The Part 21
There Ernest found his heart half lying on the bed. And what surprised her was the nightgown she was wearing. Why didn't Adela wring it? Make it always beautiful so that his heart does not grieve, especially to feel disturbed because of his body. Even though the pale color still has not subsided on its face. Ernest's worries grew. "Are you okay?" tanyanya sat on the edge of the bed facing Eien where a soft smile came to greet her.
It could be said that the anger that had flooded his mind was no longer inundated, receding slowly with this narrow time. Everything changed because the blood had lodged in his body in an extraordinary way. What other wrath should he keep? It was all for nothing. Until now, his life is still trapped in life. Just follow this game, that was the whisper of his heart that was waiting for the gap. "It's better" he replied lowly.
If that was the case, Ernest was pleased. Because he was the cause of the princess's suffering. His thin smile was engraved bitterly. "I'm glad to hear it."
"really?"
"Sure, Your Majesty. Why do I want you miserable and moping? While your happy laugh when you see the morning sun is much more beautiful." His voice grew smaller and full of regret until the end of the sentence.
Another puzzle for Eien. That helpless pronunciation sliced through his heart. This man was injured, and had definitely suffered from performing black magic as well as being a fugitive of the kingdom. "Looks like you really know me, Hornest. But the truth is still you keep, I don't know what you're considering. I hope it's not hidden too long." The two pairs of beautiful eyes were clashing against each other, as if scanning the feeling that was peering from each of their hearts.
"Do you, Princess? Time is the most mysterious thing in the world. Just step forward and make a sound, tik-tik-tik. Just like that, but his small steps lead us into the future with all the answers slowly coming. Doesn't time have too much power?"
Eien chuckled, this conversation comforting him a little. "You're right. Time is very strange, we can rewind the clock, but somehow time does not follow it. Isn't that unfair? Everything that was lost in the past is no longer possible. Time doesn't give me a chance anymore."
"But the opportunity to improve is always there in the running time."
"And you're right again. I hope time does not stop when the intention to improve things has come. It's just that right now time is testing my patience because you're the biggest mystery to me."
This time Ernest who chuckled a little got the subtle allusions. "In that case, what if I subtract this mystery a little?" his question which was greeted with a face asked Eien. "As I planned, there will be a banquet in this castle in order to introduce to all the nobles of London."
Iris Eien widens in disbelief. "really? But why, Hornest?" Although actually he was happy it was just that this was a bit strange.
"You like humans, don't you?"
Eien was unable to hold back his little laugh any longer, something that turned out to make him feel comfortable being close to her. To be honest he liked this familiar situation, as if the distance of time they had just discussed had suddenly disappeared. How magical. "of course. Even I really like Adela," he exclaimed, unrelentingly showing joy.
His sparkling blue irises provoked Ernest's smile of relief.
"I-I like Miss too" said Adela who suddenly appeared carrying a glass of blood on the tray. His steps stopped in front of the bed, somewhat hesitating because his master was chatting with his nonanya. This is something that rarely happens.
Inevitably Eien's cheerfulness suddenly dimmed as soon as he saw the glass again, but he still tried to smile at his servant. "Close," greeted him.
"Good, Miss." Slowly Adela approached the side of the bed where Ernest was sitting. "Master?" There is a real doubt implied from the radiance of the eyes of his employer who had been glued. Even Adela too clearly saw the tremors when Ernest's hand raised the glass. He also had time to pay attention to his non-action which this time was much calmer and did not protest as usual.
"You need this for supper night" whispered Ernest softly.
The glass that shook in Ernest's grasp made Eien realize how much his life depended on cursed blood. "It looks like I have no other choice" he hissed as he greeted the glass.
Tension creeps in the room like a tree root covering the airway. That tightness slowly came to Ernest's mind. His jawline tightened as anxiety began to eat away at his defenses. Her eyes did not blink when the glass reached the edge of her lover's lips. A lover? Suddenly his chest hurt as if his heart had suddenly stopped beating. How could he forget when guilt hit like a ferocious wave on the edge of the abyss like on the night of a terrible ritual last time, slapping him to realize who the woman he forced to drink this dirty blood. You're mylover.
This is the great thing about time, it is always appropriate to toss the feeling when the answer is broken in the chaff of time. All you have to do is remember or move forward. You just need to be observant so that the sin does not continue to smear you. And the stained liquid almost touched the tip of his lover's lips if Ernest's hand was a little late preventing it, gently lowering it then taking it away without any hesitation remaining.
"Hornest?" Both of Eien's brows were confused, his countenance clearly seen asking as Ernest stuck out the glass
back to Adela who was a bit surprised.
There had to be an explanation, so Ernest was downcast in frustration. "Dispose."
Adela quickly welcomes the awkward source of the problem, not understanding why suddenly her employer changes her mind. "Sorry, Mister?" He wanted to make sure of his hearing once again.
"Youngdao. Throw away all that dirty blood. Tell William to dump all his supplies!" His voice sounded stifled, his shoulders trembled as he bowed, even he hid his face within both palms. He knew his fingers would not be able to cover all his shame, just that it might be enough to realize how miserable he was. I can't. There's no way I'll let the blood stain the noble princess's soul. What have I done?! I'm too dark in the eyes! How could I let that happen? Fouled my own lover's soul. Tuhaaaan, I'm so damned!
