Detectives Egan and Keiko walk together in uniform steps, towards the autopsy room that became a rut for Birdella after one day not seeing their forensic friend that one. Detective Keiko carried some bread in a bag made of brown paper. While detective Egan brought several glasses of warm coffee in a special carrier made of solid paper.
Before the two detectives open the door to the autopsy room, detective Keiko peeks at her best friend through a window that is mostly covered by curtains. Indeed, the curtain is deliberately used in every autopsy process so that those who are intolerant of autopsy surgery do not need to witness activities that make them feel uncomfortable.
Namu as usual, the suspension in there still makes detectives Keiko and Egan continue to be confused with the habits of his friend that one.
“Where?“ ask detective Egan.
“Ordinary kayak, he is still chatting with the corpse in the room,” Detective Keiko replied.
“So, we are in now or later?“ ask detective Egan to make sure.
“Let him have a few minutes left, ” replied detective Keiko to take her eyes off the autopsy room owned by Birdella.
“Then we go to Aris's room first. We also brought some extra cups of coffee. We can bring it to Aris as well and ask him about the development of his research on the evidence he's working on, too,” the proposal of detective Egan and detective Egan immediately agreed to the proposal of his colleague because they considered that they really need to see Aris.
Then the two of them continued on their way towards Aris's room.
Birdella POV.
“Good morning Miss X, how are you today? I feel so excited today“ Birdella said when she first walked into the autopsy room feeling more energy for the day.
Birdella immediately prepared herself at that moment. He immediately put on his special green outfit and head covering, so that none of his hair would fall onto the victim and mess up the investigation in the end.
After all was ready, Birdella again approached the body, sighing long trying to calm herself.
“So who are you Miss X? Are you really Diatmika, the little friend of my current best friend, Keiko?“
Although she knew full well that the body could not answer her questions directly, Birdella always believed that the body could guide her in other ways.
Birdella went back to inspect the body thoroughly and again asked, “How did you get like this? You don't seem to die in that freezer, do you, uh, lose your life but somewhere else? Yes, it is definitely.“
“Where are they, why aren't they here yet, miss X?“ birdella did the same thing again, asking the body in front of her.
Birdella then took her cell phone at the table near the autopsy table where the body was now lying.
“With detective Keiko here!“
“Lo where now?“ birdella asked as her phone was connected.
“Gue is again in Aris' room with detective Egan,” replied detective Keiko, the person Birdella contacted.
“Why are you even there? Why are you even beating up my room?“ whining Birdella.
“So we have arrived in front of the room lo but like lo again busy really.“
“Lo will know I'm always busy autopsying dead bodies.“
“But earlier you were no longer an autopsy of a corpse but chat with the corpse,” welcome detective Keiko.
Not long after, detectives Keiko and Egan have knocked on the door of Birdella's autopsy room.
“Warm coffee and savory loaf of lo,” detective Keiko said as she lifted the bread she brought for Birdella.
“Did you guys have that coffee and bread with you since?“ ask Birdella.
“Betul. Lo emang great,” replied detective Egan trying to praise.
“Is it a development?“ ask detective Keiko.
“After I did a thorough research on this corpse, I concluded that he did not die where you found him, the cooling room in the store building.“
“Lantas where he lost his life?“ ask detective Egan curious.
“Seeing from the color of the skin that has been brown and wrinkled, also dry and hard and no signs of decay, this corpse should have been in a hot place for more than ten days,” Birdella explained.
“But we actually found it in a cold place,” interrupted detective Keiko.
“Is it possible that this corpse was moved from where he lost his life?!“ detective Egan said.
“Accurate once. In my opinion, seeing from the facts, most likely this corpse did not lose its life where you found it, in the cooler,” said Birdella.
“But what was this corpse for, and by whom was it moved?“ ask detective Keiko.
“Well, this is a job for both of you, my beloved great detectives. Try to solve the mystery of this one,” continued Birdella.
Birdella took off the rubber gloves she had been wearing during the autopsy on the body. Then he took the bread from the brown paper wrapper on his desk, bit it a bit and drank his warm coffee. Her eyes were closed and her lips were smiling, implying the happiness of finding the perfect coffee and bread for her morning.
“How about his identity?“ detective Keiko asked as she sipped her coffee and leaned against the window of the room showing the clear sky today.
“Already in the process of checking by Aris. She didn't say?“ ask Birdella.
“Maybe you know first,” detective Keiko said.
“Gue knows you are still overwhelmed with anxiety but I beg you to be more patient to know the results,” said Birdella.
Detective Keiko lowered her coffee paper cup and lowered her head trying to contain her unrest but it seemed all for naught.
“Either why do I feel that he is Diatmika,” detective Keiko said as she stared at the body on the autopsy table.
Birdella lays down her coffee and bread cups and draws closer to detective Keiko and holds her tightly.
“Do not worry constantly, you need to calm down in order to focus on the case that you and detective Egan are working on.“
Detective Egan put a coffee cup in his hand and walked up to his two best friends and hugged them both.
“Whatever happens, we will continue to look for the whereabouts of the Diatmika, and if it is true that the corpse on the autopsy table is the Diatmika, I promise I'll help you find out who did it and make the culprit pay for what he did to Diatmika,” detective Egan said giving an oath of friendship.
