Chapter 18

Edgar decides to take his job to Lyn's VIP room for a few days until Lyn is allowed to go home. While Milo will handle in temporary company.

The next morning Milo got a call from Lice's doctor to see him at his office. 

Edgar was already sitting on the chair opposite Lice. Milo stood beside Edgar and prepared to listen to Lice's explanation.

"Master, lab results show that Ms. Lyn had anaphylactic shock from soy."

Edgar and Milo frowned.

"Soya.. Does it mean soy allergy? Ask Milo.

Doctor Lice nodded steadily.

"Allergies are so bad why?" Edgar asked because he was still confused by the severity of Lyn's condition which was only said to be allergic.

"I will explain first, sir. Anaphylaxis is a severe immune system reaction that occurs suddenly after the body is exposed to an allergen or allergy trigger. Also known as anaphylactic shock, reactions classified as emergency medical conditions can occur anywhere within seconds to minutes after exposure to allergens.Allergic symptoms vary greatly, depending on the trigger and severity. Some people may feel hives or runny nose when exposed to allergens, but anaphylactic reaction in people with severe allergies can cause shock to death if not treated immediately."

Hearing Lice's last sentence, Edgar clenched his hands until his fingers turned white. His face looks unfriendly.

Milo who saw it immediately held Edgar's shoulder in order to control his emotions. Lice who saw the change in the look of Edgar's face felt stiff did not dare to speak anymore. But he is a doctor who must speak according to the condition of the patient.

"Fortunately there is no swelling in the respiratory tract and also you bring it in time so that Miss Lyn can get first aid that can save from her critical condition.  Seeing the condition of Miss Lyn like this most likely there are family members who have a history of soy allergy anaphylactic shock, it is also possible that Miss Lyn has experienced it." Add Lice with a little entertaining Edgar.

After exiting Lice's doctor's room, Edgar and Milo return to Lyn's VIP room. Before turning the doorknob, Edgar turned to look at Milo seriously. 

"Mil, please find out the culprit. Finish as soon as possible."

Milo just nodded slowly while blinking his eyes for a long time.

Then Edgar opened the door of the VIP room cautiously for fear of waking up Lyn who was resting. But it turns out that Lyn had woken up when the nurses were checking in Lyn's room.

After the nurses leave, Edgar and Milo approach Lyn's bed.

"How are you doing?" Edgar's Niceties.

Lyn just smiled thinly.

Edgar wanted to ask Lyn a few things. Lyn's condition is still weak. Edgar could not bear it and decided to postpone the question until Lyn looked healthier.

When Edgar was struggling with his work. A nurse entered Lyn's VIP room with a package.

"Excuse me young master, there's a package for you."

Edgar frowned. Then he looked at the nurse. "Where?"

Seeing Edgar like that the nurse became nervous. "Sorry young master, the gatekeeper said that this package was sent by the delivery service and only your name and address were written to this hospital."

"Let's put it on the table." Edgar said quickly.

The nurse placed the package on Edgar's desk and then took a break from Edgar's presence.

Edgar did not glance at the package in the slightest he just did his job while watching over Lyn. Edgar does fit his nickname, 'A cold CEO who cares nothing but his work and family'. In the VIP room, Edgar sees only Lyn and her work.

In the afternoon Milo called Edgar, reporting that there was no Shakila in the pantry. There was only an adult female office girl who was making melon juice for Lyn then came a young office girl who seemed to be asking something, something, but the position of the melon juice was covered by their bodies both of the cctv. 

Milo interrogates the two office girls, but they confess that no one has met Shakila and they don't look suspicious. Even Milo had already checked the entire cctv from a few days ago, but the results were not found Shakila met them.

Edgar was really confused to hear it.

"Thank you brother Ed." Said Lyn quietly with a blush face after being fed by Edgar.

Edgar simply replied with a smile.

"Yesterday before like this, what did you eat? You don't eat weird, do you have time on campus?" Search Edgar in a soft voice.

"I'm just breakfast cereal and haven't eaten or drank anything until I got to the company, when I was in the company I was just drinking melon juice."

"Didn't you touch anything else but that?"

Lyn nodded confidently. "What's with the food and drink?" Lyn's eyes puffed up instantly "was I poisoned?"

Edgar raised his eyebrows. "Maybe yes. But not poison."

"Huh. Meanin?" Lyn was curious.

Edgar breathed. Then she tells Lyn what Lice's doctor said. But Edgar did not tell her the last sentence that made her emotional.

"You're like this after drinking melon juice. Maybe someone sabotaged your drink in the pantry room. Milo's been investigating, but nothing is suspicious."

"Soya allergy. This incident is the same as that experienced by mother." Lyn's tears are well over and will be ready to spill.

"Your mother has that history?" Ask Edgar.

Lyn nodded slowly then told a story while sobbing.

"That day the mother had nausea and vomiting in some parts of her face, when she came home from the doctor, Shakila said that the mother's allergy had relapsed. Every day I cook food at home, I cook carefully because my mother and I have the same allergies. On the same day my father came home very angry, the evidence says I sold the land of a cake shop building in C city. When my father was beating me, suddenly Shakila shouted to find soy extract in the kitchen spice place. Dad was really angry. If I don't get out of the house, I'll kill me."

"Soya abstract." Edgar frowned. "Could anyone include soy extract also in your melon juice?"

Hearing the conjecture from Edgar, Lyn wiped her tears and looked at Edgar seriously.

"Shakila. Yeah, it must be Shakila. In the company no one knew that I had soy allergies, only Shakila was the only one who knew about me. Soy allergies recur from foods or drinks that do not contain soy in the slightest, it is very strange. This incident is the same as the one that my mother experienced."

Edgar clenched his hands tightly withstanding the emotional turmoil of hearing Lyn's story.

A few hours later, Lyn fell asleep due to the influence of drugs. Edgar calls Milo to see him in the VIP room immediately.

Milo enters Lyn's VIP room with a stack of documents that happens to be a lot to be signed by Edgar. After putting the documents on the table, Edgar told Milo to sit down and immediately tell him what Lyn had told him.

Milo listened very seriously.

"My feeling is true, Shakila is not a good person near us." Milo Mumbled.

Milo was soon distracted by a package in the shape of a large envelope.

"What's this?" Ask Milo while taking the package.

Edgar shrugged his shoulders "Either."

"Suddenly there was a nurse who delivered it here, she said the package was delivered by a delivery service." Edgar said that he doesn't care about anything.

Milo raised his eyebrows, then opened the large envelope to check.

And Milo was very surprised to see the contents. A few minutes passed and he saw the whole. He then gave it to Edgar.

Because it was in Milo's hands, Edgar would not want to see it. Edgar was no less surprised when he saw it.
