Alvin he had closed the prayer with the recitation of Surah AlFatihah he also sowed flowers and also water that they deliberately brought.
Kayla herself sowed flowers at the funeral of her mother-in-law. There was a sense of tightness that she felt that did not end until she felt a touch on the top of her head from her husband's hand.
Kayla looked up as she leaned her head against the chest of the husband's field. Now only Alvin is always at his side and always understands his feelings.
''We go home.'' Alvin Sahut.
Kayla shook her head she looked back at the face of her husband who was now smiling at her.
''I want to visit my mom, can I?'' pinta Kayla on Alvin.
''Certain.'' Alvin answered with a smile.
They finally walked back to the car.
Alvin knew Kayla's own grief was so grateful that Kayla was so patient in facing this test.
How not, accepting a mother who clearly he never imagined at all in his life must be very heavy especially in the condition of his mother who is experiencing mental disorders. It wasn't all that easy for him.
Alvin glanced at Kayla. He saw his wife was silent with an empty mind. ''Would you like to buy something for mom?'' alvin asked trying to eliminate the sadness of the wife.
Kayla looked back at Alvin but still with the same look. ''No mas, I don't think it's necessary that mom always reject what I bring I feel....''
''It's okay that everything will have its time, we just need to be patient.'' Alvin grabs Kayla's hand he knows very well that Kayla feels very sad for her mother's treatment.
If only his mother had not experienced mental disorders, Kayla herself would never have been taken by the mother-in-law but all had happened and all that was the will of God Alvin just need to build trust to Kayla if one day she believes her mother-in-law will recover even though she herself does not know when that time will come.
The ringing of the cell phone is now heard on the sidelines of the silence of the two men so Alvin would not want to stop his car to the side of the road.
''Assalamualaikum mommy?''
There was the voice of the mother who is now the focus of Alvin.
''He'll be there Alvin. ya Waalaikum salam.'' Close Alvin again closes the call from his mama.
''What is mas?'' kayla asked a little curiously. She was sure that her mother-in-law had talked about something very important.
''No, it's just a matter of course.'' Reply Alvin reasoned.
He did not want what he said to be a burden on his wife.
Alvin smiled and drove back in his car, took a deep breath and began to focus back on the road again.
It only took thirty minutes now that they had arrived in front of the hospital where Kayla's mother was.
Kayla gets out of the car. He tries to keep his hopes relaxed if one day his mother will recover and go home with him. Only her mother is the hope Kayla at this time she wants to live with her mother and her husband. Thinking about it made Kayla again feel claustrophobic want she to go and run away shouting all the burdens that had wanted to explode since her meeting with her mother.
''Darling?'' Alvin called Kayla.
He grabbed the wife's hand and smiled slightly at her.
''We'll get through all this together I'm sure you can.'' Sahut Alvin eagerly tried to eliminate the sadness of the wife.
Kayla nodded and tried to smile even though clearly her heart was sad even the smile she displayed made Alvin feel the sadness.
Alvin and Kayla walk into the hospital. They immediately turned to the room where her mother was being treated.
Kayla took a deep breath for the last time she pushed the door with a feeling she could hardly understand.
''Assalamualaikum ma'am, '' said Kayla who stepped into the mother's room.
His mother was with a man he knew very well. Malik smiled at the husband and wife and answered the greetings from the woman who still made him complacent.
''Waalaikum salam kay, vin.''
Alvin again noticed Malik's unusual gaze. He knew clearly what kind of gaze Malik was pointing at.
Malik smiled in a knot he also knew Alvin's attitude which seemed uncomfortable if his wife was greeted by him.
Malik walked over to Alvin, patting him on the shoulder and letting Kayla walk over to her mother.
''Mom, ''' Kayla quietly.
Aira who was cool playing her doll like a child she was looking back at Kayla who was staring at her.
''You.'' Aira spoke with her arms raised to Kayla.
At that moment Kayla did not flinch she was afraid that her mother would throw her out again especially she knew if her mother always rampaged if her presence seemed to disturb her.
Aira woke up from her sitting she hugged tightly the doll as if she was afraid if Kayla would take her.
''You,'' point Aira at Kayla.
Alvin quickly grabbed Kayla, afraid that her mother-in-law would hurt Kayla again.
''This mother is Kayla.'' Kayla with a tremble.
Since his meeting with Kayla's mother never once spoke much she never even said anything about him because her mother always drove Kayla straight away as if Kayla was the one who would take her child.
''You're good, you take care of my son look he's healed.'' Aira laughed and cried again.
''You're good, '' Aira said again by playing her doll again and now she looked at Kayla.
Kayla can't say anything really she doesn't know what she's feeling but just tears that keep letting out the clear liquid she's a little relieved because her mother doesn't throw herself out anymore.
...
''Alhamdulillah Aira's mother began to show the development of at least Aira's mother was not afraid anymore if anyone visited her, earlier I have given medicine and also a special approach hopefully Aira's mother can recover soon.'' Take Malik seriously.
Kayla could only give thanks for what she heard.
''Can my mother recover?'' kayla asked Malik expectantly.
Malik took a deep breath. '' Actually it can certainly happen just because Aira's mother had a mental disorder long enough maybe we need a lot of time. I wonder what is the cause of Aira's mother experiencing mental disorders if I know more details it is likely that Aira's mother will soon recover even though I myself do not confirm when it is.'' Malik again.
''I knew that Aira's mother was mentally disturbed because she found her husband dead when she gave birth to Kayla and about everything else I don't know.'' Alvin answered Malik's question.
Malik nodded in understanding he now knew the reason Aira's mother had a soul shake.
''Then how could Kayla have been raised by her parents all this time?'' ask Malik again.
''Mamah took me from her mother and in fact did not take it for granted mamah had seen if the mother had been stressed heavily and because the father himself gave the mandate before he died so that the father took care of the mother and also the child will be born maybe it's all for that reason and mamah and father do not take it for granted.''
''This is all quite complicated, we just need to be patient and pray that Aira's mother will be healed soon.'' Malik looked at Alvin and Kayla alternately.
The two of them return to the outdoors after Malik proposes advice to Kayla as well as Alvin. He realized it was not that easy to heal a person's mental but he was very grateful because his mother was now able to accept him.
Receiving Kayla next to her mother, Kayla was so grateful that she never imagined it would happen.
Kayla went back into the room of the mother she saw her mother was taking medicine with a nurse helping her.
''Mom, Kayla comes home first yes, Kayla's healing mother will come back again sometime.'' Kayla told her mother.
Aira just smiled she rubbed the doll back and gave it to Kayla.
''She's beautiful, right?'' ask Aira to Kayla.
Kayla just smiled faintly in response to the mother's words.
''Come,'' invite Alvin to reach Kayla's hand. Kayla nodded at Alvin who had grabbed his hand and followed the footsteps of her husband who had invited her to go home.
