mamah this is so chatty. Eden understands Mah if that is why Eden went first Mah. Missed waiting for that, Mah."

"Replace back. Be careful if it's on Phinisi's ship."

I came out of the house to Rindu with two friends who were waiting for me on the road in front of the house.

Maybe a little while he waited for me until he did not look as eager as before to go to his Phinis ship.

"What's Missing, not so go huh ?."

"It's not so, you're a long time at home. What the hell made home so long ago."

The question I let get swept away was drowned by my greater desire.

"The sabbath is a little bit so don't we go ?."

"Relope...!."

In a dream I don't know. The unrest turned my back on the turbulent air of hope now receded in the withered paddy. Remember my mother's language that just penetrated the memory in my head.

Resisting the feeling is half a life without a body that is separated at every step of the foot. We're heading for Phinisi's ship, which is leaning on the dock.

"Let me tell you what I said, Eden. Where are you, why are you so far away from me. Come closer so you hear what I want to tell you."

Takeoff. My mother's message for a while I kept as a sign of the value of a symbol of a trust that I keep.

I approached. He started telling me about his sailing ship Phinisi from England to Makassar. Traces of the adventures of the Bugis against the invaders on the earth Nusantara up to the story of a fisherman met a mermaid in the middle of the ocean.

I guess what he wanted to tell me was a bright beam of light piercing through the heart. The romantic story of two men who struggle to defend their love from the rejection of both families or some kind of powerful street cowboy. The story is the story of the warriors of old.

That is the history in human memory. Until now still have the names of the fighters in the heart.

The phinisi ship leaning on the dock started flying the red and white flag. Marking the arrival of Miss to that ship. The four foot-men who had come that night instantly got off the ship saluting Miss.

It's not usually until I'm astonished to see that reality. The people in the dock are just as good as me. What really happened until they were so privileged.

"Hindu, who are you ?." Ask her.

As usual, he smiled and told me to get on his boat.

"Eden, don't mind that. You take it easy and so do I and those who privileged me as well as others. Rather than that you ask how if we sail to enjoy the sea waves in this beautiful ocean. Don't you want to feel the fresh breeze today ?."

I still feel astonished. By looking at the incident, I was rethinking my mother's message.

Without answering I was taken sailing through the small waves.

"Eden, these little waves haven't been much. When I was first sailing with this Phinisi ship.in the middle of the sea the waves are getting ferocious. I could only see the waves in the ocean like little human anger and like great love, like the sacredness of do'a to our Lord. Eden, if you want one day I can take you to Makassar to enjoy the beauty of the city of Makassar."

Phinisi still smiles at the waves at sea like I just said yes.
