"Mother... "
Briel greeted Tere, who was struggling with kitchen utensils to prepare the lunch menu. Siti also helped Tere to handle everything. For Tere if Tere can still, preparing food is a mandatory thing that he must do.
Briel walked with her briefcase to her mother. "What flavor is Bun?" ask Briel. He peeked at the cooking Tere made.
"The gurame fish is spicy."
"Relope ..." It was Briel's favorite food from childhood. "It must be delicious" said Briel later.
"Where's Bun's dad?"
Briel dips in search of her father's whereabouts.
"Still in the office. Soon go home he said," Tere replied as he stirred his cooking.
Tere took a clean spoon. He spooned the still boiling sauce, I blew it and gave it to his son.
"Where? Yummy?"
"Feel Mother's the best!"
The taste of Tere's cooking never crossed Briel's tongue. Fitting, delicious and certainly a luxurious taste even though cheap. Tere smiled at his son who always liked his cooking.
"Bun, I'll go upstairs first" said Briel. She wanted to immediately clean her sticky body and wanted to touch her two babies immediately.
With a swift step, Briel climbed up the stairs for the sake of the stairs.
Briel opened the door to her room. "Gey–the"
Briel weakens his voice when he sees his wife sleeping sideways next to Nino and Rio who are also fast asleep. Gea used only one hand as a pillow. Briel walked over to his sleeping wife. He slowed his steps so that the sound of his footsteps did not disturb Gea's sleep.
He looked at that tired face. The face was trying to stay fine– fine even though the reality was tired. Briel smiled softly. Without touching his wife, Briel puts her briefcase on the table and decides to clean her body first.
🍂
Briel came out of the bathroom with a fitter body. Buliran–buliran water is still left in his body. She wrapped the towel around her waist while one of her hands held a small towel to dry her wet hair.
"Ehhc ... The shadow? Have you been home since?" gea asked with her eyes half closed. He was still sleepy but it was time to wake up.
Gea pinched back her long, messy hair. Sometimes he also yawns wide because of his drowsiness that has not disappeared.
"It hasn't been long before."
Briel walks over to Gea and steals a short kiss from Gea's pouting ruum lips as she wakes up.
There was no rejection from Gea. He welcomed Briel's treatment warmly as well.
"I prepared the clothes first, Shadow," said Gea who now began to move from her bed.
"Eh uh uh ..." Briel held Gea's body to stay in the bed. "No need. I can do it myself. After all you're busy taking care of the twins." Briel did not want to make his wife even more exhausted. He just eases his wife's work.
"But Bayang–"
"Hey ..." Briel cut off Gea's speech. "Just follow what I say. As long as I can do it myself, I will do it without your help. What's the point of me being your husband if I let you get tired of even getting sick, honey?" Briel was silent for a moment.
"I'll be a failed husband if it happens to you."
Briel raised her eyebrows gently. He tried to give understanding to Gea so that Gea obeyed his words. He did it for the good of Gea.
Gea took a long breath. "All right, thank you, Shadow." Gea smiled sweetly.
Briel started looking for a dress instead. He chose the casual clothes he used to wear at home.
"Why did the shadow come home?" gea asked when Briel had finished wearing her shirt.
"Cocon't you go home? Didn't Bayang said there was a meeting with the client?"
"Udah done. What matters is that the meeting is done. The business after that there is Adam who handles," explained Briel relaxed.
Gea just shook her head slowly. Apparently the syndrom of superiors is still attached in Briel even more becoming.
"Gege Briel, come down. We'll have lunch together." Suddenly Tere's voice interrupted their conversation. Tere took them, right behind the door that was still closed.
"Yes, Mother, just a minute."
Briel opens the door for Tere.
"Let's go down" said Tere once again.
Briel did not answer Tere's call, and he stared at Gea, asking for his consent to come down. Gea gives a signal if it is better to replace it because there must be someone who takes care of the little one.
"We'll be later, Mother. Now Father and Mother first eat. Later after you guys, it's our turn."
"No, we eat the same. The twins will let Bi Siti take care of them first."
There is no rejection. Tere said it out loud.
In the end they agreed to Tere's advice.
🍂
"Bun, how about I find a babysitter to help Geyang look after the twins during the day? Later that night let us take care of them both."
Briel spoke up when they had eaten lunch at the dinner table. He asked his parents for advice.
"Hmmm .. good that, father agreed," said Frans then feed back the food into his mouth. There is no harm if it helps both of them.
"If Mother?" Briel asks Tere for his opinion.
"That's better Bri, pity your wife's overachieving." Tere pointed at Gea's existence with his chin.
Hearing his name being mentioned, Gea looked up at them in turn. Her face hinted at a "cock me?". He does not feel tired. In fact, he was able to smile widely just by looking at his two sons who he was able to touch with his own two hands.
"But what is clear is what Gege thinks" Tere said later. Whatever decision it is, they must decide.
"No need to ask my wife's opinion, Mother. Of course, he will take care of them himself" said Briel. Because Briel had talked about it with Gea, but Gea did not agree to it. He wanted to take care of them himself, of course with the help of Briel and their parents.
Tere smiled understandingly. There are some mothers who want to take care of their own children without the help of outsiders. And he understands that.
"According to Mother, you really have to use the services of a baby caretaker so that you are not overwhelmed." Tere smiled towards Gea. That statement was intended for his son-in-law.
"Listen up, honey. Is that right what I said?"
Gea stared at Briel for a moment and sighed, giving up on her argument.1:3 will not win.
"Allah ... But enough during the day. For our own night take care of them." Gea agreed to it on terms.
Briel nodded. "Yes ..."
Tere and Frans were only able to smile a little at the child and his daughter-in-law.
