Chapter Twenty Six

Birdella, who has not released the case, is still trying to re-examine the three bodies related to the case being examined and handled by her two detective friends.

For the first time, Birdella pulled three bodies out of the cooling box and placed them on the autopsy table in her room. The operating lamp on Odel's body had Birdella turned on and she took out her combat gear and re-concentrated Odel's body.

Birdella checked every wound in Odel's body. He re-examines Odel's fractured jaw, which Aris discovers and realizes when they first examine Odel's body in Birdella's autopsy room.

Sure enough, the crack of Odel's jaw was clearly caused by a blunt object or a blow to an empty hand. But whatever the tool but certainly the culprit must have energy that is not kidding.

There are also three gaping holes in Odel's body, two holes are the result of a shot whose bullet penetrated out of Odel's body and the bullet lodged in the frame of the painting being faked by Erik, odel's nephew, who just arrived a few months ago from Cuba.

While one more hole is produced from a bullet that entered the body of Odel and lodged in his body. But the bullet was already taken by Aris at that time and Aris has matched with one type of weapon that until now is not known who the owner is and where his whereabouts.

Birdella gets a report from detective Keiko that Odel coughed and bled when detectives Egan and Keiko were interrogating Odel until Odel finally managed to escape.

Because of the report, Birdella also decided to check the organs in Odel to make sure at that time she was just pretending or Odel's condition was severe.

Birdella checked into Odel's lungs and found that Odel was unwell before she was shot and lost her life.

It turned out that there was a bacterial infection in Odel's lungs and it was clear this was a pulmonary abscess and it was likely this that caused Odel to cough up blood during interrogation at the time.

“But how can, someone with a pulmonary abscess like him even be the one selling organs in the human body on the black market!?“ birdella asked herself.

“Don't he do that for his own medical expenses,” chirps Aris who stands in front of the door of Birdella's autopsy room that is wide open.

“Hai Aris, since when are you there?“ asked Birdella who tried to cover her surprise because of the presence of Aris.

“Oh, I just arrived prof,” replied Aris rather clumsy.

“What's up? Anything you need to tell me until you have to come here?“

“This is prof, I just want to ask,” replied Aris.

“What's the problem?“

“It has been almost two days I put a fingerprint that I found in the frame of the painting that Erik was faking in the TKP, but until now the search engine has not given any results,” Aris trying to explain the difficulties he is facing.

Birdella pulled one corner of her lips and frowned while thinking. Moments later Birdella gives a suggestion to Aris.

“Please wait until tomorrow morning, if the search engine does not also provide any results then you can tell me that I ask permission from the leader to open search access from a much wider source.“

“Oh well then prof. I will wait until tomorrow morning,” reply Aris.

Aris turned her back and prepared to leave Birdella's room but a second later Birdella called out to her, causing Aris to stop her steps.

“Where are you going!?“

“Back to my room prof.“

“Of course prof, with pleasure.“

A wide smile was drawn on Aris's face that felt like he had a chance to practice directly at the queen's autopsy at the police building.

Although autopsy is not Aris' favorite field and not the main goal but Ariz is the type of person who likes knowledge and always thirst for new knowledge.

“Looks like you have been preparing since,” Birdella said with a smile.

“How does prof mean?“ asked Aris who was confused and did not understand the meaning of his superior.

“That's lo clothes,” Birdella replied while looking at Aris from top to bottom.

Aris has used the typical seragamaic green clothing to perform an autopsy action even complete with a head covering.

“Oh it. I was checking the evidence. That was a fake painting yesterday. I was afraid that some of my hair would fall and damage the evidence. While this shirt, so that my shirt is not dirty because of the bullet residue that is still in the painting,” at length Aris explained and Birdella just smiled broadly giving a reaction to the description of Aris.

“Is it possible that Odel tried to forge even those famous paintings because it took a fee to get treatment?“ Birdella threw a question to Aris trying to examine the contents of her junior's head.

“Can be prof. But is that as much a cost as he has to spend for a pulmonary abscess?“ Aris asked Birdella a question back.

“If not for the reason of his medical expenses, then why would he fake paintings and also sell organs in the body on the black market?“

“Is it possible that Odel attempted to forge the painting in order to fulfill someone's wish, prof?“

“But who? Is it possible that art gallery leader, Gilen?!“ Birdella follows detective Keiko's path of thought.

“It may happen, but I am concerned that your guess is based on a story recently told by detective Keiko.“

“From the jaw crack experienced by Odel, I thought maybe he got a threat from someone. Whether about what, it could be about falsifying the painting or because of other things such as debt that he cannot pay,”, Aris said giving an analysis.

“Yes maybe because of those things or because of something else,” Birdella replied while throwing a glance at Erik's body next to Odel's suit.
