Code 810: Disappearance of the Diatmica
Chapter Forty

The sound of footsteps drew closer to the spot where detectives Egan and Keiko waited for approximately forty-five minutes.

When the door of the room was opened, stood a sturdy man who was so familiar to the two detectives, who else if not Dalmar the accomplice in charge of the art gallery.

“Happy afternoon detective!“ dalmar said in an unusually polite tone.

Detective Egan stands first and welcomes the greetings from Dalmar who stands firmly in the doorway.

“Kata Rara you plan to meet Pak Gilen!?“ Dalamar is trying to confirm.

“Rara?“ detective Egan said he was trying to find information about the name that Dalmar had just uttered.

“Rara is the secretary of Pak Gilen,” Dalmar replied.

“Oh, it was not the name of the receptionist who used to welcome us behind the table that circled some staff there,” sounded a disappointed tone in every word that said from his mouth.

“Oh sorry if my answer disappoints you,” Dalmar validates detective Egan's feelings.

“For me it is not too important,”, said detective Egan trying to return to his usual attitude when he finally faced Dalmar who turned out to be good at assessing someone's condition and situation.

“When can we meet Mr Gilen?“ detective Keiko interrupted.

“Oh yes, I almost forgot. You're being asked to go into Mr. Gilen's room now. Let me drop off,” said Dalmar who then walked first and gestured to detectives Egan and Keiko to follow his steps.

Detective Keiko who understands what Dalmar means then gets up from her seat and detective Egan who also understands allows detective Keiko to walk first and he follows the two from behind.

Although they entered Gilen's room several times and passed through the table several times, only this time they focused on the table.

A beautiful young woman, with straight waist-length hair and formal attire that looked perfectly suited to her nice face and body, sat behind the table.

Dalmar had a conversation with the woman in front of him and then turned his body and now again faced with the two detectives who had just stood quietly behind Dalmar's body.

“This is Rara, the secretary I talked about earlier. You can see that Rara is much prettier than the receptionist in front there,” praise Dalmar on the woman who is now red blushing her face as if to withstand the shame and happiness.

“Know Dalmar, that beautiful is relative. Can be beautiful in your eyes but not in my eyes, and vice versa,” said detective Egan with confidence.

The words of detective Egan were able to damage Rara's mood in an instant. His smile that had been fully developed now changed the corner of his lips that curved down.

“Maybe taste and indeed low detective,” Dalmar is still trying to cheer Rara.

“I never seem to see you Rara, even though we often see this unique table every time we go in and out of the room, Mr. Gilen,”, said detective Keiko trying to stop the two men's ridiculous debate before her.

“Oh, if anada doesn't see me here, maybe because I'm working on my other tuga,” replied Rara.

“Could give us an example of what job you mean it?“ detective Egan asked using an insulting tone that he tried to make subtle.

“Eh…. Eh.. “ Rara seems confused and clumsy to answer questions posed by detective Egan.

“Didn't you guys want to meet Mr Gilen?!“ dalmar tries to save Rara from the uncomfortable question.
