"Where is the road from? Diligent morning already jogging," asked Dini with a smile on her face that looked pale.
Purbo was silent to the look on Dini's face. I don't know why this morning Dini looked so weak. The hollows in his two eyes look blackened. His cheekbones also stood out.
"Yes, you're a big shoot anyway?" Purbo asked back. He was worried about Early condition.
"The name is also pregnant. The Madam's body was easily tired that was for sure. Therefore you better stay at home to accompany the Madam," said Mak Nah Kalem, but his tone sounded annoying.
"I'll go out of my way to sport Mak. For health as well. Kan I want to be a standby husband, must always be fit dong," replied Purbo sewot.
"Mas, sit here," call Early. He patted the bed next to him.
Purbo approached, and took a seat next to Dini. Mak Nah who had finished washing his master's body was immediately inching backwards and out of the room. Purbo felt Mak Nah was avoiding him.
"Where was the road from?" Repeating the question.
"It's just a road around the village" said Purbo.
"Why, by the way, does Mak Nah seem to avoid me?" purbo asked half a whisper.
"Yes maybe because yesterday you were angry and threatened him, Mas" replied Dini calmly.
"He's telling you?"
"No. I asked him. Mas?" call Dini while gently stroking Purbo's chin.
"Hmm?" Purbo closed his eyes, feeling his wife's frozen soft touch.
"Don't get angry with Mama Nah. He is very valuable to us. Without Mak Nah, we cannot be united," Dini smiled meaningfully.
"Huh? Means Mak Nah who used to match us? How's story?" ask Purbo enthusiastically.
"Yes, um. . .Mak Nah who met me with you Mas. As the sky drizzled, I who had no one else, was introduced to you," replied Dini remembering.
"Germimists? Did you bring a black umbrella?" ask Purbo guess. Remembering the shadow of the black-robed woman who spoke to him.
"umbrella? Black?" Early frown.
"Yes, and you took my promise after work" Purbo said.
"You're Mas's dream," replied Dini quickly.
Purbo looked at Dini in wonder. The shadow of the black-headed woman at that time looked very real. But from the looks of it, Dini really did not understand the purpose of Purbo's speech. If the black-robed woman is not Dini, then who?
Purbo daydreams scatter when Mak Nah goes back into the room. With her head bowed the old woman carried a tray containing one cup of the drink that flashed a thin white smoke on it. Purbo can guess the drink is wedang parem.
"Please drink the master," said Mak Nah thrust a cup with clear brown water in it. The smell of ginger spices wafted in the air.
Purbo did not immediately take wedang parem from Mak Nah.
"Why Sir? Wedang parem is very good to drink in the morning, you know," said Mak Nah once again.
Purbo gulps. He remembered what happened last night. Although the memory of the incident now feels confusing, whether what Purbo sees is really real or just a dream. However, Purbo was already disgusted by the wedang parem brought by Mak Nah.
"Mass? Drinking dong. He said he'd be healthy to be the husband on standby for your wife?" Dini rubbed her big belly. He asked Purbo to immediately drink wedang parem from Mak Nah.
There was no other choice for Purbo. There is no reason to refuse the hot drink scented with ginger spices. Finally he reached for the cup that Mak Nah offered.
Purbo sighed. Slowly he gulped down the parem wedang bit by bit. A warm sensation immediately radiates from the base of the tongue, throat, also inside the chest of Purbo.
Mak Nah and Dini exchanged a glance. They seemed to smile with relief seeing Purbo spending his wedang parem.
"Mrs want porridge for breakfast?" ask Mak Well then.
"By Mak," replied Early in brief.
Mak Nah nodded and immediately cleaned the empty cup of wedang parem. Then he stepped out of the room to return to the kitchen.
"Where is Mas? As soon as your body has drunk wedang parem?" ask Early to Purbo who sat quietly next to him.
"Ah, my stomach feels comfortable," Purbo rubbed his own stomach.
Mak Nah came back with a bowl of green bean porridge for Dini. The old woman this time seemed to be smiling kindly at Purbo. Though when he saw Purbo coming home after the road earlier, Mak Nah felt ketus and indifferent.
"I want to take a shower first yes, my body smells out of the way," said Purbo moved from his seat.
When Purbo stood up, suddenly his head felt dizzy. The world seems to be spinning. The simple sound of speech enters the sense of hearing. It was as if there were some people talking around him.
Purbo gave a glance. Everything changes in Purbo's eyes. Mak Nah's hair looks white, long decomposed to touch the floor. With horrifying glaring eyes, the old woman stood looking at Purbo. While Dini disappeared, there was nowhere.
Purbo felt his body tremble, his footrest wobbly. He was about to call his wife's name when suddenly a woman was seen sitting in front of the dressing table, combing her long, jet-black hair.
Purbo collapsed on his stomach on the floor of the room. His eyes were still on the woman in front of the dresser. There was no visible face of the woman. Even the reflection in the mirror looks blurry. Until finally the sound of loud neighing laughter, making Purbo's eyes closed. Now there's only darkness, Purbo's unconscious.
Meanwhile, in a room with clean white painted walls an old woman was knitting a thread of wool. Her wrinkled hands were very deftly forming a beautiful blue colored scarf. Sometimes the woman fixed the glasses on her nose.
The scarf had finished, the old woman smiled at a glance. However, his eyes looked sad. He kissed the scarf along with the fall of the tear grains that soaked the cheeks. Her small shoulders shook in a light shake as she sobbed.
"It should be your happy day today" she murmured.
Tok tok tok tok
I heard the door knocking. A young woman dressed in all white entered the room.
"Bu Sudarsih, you also need to rest" said the woman dressed in white.
The old woman called Sudarsih wiped the tears on her cheeks, then turned her head and smiled.
"I don't pa pa kok bu doctor," said Sudarsih Lirih.
In front of Sudarsih there is a bed. A person with both feet wrapped in bandages was lying on top of him.
"Prieve that she wake up soon, ma'am. Because the mother's prayer is the best for her at this time," said the woman in white clothes while issuing a stethoscope.
