DESERVEDLY
Chapter 6 - Help Me

Devano panicked as soon as he saw Intan. His motorbike collapsed too because it was not right when parked on the side of the road. Even though his bike collapsed, he did not care at all. His focus was really on Intan.

At the moment Intan is in a condition lying next to his motorbike. Intan was still conscious, both of her eyes were wide open. His body part was not injured at all. Surprisingly, Intan actually did not rush to wake up even though he was fine.

“Tan, have your legs sprained?” Devano crouched down beside Intan.

“No,” replied Intan.

“You okay?”

“Iya.” Again Intan replied in a soft tone.

“OK. You're not doing well. Awake first! Here let me help.”

Intan prevents Devano from helping him. Slowly Intan sat down, then stood up without many words. What Intan said was right, he was fine, but physically after falling off his bike. Moreover, before this the speed of the Intan motorbike was not too fast and the road was empty of vehicles. Intan had a single accident as her focus was reduced.

The collapsed Intan motor is taken care of by Devano. Similarly, the items that were originally messy, rearranged also by Devano. As for Intan, he was silent.

“Good. There's one thing left that's not right.” Devano ruffled waist.

“Motormu?” guess Intan.

“Not my motor, but you.”

“What's wrong with me, Dev?”

“You ... not sane.”

Intan's reaction was also provoked. Devano managed to change the mimic of Intan's face, so upset after previously silent without expression.

“Ha? What did you say? I'm fine, Dev. You are overdoing it!”

“Hahaha. This is Intan. Yasudah. Come on, let's go home! I'll drop you off to your house.”

“No want!”

“Must want!”

“Deeeeev!”

Devano no longer listened to Intan's screams. With his calm attitude, Devano headed for his motorbike, tidied up a little luggage scattered, then started driving his bike. This time slowly, because Devano does not want Intan to get back into an accident.

Still a few more alleys before Intan reached the alley area of his house, until then his motorbike was stopped suddenly. Devano who saw it immediately turned the bow and approached Intan.

The engine of the Intan and Devano motors are still both on. However, even though their bikes are next to each other, no one opens the chat for a few seconds.

“Dev, help me.”

Finally, it was Intan who opened the chat. However, the sentence that came out of his mouth actually made Devano confused. Before this Intan was indeed a single accident, but he did not say please at all because indeed his condition was not worrisome. Now, the word please that is spoken is very surprising to Devano.

“What can I help you with?”

“Please me, Dev. I don't want to be set up.”

The shocked mimic was clearly drawn on Devano's face. He did not expect that from earlier what Intan thought throughout the journey was about a matchmaking that was not at all expected.

“You want to be matched, Tan?”

Intan nodded while showing a face asking for mercy. Actually, this kind of attitude is rarely shown. Usually Intan looks tough. It seems, there is a sense of turmoil that he cannot master, so please say that comes out to reduce the burden on the heart.

The engine finally shuts down after Devano hinted. Devano wants to hear the Intan's speech more clearly to better understand the problem. After being asked, Devano also listened to Intan's story briefly to the topic of matchmaking.

“Why don't you want to be matched, Tan?”

“Because I don't love her, Dev?”

“Do you love others?”

“Not really. I just don't want to be betrothed.”

“I think ... he deserves you, Tan.” Devano argues after hearing the background of someone who will be betrothed to Intan.

“Worthy? Where to, Dev?”

“You are beautiful, kind, educated, and your career is good. As for your candidate, he's a tyrant, has a car, and certainly has a love for you, Tan. You will definitely be happy with her.”

Instantly Intan immediately turned his eyes. There was a sense of disappointment because Devano could not understand his feelings.

“You do not understand,” said Intan while still shifting your eyes.

Pause for a moment. Both Intan and Devano were silent. Intan is still late with her feelings, while Devano dissolves in her thoughts.

“It should not be about being seen as being happy because of the state of money, Dev. I ... don't want it. Nor love her.”

“Then, are you going to keep your heart space empty, Tan? Didn't you say you didn't love someone?”

“Heart space must be filled. Not by force, but by sincerity.”

The last sentence is really deep. It was from there that Devano began to understand Intan. Love cannot be forced. Love also cannot be based only on the proper word that is presented.

“Tan, if you really don't want to be betrothed, say it! Speak carefully. Reduce your heart load.”

Actually, Intan knows what to do. Exactly the same as what Devano said. Yes, Intan must say, until the burden of his heart is reduced. Intan knows that. So far, what Intan needs is reinforcement. And, today he got that reinforcement from Devano.

“Dev, thank you for hearing my words. Tonight I'll say it.” Intan's smile expands.

Devano's smile also expands. That smile became a farewell to Intan on that day. Both Intan and Devano, they both do not know when they can meet again because between them there is no debt or return.

Miraculous. Other than fate, it is the word that deserves to accompany everything that happens today. Including during the night at Intan's house, he ventured to express the burden of heart to his mother's father. There's Intan's sister there too. After going through several chats, the matchmaking was officially canceled.

The crescent moon adorns the night sky. Stars scattered and blinking spoiled at Intan. A smile also expands. The heart of the night was shrouded in deep gratitude.

“Under the same sky, is there anyone who thinks of me out there? O my soul mate, which place are destined for us to meet?” Intan monologues, while looking at the crescent moon and flashing stars.

Under the same sky, at the same time, but different cities. Sandhi, the handsome lecturer who was once a idol of Intan was involved in serious problems with his mother.

“Sandhi! What do you mean to suddenly cancel this matchmaking?” The mother is angry because of Sandhi's sudden decision. The match will take place next week.

“Im sorry Sandhi, Ma. After Sandhi thought, Sandhi's heart wasn't for Nisa. Sandhi …. Sandhi loves someone else.”

Plaque!

One slap landed smoothly on Sandhi's left cheek. Sandhi just looked down, while accepting the mother's wrath on him.

“You should have said from the beginning. If now, what would you say to Nisa's family, ha?”

“Im sorry Sandhi, Ma. Sandhi can not ...”

“Enough! Think about that word again! You deserve to be with Nisa. The matchup ... will still be carried out!”

“But, Ma!”

The mother no longer listened to Sandhi. His decision can no longer be challenged.

Under the same sky, Devano smiled cheerfully as he observed some portraits of the shots as the children studied. However, the most numerous is the face portrait of Intan. Portraits of Intan's face laughing cheerfully, portraits of Intan's face that frown, even portraits of Intan's face when upset on the swing were successfully immortalized.

“Tan, if I said love, would you accept? But, do I deserve you?” Inner Devano, monologuing with himself.

Sandhi suddenly cancels her match, while Devano dreams of expressing love. What will happen next? Looking forward to the story!
