Bloody Rossie: Tears Of Vampires

Bloody Rossie: Tears Of Vampires
20. Murder Victim

The Part 20

The sky had blackened, and life as usual returned into the castle. William was in the kitchen, preparing two cups of roselle tea with Adela. The sweet aroma carried by the hot steam gave a disguised calm. Of course Adela fell in love with the fragrant, it's just that the red color of this tea is a little disturbing because the glasses of blood that continue to fulfill her nightmare. "Take this cup to Miss Selia's room, and meet the master in her room" William ordered, who put one cup on the tray, the rest will be delivered to her master.

"Well," he answered who knew what his employer wanted to see him for. After finishing the task he immediately headed for Ernest's room. And William was there, in the room as dim as ever. They seemed to be waiting for his arrival, and to be honest, it made him somewhat nervous. "Master?"

"Have you sent it?" asked Ernest from his chair.

"Here you go, sir."

"Thank you." A thin curve that implied their satisfaction on Ernest's face. The letter is very important and hopefully quickly gets to the intended hand. He also took the household financial files on the table.

Well, his master's rare smile managed to redden the servant girl's face. For him there was nothing happier than to see the bright hue of his master. "That's an easy task, sir," he replied humbly.

"You did well. Without your help, the letter could not have flown by itself. I hope the delivery service doesn't have any problems with state relations with Spain." Ernest opened the file because William asked him to check it.

The praise managed to make Adela blush in embarrassment. "I think the delivery service will be fine. However, only this city has not improved."

Next to Ernest's eyebrows raised without switching from the contents of the row of numbers. "This town is sick?"

"Yes, Sir. The city is like falling into terror. A terrible event has happened last night."

"Events?"

The anxiety on the girl's face seemed to indicate that the sun would not rise tomorrow. "Yes, Sir. There has been a murder in the city. The victim was a woman. His body was found on the riverbank. According to eyewitnesses, his body dumped into the River Thames was stuck. And again, the woman was killed in a way that – was amazingly sad," he explained in a dramatic tone at the end of the sentence.

Inevitably the red lip line there was horizontal, the black iris was fixed directly on the waiter leaving the contents of the file earlier. "Why?"

A question that caused discomfort, because Adela was reminded of her adventure this afternoon in the castle backyard. Somewhat awkwardly rubbed his arm to reduce nervousness. "Yes, Sir. The woman ... died because of her drained blood."

For a moment the room became silent, the wind gusts from the open window shook the candle flames on the table. This room does not feel warm, but cold that seems strange, like when you enter a haunted house, the cold was able to crush the fur of Rome. Especially when William looked at Adela so intensely.

The file was also eliminated because the news brought by the servant was interesting to listen to. Ernest tilted his face then asked, "Really?"

It was hard to swallow his saliva because the two men were looking at him this closely. "Y-yes. Although the security officers have not given a definitive statement in the newspaper, but I saw the body myself ... its condition is terrible." Her flat-looking employer's manner of muttering unsettled Adela. Frankly, the reaction made her feel strange. Continue the sentence slowly. "I hope the killer gets caught soon. Very prone to walking in the city alone if the killer is still on the loose. Frankly, I .. worry about my family in the capital."

The words sounded soft and could lighten the burden in Adela's heart, but the strange feeling grew. "Thank you, sir."

Don't say Ernest didn't observe Adela's clumsy demeanor, her increased heart rate and her wide-open eyes signified judgment. Ernest knew the seed of suspicion was starting to grow in his mind. This was why he had hesitated to accept Adela to be his worker, this girl was too smart. If Ernest's prediction was correct, sooner or later the secrets of this castle would be exposed by him. But for now he wanted to put down the flames that were playing out in the little girl's mind. Maybe showing a little empathy will make him look like a human being. "What a pity the fate of that woman."

Adela was somewhat jolted at the sudden sympathy, but she quickly shook her head signifying disapproval. "I don't think you need to sympathize with such a woman."

"Women like that?" repeat Ernest in a questioning tone.

"Right, Sir. The woman does not deserve sympathy after hurting many wives and unsettling morals for children. It may be karma for a sinful woman like her, but I condemn how the killer killed her." A thin, slightly covered crease of hair formed faintly on her employer's forehead, but Adela was able to pick up on the gesture of asking why she could say judgmental like that. Then he continued his sentence. "She was a prostitute."

Ernest and William's eyes clashed against each other for a moment, there was a certain signal that flashed at a glance. But Ernest chose to withdraw from the discussion of the victim. "Alright if that's your opinion." He who did not want to comment on the morality and status of the victim decided to change the topic. "Oh, yeah. It's important to know, Adela. This weekend, I will hold a large banquet where the nobles will be present to enjoy dinner in this castle. And the noble queen will come to visit even though I think it is less likely that she is present due to the busyness of the state."

"Oh, that's good news, sir!" greet Adela who looks happy and enthusiastic. This was what he liked about a castle, the socialite event of influential nobles. There will be many delicious dishes, beautiful clothes that bloom and luxury, whispers and small laughter from the ladies behind their fans and dance accompanied by classical music. That's very romantic. Although he will only be an observer outside the circle, he will still rejoice, especially for the nonanya later.

"really. Therefore, I want Selia to be in good health for the banquet of our family's introduction to the entire nobility of this city. So prepare the drink, because yesterday he only drank a little."

Adela's face flushed red considering how the nonaanya could swallow the blood. "Ba-good, Sir. Immediately I prepare."

For a moment Ernest became silent and it was long enough, as if immersed in a thought. William cleared his throat because Adela was still waiting for her employer to speak or at least allowed her to leave. "Ehem, Sir?"

The dark iris closed for a moment like it had taken a heavy decision. "No, Adela. I'll make sure Selia drinks it myself. I'll be in her room soon." His tone shook and a condition of doubt.

Adela gasps. "Well, sir," he replied, who saw Ernest open the desk drawer and give him a bag of money.

"Use to buy a dress you think is appropriate for the banquet. I want you to accompany Selia in decent clothes. No one can demean a servant who works for me."

After nodding understood taken the bag of money lying on the table. He knew that his master wanted him to always be on his side. "Thank you, Mister. Then excuse me."

As soon as Adela felt that she had moved away from the corridor, William approached Ernest. "How is this, sir?" tanyanya fidgeting.

Ernest took a deep breath as he stood up from his seat. "I really didn't know about it. .. That's the only woman I could meet last night. Do we have another choice?" Unwanted worries returned home. Since when did her heart become a home for such feelings? Ah, he better get to his prisoner's room.
