DESERVEDLY

DESERVEDLY
Chapter 11 - Invitation

The rain subsided when dusk greeted. The cloudy sky that was gray had revealed orange color scratches. Looks elegant, beautiful, and charming at the same time. With coffee and warm heart conditions, it is clearly able to leave an unusual impression for the connoisseur of the twilight atmosphere.

One by one the coffee shop visitors began to retreat even though the raindrops still fell to the earth. Not how fast compared to before, but quite safe and will not get soaked when you stand on the path.

“It looks like I want to go home too, Dev.” Intan tidied up the position of his coffee cup.

“Still drizzling, Tan.”

“No problem. Just drizzle.”

“Good. Be careful on the road.”

Devano has no intention of preventing Intan. Just let him Intan get ready to go home before the night really comes. However, it is not unexpected that the steps of Intan actually stopped when it has swung three steps. The intention behind the body in order to get one answer from Devano.

“Dev, I'm kepo, nih. Can ask?”

“Please. Don't hesitate.”

“Since when did you move house?”

Devano was silent for a while, then smiled widely. He did not expect that Intan would ask that.

“Are you getting curious about me, Tan?”

“It looks like yes, but only in the part where you live only.”

“Serious only about where I live?”

“OK, if you don't want to answer. I'm h-home. Daa.”

“Wait!”

Intan's right arm was held by Devano. For a moment, the situation persisted until the two were silent and Devano immediately removed Intan's arm.

“You're a habit of snatching, Tan.” Devano failed to act calm because he was caught in the trap of Intan's eyes.

Your attitude is more unexpected. There is no defense let alone pretend to sulk as previously done. What Intan did was smile sweetly, waved his right hand at Devano, then left without saying anything more. Intan attitude like this is what makes Devano unable to withstand the turmoil of the heart.

“Intan. Do I really deserve you? If so, let me come see your parents.” Inner Devano.

Bora-Sora-Nora welcomes on the page as soon as Intan comes. Pet cat Intan was meowing slowly as a sign to ask pampered owner. Cute and adorable, being one of the tired drugs for Intan.

“You've eaten yet?” Intan rubbed the top of Bora-Sora-Nora's head alternately.

“Meow-meow.”

“Not eaten, yes. Then let Kak Intan get it, yes.”

“Ibuuuuu. Brother Intan chat with cat againiiiii!” mira exclaimed from the front door of the house.

Intan was so anxious with the attitude of the sister who was still a 2nd semester student. Always look for ways to start a word debate with Intan. Fortunately, Intan never got to overdo it. Anxious and fighting each other is yes, but not until stored in the heart let alone to the point of not greeting each other.

“Mir. Quickly back the boarding! Brother before see you vacation here long ago,” chirped Intan.

“Ibuuuuu. Brother Intan ngusir Mira, Buuuu.”

The mother immediately went out of the house to mediate an insignificant debate between her two daughters.

“Maluuu. You guys are so embarrassed. Keep fighting. Come on, everyone log in!”

If the mother had said so with an indisputable expression, neither Intan nor Mira could resist. Mira sat down casually in front of the still-lit television, while Intan was about to head to her room.

Intan went to the door. Her steps swayed towards the nightstand near the television to pick up the package Mira was referring to.

“From who, Brother?” mira asked without getting up from her sitting position.

“From fans. Want to unboxing with sister?”

“Bby. Here, Kak.”

Intan opens the package accompanied by Mira. True, the package is a delivery from one of Intan's fans of the novel. Something like this is not the first time that Intan has gotten. Previously Intan also got several packages of submissions from fans whose contents vary. Once Intan got accessories stone bracelets, dolls, even Moringa perfume.

For the package this time, Intan get a purple hoodie couple from fans of his novel. Wrapped neatly and there are greeting cards in it.

“Hopefully the author is soon united with his soul mate. Greetings Luv from loyal reader.” Such is the message in the greeting card that turns out to invite laughter Mira.

“Hahaha. So her fan of novels sister knows all?”

“Know what, Mir?”

“Ya know that Kak Intan jombloooo. Hahaha.”

“Mir. His shit's guarded, Nduk!” reprimand the mother who at that time heard Mira's curse.

Intan's turn is now confused because Mira gets a reprimand, but not for long. Next Intan tidied up the package, then wanted to go to his room. However, again his steps stopped because he saw two pieces of invitation on the other side of the television.

“Someone wants to get married, huh?”

It was the mother who told. Two invitations near the television came from a neighbor whose daughter was due to hold a wedding. At that time, the mother also took the time to advise Intan.

“Your match has been canceled. So, hunt you find another acquaintance, Tan.”

“Where anyone wants to know Kak Intan, Mom. Kak Intan's appearance likes origin, tuh. Time yes choose hoodie clothes only if again out of the house. Not graceful at all,” said Mira, who immediately got a slow pinch on the arm by the mother.

Intan's gaze was immediately cast on the sister. Intan disagrees less with Mira's opinion about the appearance of Intan's choice. For Intan, number one is a sense of comfort. It is up to others to say what, most importantly Intan is still doing what he thinks is still within reasonable limits.

“Tan, don't keep novels that you focus on. You should think about it too.” The mother advised.

“Iya, Mom. But I can't stop writing novels. Who knows when I met someone because of one of my novels. No one knows either, right. Hihi.” Intan reasoned for the sake of melting the atmosphere that seemed to start tense.

“As far as you are. Most importantly, remember your growing age. Oh yes one more. Someone slipped another invitation under the door. I put it on your bed.”

“From who, Mom?”

“No sender name. I haven't opened it yet because it's yours. Check yourself there!”

Intan rushed to his room to see the invitation that the mother meant. A piece of pink paper lay on the bed. There is a “invitation for Intan” on the front of the wrapper. The rest, no more writing.

Soon Intan saw the inside of the invitation. There was a message written in there. A simple message full of clarity of meaning.

“Come to Cafe Bintang on Sunday at nine. Table number 69 outdoor area. I wait there.”

There is no sender name. Intan repeatedly flipped through the wrapping section along with the invitation sheet, but there were no other words there at all. The invitation sender seemed to have deliberately kept his identity a secret.

“What prank isn't it, huh?”

Intan weighed, will be present to meet the invitation or not. There is a sense of curiosity as well as worry if the invitation is a fad.

“Good. There's no harm in me coming there.”

Intan decides to attend to fulfill the mysterious invitation. Then, what will he meet there? Fun or just the opposite? Meanwhile, is Devano still able to survive behind the question ‘do I deserve to Intan?’ when his feelings got bigger? Looking forward to the story! 💜
