"You're still my distant brother!" sasha said with a choked tone.
"I am not at all your distant brother, nor do I care about all your brother's hostility towards me. Someday I'll carry you on my shoulder and get you out of here. Until then, wait for me baby!" chris said as he blinked his eyes at Sasha.
Chris turned around and walked towards the door while Sasha was still staring at the man's back while holding her lips, as Lana walked in and carried another pile of laundry.
"What's wrong with you?" ask Lana.
"Chris kissed my lips." said Sasha in a raucous tone.
"He always kisses you."
Sasha swallowed with great difficulty. "No. He never kissed me like this."
Lana's eyebrows shot up and she grinned. "I think it's time!"
"What?" asked Sasha who was confused to hear Lana's words.
"It's okay. Here. Can you open this dishwasher. My hands are full."
Sasha quickly regained consciousness from the daydream and immediately helped open the dishwasher and helped her best friend to arrange dishes and other cutlery into the machine. But Sasha still felt shock and silence while helping Lana.
"Don't let Chris piss you off" Lana said softly. "Chris thinks he's actually helping me, even if he's not. I don't mind at all to help you, in every way I can. I owe you so much and so does Hans..."
"You don't owe us anything, Lana." cut Sasha in a hurry. "Oh, Oh my God. You should have been straightforward with us and not allowed us to take advantage of your kindness. You're not assertive enough to reject us and be frank."
"I knew. That's why my career isn't moving forward in the office. I just don't like disputes." Lana admitted.
"You've had enough strife in your life."
"I love both my parents. Really." Lana's face flushed red when saying these words.
"But they also quarrel before you. Like both of our parents. Mom always hates dad and always goes to parties and ends up drunk. Mother was always drunk to forget all her problems with father, even though we did not see the real problem. You know, I made Brother Hans cold to every woman. He often teased Kak Hans when Kak Hans was eight years old and getting worse. It made Kak Hans suffer from a severe sense of inferiority when he was in High School."
"really? Then he can handle the problem well now" said Lana sharply.
Sasha shaking. " Not really. If Brother Hans can overcome the problem. He's gonna get a better woman than Joy."
"I thought you liked Joy!"
Sasha looks embarrassed. "Indeed like that. She has a good and important position in Sara, the exclusive clothing store where she works."
"Oh, Sasha." said Lana tired while shaking her head.
"I knew. I do take advantage of others but I try to do that in a good way. I always send flowers, or gifts, or something after that." Sasha admitted.
Lana laughed heartily. " Yes it is. Here help me to clean up any leftover laundry that doesn't fit in the machine and then we can go to rest. I'm tired."
"Then you can tell me what kind of canape and food you want me to cook for tomorrow" Lana asked. Lana is aware that she has to take an early break because tomorrow will be a logistical disaster day for her. He had to get up early and prepare all the food and snacks for 40 people alone. But Lana knew that she would be able to do it because she had already done it and Sasha was her best friend.
"I've already prepared breakfast" Lana said without noticing Hans any longer because her heart was beating so fast. The man seemed so sturdy in tight jeans and shirt buttons that opened to show his shoulders are field. Lana tried her hardest not to pay attention to the man she had loved since childhood.
"Coffee?" ask Hans.
"There's a kettle."
Hans poured himself coffee in a cup while watching Lana's nimble hand gestures as the woman smeared butter on the biscuits and moved the eggs to a plate already filled with sausages and bacon.
"You're not eating?" hans asked while sitting on the chair.
"There's no time. Most of the guests will come for lunch. So this has to be done now before I get too busy." said Lana while arranging a piece of canape on the baking sheet.
Hans' sensual lips tightly clenched together forming a thin line. "I've always disliked Chris but he's right about one thing. You did let Sasha use you."
"You and Sasha were always by my side when I had no one else" Lana said, unaware of Hans's eyes. " I think Sasha deserves everything I can do for her."
"You're humbling yourself."
"I really appreciate when other people do everything for me without being asked." - Lana. He put the canape into the oven and set the timer, flicking his damp hair loose from the loop back.
Hans' gaze followed Lana's figure in a bag of loose trousers and an oversized T-shirt. "You're dressed like an old woman." Hans grumbled.
Lana glanced at him, surprised. "I dress well when I go to the office."
"Like an old widow" Hans errat. "You're wearing the same clothes you were when you were fat. Now you're not fat anymore. Why aren't you wearing the right clothes?"
It was shocking because Hans paid enough attention to himself even the way he dressed. "The fashion model is Sasha, not me. In addition, I am also not the type of women who follow the latest fashion and trends. I'm just an ordinary woman." Lana reminded Hans.
Hans frowned and thought that Lana had a severe self-esteem problem. He and Sasha did not help the girl much either. Lana always accepts whatever she and Sasha throw at her, as if she deserves it. Hans was very surprised to realize how much it was enough to annoy him. Seeing Lana so underestimated by herself and her sister. It's not that I'm interested in him Hans said in his heart. Lana's not my dream type of woman at all.
"Joy's coming this morning and I have to go to get him."
Lana just smiles a little "Sasha is very much expecting Joy's arrival and very much hopes that Joy will help her this time."
"I think he'll try. Breakfast!! You won't survive without breakfast."
"I really don't have the time." declined Lana who started preparing another canape on the other pan. "Unless you're willing to sacrifice yourself to help me take care of a bowl of dough?"tanyanya while stirring the bowl that has contained the dough while smiling ignorantly.
Hans's sparkling gray eyes implied affection despite still holding him back. "No, thank you."
"I don't think so either!" lana replied with a small chuckle.
Hans watched Lana work while eating breakfast, various faint thoughts flashed in his mind. Lana was already a part of her life so she never felt uncomfortable when they were together. Hans is very difficult to get along with other people. He looks very restrained and keep his distance, mesiki in fact he is a loner who does not know how to get along with the people around him. Like Lana herself, Inner Hans considered. The woman was very shy to be among the unknown people and tonight, she would be thrown straight into the crowd that she did not even like.
Joy's friends are up-and-coming, upper-class people. Honestly, Hans himself did not feel comfortable in the middle of them and sure enough, Lana would not like it. They love luxury cars, luxury vacations, diamonds, investments, and they hang out in a social sphere that involves some of the most famous people in the world, from movie stars, to drivers, to finance experts, even to politicians. They group their friends by wealth and status, not character. In their world, right and wrong never existed!
