DRIZZLE IN THE EYES OF THE HEART
eps. 33

"We miss you too, Amel, where are you now? Ask kely."

"I was in Bandung, in the house of uncle surya, I missed my grandfather and grandmother very much, so I went back to Indonesia and forgot to tell you, I said."

"We don't have a problem with that, how are you? Ask kely."

"I'm fine, I said I lied to hide my pain (forgive me kelly because I told you one lie, but I was forced to do that, I said in my heart)."

"Thank God, if you're okay, ' said Kely."

"And how are you, Dion and your son? I asked."

"We're all fine, Kely said."

"Then I hung up the phone because I had to help Grandma cook for dinner, I said."

"Yes, all right, said kelly."

Grandma asked me to peel the red and white onions, I also had to stain the onions with red chili peppers that taste very spicy. I'm not used to this spicy scent so I sneeze. After all the cooking was done, the next task was to bring all these dishes to the dining table.

At the dining table there were already grandfather and uncle solar waiting for his food, they looked very hungry. In the middle of the dinner, Grandpa asked me.

"Amel, what kind of son do you think he is? Ask grandpa."

Grandpa's question choked me, though,

"Son? a very kind, polite, loving son, I said."

"Did you like it? Ask grandpa."

"Why did Grandpa ask such a thing? I asked."

"Grandfather just wanted to make sure, if true grandfather will ask the son to propose to you, said grandfather."

"Sniff enough! don't force the amel to marry, the amel can't, I said."

"But what's your reason for not getting married? Ask grandpa."

"I can't tell you why, I said in tears."

I couldn't bear the pain of my head because of my own crying, every corner of the room seemed to rotate 180 degrees. My body was sprawled on the floor before uncle took me to the room, they were all panicking, especially grandfather who looked so upset at himself for making me like this.

When I came to my senses, grandfather clasped my palm very tightly, then grandfather apologized with all the questions that made me feel a little depressed. I also feel guilty for grandfather, because of my illness, grandfather must apologize to me. Grandma asked me to rest, so that my condition was better and tomorrow I could move back.

The next day my son came to see me, and I also did not expect my son to cook for me. He made me porridge and fed me very patiently.

"Amel, what are you sick with? Ask the son."

"I wasn't sick, I just felt really tired last night, I said."

"Well, I'll go to the toilet first, I said."

"Yes be careful, let me help you stand up, said the son."

"Okay, I said."

When I was in the toilet, my phone rang, my confused son would pick it up or wait for me to come back from the toilet.

The son waited too long and decided to pick up his phone, but the son did not say a word, because his eyes were fixed on the drugs in my bag.

"Son! I said."

"Amel, please tell me honestly, what are you sick with? Ask the son."

"Son, it's not mine but, I said I haven't had time to continue."

"But what amel, why should you lie, if you don't want to tell me, it's okay, I'll just ask grandparents, said the son."

"Son! son! no, I beg them not to know this either, I will tell you only, but before that, I want you to promise not to say anything to your grandparents, and also uncle surya, I said."

"I promise and you can keep my promise, said the son."

"The doctor said I had kidney failure, and I had to take the drugs to help me get rid of my pain and headache a little bit, I said."

"Amel, it's a terrible disease, why don't you just be honest with your grandfather, grandmother, and uncle surya? Ask the son."

"I know my decision is wrong, but I would feel more guilty if I made them continue to worry about me, they were good enough for me, I said."

"They will feel more guilty than you, they will feel less concerned about you so as not to know if you are sick, said the son."

"That you say is true, but I will not be able to say it to them, I said."

"If you want, I will tell my grandfather, grandmother, and also my uncle, said the son."

"No son! you promised me, I said."

"Alright if it's your wish, but I'll take you to the doctor and you must not refuse, said the son."

"All right, I said."

My son drove me to the hospital to be examined by the doctor again, not too far away but exhausting for me. After arriving at the hospital, we had to wait a few minutes to get in line. Not long after the doctor called my name, I felt like running away from this room. But I can't let the son down with me, he's already taken me to this place.

"Doctor, if you may know, how long has the amel been sick? Ask the son."

"Amel didn't tell you? Ask the doctor."

"No, he even hid his pain from his grandfather, grandmother and uncle, said the son."
