"Wadaww is good money too. If you know Dela son of a rich man, I asked him 10 times. Kan mayan make additional monthly shopping money," said Ida while expanding her money like a fan with a big smile.
Ida looked at the money. His eyes sparkle, maybe when viewed from the glasses of honesty Ida eye color is already green.
"Mother! No shame, yes ... I asked for 5 times to change the price you don't know where you want to put your face!"
As quickly as lightning Gati snatched the money from Ida's hands. Ida tried hard to take back the money that Gati took.
"Ihhh father!!" whinek Ida while continuing to reach for his money.
"This is mine Sir! He himself said. I just charge him. Debt is still debt!"
Ida doesn't want to lose. He re-explained what had happened. Gati let out a rough breath. It clucked.
"Now!"
Gati handed the money back. Ketus it said but free. No matter how he spoke, his wife would never change unless a torment followed her.
"Ah amit amit. She is also my wife!" gati muttered in his mind. He drew all his thoughts. After all, Ida was his life. He still glanced lazily at his wife's face while shaking her waist.
"What do you see–see?"
"Fast your lipstick!" said Gati ketus then passed.
"Wife's hard to manage!" the Gutu Gati that kept passing. He chose to fix his fishing rod which he would use for hunting later in the afternoon.
"Huh??"
Ida panic. Immediately Ida took out a small mirror in her bag. She panicked to fix the makeup. Appearance is number one and beauty needs to be highlighted. Dressing menor is her habit and she will feel beautiful with such makeup. But not for anyone else. Ida like ondel – ondel Betawi who will start the show.
"Aaa right ... Jeez lipstickku. Don't–don't be like this," said Ida while pecking her face in front of the mirror. His forefinger was busy fixing his lipsticks that passed through the lip line.
🍂
"Auhhh basic mom–emak eyes duitan. Calculate once he's with the money. His bow money alone was only two hundred thousand, eh he asked for a million. It's so good he's enjoying the fake money!"
Dela was still grumbling with Ida. He did not sincerely lose eight hundred thousand money just like that. Since he lived away from Edi, that much money has been numbered a lot.
Dela walked back to her house. His intention to look for negligee just stopped. He is no longer excited.
Dela's feet still stepped but her mind was not in line. A lot of things revolved around in his brain, spinning fast and making him restless. Edi walked following in the direction Dela left, behind Dela.
Suddenly Dela stopped and turned to face Edi.
"Why did Papi come here?" ask Dela for a moment. In the end one of the big questions in his mind he let out.
Edi gave a rough breath. "Let Papi come to your house" Edi said without answering Dela's questions.
"No. What's Papi coming here for?" Dela had no intention of bringing Edi to the Gaza home.
"Let Papi come with you. I'll explain to you later." Edi said as Edi's eyes stole a glance at the surrounding area. He hinted at Dela to go to the house of Gaza only. Talking about personal matters in the alley near the rented in the middle of the village was too crowded. All they have is to make the problem of Dela as the latest gossip material.
Dela looked around with the corner of her eyes. Sure enough, many mothers–kampung mothers try to eavesdrop on their conversation by hiding behind a fence. Perhaps they thought the fence was enough to cover their existence, but from the gap of the fence their existence could easily be known.
Dela clucking. He has no other choice. Without a word Dela turned around and walked back with Edi who was still following her.
"I'd guess. Where's negligee? Kete's... Uh?"
Sapa Gaza has stopped. Gaza who originally wanted to mock Dela, now looked at Dela questioningly. He asked for more explanation as to why Edi was participating along with Dela.
Edi stared at Gaza. He still could not open up with the man in front of him.
Dela only gave a signal through the gaze of her eyes and the movement of her head to not ask much.
"Lake in."
The three of them sat in the living room, sitting on a simple sofa. Edi circulated his gaze, scrutinizing every inch of the state of the house.
"Small, but quite comfortable," inner Edi.
"Why did Papi come here?" ask Dela directly. He doesn't want to spend–basi any longer. His heart misses but his ego refuses.
"Philosine. Get me a drink first, Del," Edi told Dela.
"Ro ..." Dela protested.
"Take it first."
Dela let out a rough sigh then went to fetch a glass of water. While in the living room the atmosphere was so tense. There was no conversation between Gaza and Edi.
🍂
Edi drank the water. He was thirsty because he had to go through a terrible tragedy.
"Hurry up and say Pi. I want to rest immediately," said dela indifferently. Dela just didn't want to be in such a situation for too long.
"Go home, Del. Papi wants you to go home."
"Gdv"
Far beyond expectations. Dela held back the laughter from exploding. To him, Edi's words were a very funny joke. After going bankrupt, he still asked her to go home. How will he eat later. Ego speaks. He forgot the one million money given just–cuma to Ida.
Edi stared in surprise, and so did Gaza.
"God ... Haeeh ... Going home? Nnnnope. I don't want to go home!" dela.
Seeing his son's response, Edi spoke up. "Something Papi really wants to talk about." Edi was silent for a moment. "This is all a lie. Papi never went bankrupt. Papi just wants to see how Papi's son is, "he continued later.
Edi's words hit him. He felt lied all along. Dela's shoulders go up and down holding back emotions. Then Dela laughed loudly.
"God ... Papi's been lying to me all this time. How could Papi make his son live poor like this."
There was disappointment within Dela. He did not believe it turned out that bankruptcy was just a prank.
"Yes, therefore, Papi wants you to go home. You've had enough of a hard life, dear." Edi looked at Dela expectantly. He hoped his son would go home with him.
"No. I still don't want to go home!" dela kekeuh said. I don't know why he felt so heavy when he heard the word home. He refused to leave the rented house.
"But..."
Said Edi cut off.
"I'm going to take a break, Pi. Hye!"
Without listening to Edi's words, Dela chose to leave the living room. He still could not digest everything that happened.
"You better go home first. Let Dela be my business for now" Gaza pacified Edi. He smiled thinly. Apparently he missed that information.
"All right"
Gaza led Edi to the door.