In a panic Adela moved from where she stood to deliver the message to William. However, his steps stopped behind the bathroom wall, silent for a moment there as if he wanted to listen to what really happened. His behavior is indeed very insolent, but his curiosity can no longer be unstoppable. Yesterday the nona was forced in such a way as to swallow this blood, and now it has to be thrown away? It's freaky. What exactly is going on?
Watching the back of the man laden with heavy weights, how could Eien's heart be untouched. Honestly, he knows what is going on here. "Adela told me about an event that happened in the city today" she whispered softly.
To the astonishment of Ernest straightened his face and turned to Eien, looking at him with a feeling of shame and guilt that had already been drawn. "Sorry. Ii'm sorry. I really didn't know it," his soft voice trembled.
This was what Eien did not understand. "Why do you keep apologizing, Hornest? Honestly, as someone who takes on the role of a criminal, you do not recognize him. The inconsistency of color alternating is clearly misleading me." Yes, black and white came erratically in Eien's eyes. How could he define this man so well. This man's heart was so beautiful that there was only kindness residing in it, Eien's special eyes could not be fooled. But why is it that the heart is born of evil deeds? Therefore he sighed sadly, because perhaps he was the form of reason that forced him to do this damned thing. His fingers rose to grab Ernest's cheek, then gently rubbed it. "You're a good man, Hornest. Please stop living life like this. I just found you wallowing in misery because of all this."
Ernest's chest became claustrophobic at the subtle-sentence that teased his conviction. Is the choice of life still his right? No, the cursed path he took had only one purpose. Yes, the road that might drag him to the deepest trough of hell will still be passed by him to maintain the soul of his lover to the end. "If you ask, then there is only a simple answer.”
“What is it?”
“I can accept your hatred. But I can't stand it when I've been erased in your life. That's more painful.” Slowly a puddle of tears began to form in his eye sinks. I have to save you.
The sentence struck out so deeply in Eien's mind, and it felt incredibly stifling. Is this a mind game? Acting to convince him? Honestly, Eien hesitated to step up because this man's memories did not exist in the universe of his soul. His breathing would have been almost cut off had it not been for the rest of his sustained sanity, he might have gotten out of control again. "It seems .. I've forgotten something very important. Right, right?" ask her with a tone of restraint.
The beautiful black iris was already unable to cover the sadness, her lips quivering like they were holding thousands of words of foam. If that ability could be achieved, Ernest would happily whisper all the things that had happened between them. If necessary he would shout it as loud as possible on this hill, no matter how stupid all creatures would laugh at his behavior. But his throat was blocked so that not a single word was imprinted in the air. As hard as he could, he tried to control his emotions, suppressing all the wounds that hit the chest.
The tears that almost fell were enough to make Eien leave the back of the pillow. Gently pulled Ernest's body to enter in a light embrace. Is that how he sees his helplessness? "Control your mind, Hornest," he whispered sadly.
Ernest did not refuse, even leaving his face in the curve of his lover's neck. "Princess."
"But crying is forbidden. Tears are too dangerous for you, but not for me because I'm in a human body" she whispered. "Strengthen yourself."
Right, he shouldn't lose control and get caught up in the weakness of the heart. Slowly inhale as deeply as possible until the turbulence of frustration subsides. "You make it sound unfair. But you are right." Eien rubbed gently on the man's back, reminding him to calm down. "Give me strength, Eien. Give me the strength to live through all this. I don't want my faith to leave me."
A request made Eien sad. "Confidence." His eyes closed for a moment. "How could you ask him if all I can see from you is suffering. Shouldn't you let me go?"
Released from the arms of the girl to show her disapproval in the radiance of her eyes. "Would you like to add a question to my mind, Princess?”
“Question?”
“Yes. Will I be able to survive when you are not around?” The lips were frowning withstanding the vibrations.
“But, Hornest-“
“Please don't ask me to prove that question. Forcing to imagine it just feels like enough for me to throw this world away.”
“Horneeest,” his dumbstruck hiss. The stinging vibrations splashed within Eien's blue crystal as his chest thumped violently erratically. There was a pain in the corner of his mind, a feeling he could not translate in any language. Feelings that result in him being thrown into the past that he cannot remember what his panorama record looks like. But he was sure that this man must have been in those lost memories. "Hornest, I'm sorry." His voice sounded soft.
Meanwhile, Adela's countenance dangled sadly there. Slow to understand the content of the conversation so deep because there is still a lot of hollow information. It was just that he did not know why his master was forbidden to cry? For him, everyone has the right to shed tears, whether it is based on happiness or sadness, especially when experiencing the most severe torment in his life. He knew that tears would not hurt anyone. Then on the other hand, what exactly has been forgotten by the nonanya? And what had happened to that beautiful woman's body? Shaken his head for a moment to eliminate all prejudices that raged in the chest, then he decided to start taking steps to leave this room with all the questions that could not be answered alone.
