Chapter 29: The Discovery

To prove her thoughts, Lan tried to move her body but the severe pain from the wounds and fractured bones made her grimace in pain, in the end she gave up and decided to stay lying down

Meanwhile Olivia who had just taken the drinking water went beside Lan and helped her to eat and drink. Lan was embarrassed to be treated like a child because she was older than Olivia, but given her condition she could only accept all of Olivia's kindness without much complaining.

After eating food Lan lay down and closed her eyes, Sovia who saw Lan close her eyes thought that Lan might still be exhausted and her body was also severely injured, so he only hoped that the magic medicine obtained earlier could help Lan recover from the injury quickly.

Meanwhile Lan who closed her eyes did not intend to sleep at all, earlier when she was fighting the monster king she sensed that her weak body was suddenly filled with strength. Whether this is the ability or not Lan wants to find her own taunya because however from what Lan knows through Olivia's Guide ability and Hyunsuk's Exploratory ability, both use mental strength for each use.

However as Lan sensed her body being filled with strength earlier, she did not feel her soul weakening at all, instead it was like there was a surge of incoming energy from outside rushing into her body and flooding herself with power.

Is this a different kind of ability? or is this something else? so Lan tried to find out. Lan tried to recall how she felt before, and tried to think about activating the ability just like Hyunsuk and Olivia did.

But nothing happened to him, so he tried another approach. Lan tried to think scene after scene as her weak self was suddenly filled with strength.

In the first scene, when he was ambushed by a monster king, Lan felt his powerful body turn the monster king down with a powerful force to block the fall impact. Because it is also his life managed to survive however there is no human who will not have a severe accident when falling at that height especially under the condition of a tired body.

The second scene occurred before he was unconscious, where somehow his body was very excited but because his mind was very tired in the end Lan was unconscious first.

It was very difficult to guess the second time because he was instantly unconscious, so he tried to recall every detail of the first scene when he fell.

How the initial sensations, feelings, thoughts, and body were at that time. At that moment his mind was forced into a life-and-death situation in search of any means of survival, and because of that his heart beat harder and spurred all the adrenaline throughout the body.

However what he was puzzling over if it was just adrenaline how could Lan's strength suddenly rise to explosive? Did he open the hidden fuse in his brain? or is he breathing too much oxygen?

After all, humans need oxygen to pump all the blood and give each cell the energy to move.

At that moment Lan suddenly regained her senses, right the flow she felt earlier was like something coming from outside. Does this mean the world has rich oxygen yet is more stimulating than the one on earth? or does this world have invisible energy that has the same characteristics as oxygen?

' Well better try than not at all '

To prove his thoughts, Lan immediately calmed herself down in preparation for the testing. There are several ways to feel the energy center in the body, one of which Lan knows is chakra meditation which requires calmness.

When a person focuses on the chakras, they can feel the vibrations and energy flowing through their body. It can give a person a sense of balance, calmness, and connectedness with the greater energy around them.

Although Lan's state might not be at her best at the moment, Lan who closed her eyes began to breathe in a relaxed pattern. His consciousness kept trying to sense everything that was going on inside his body, he could feel his heartbeat beating, all the injured parts of his body, and also every breath flowing.

It took a lot of effort to reach that state, but this was not the first time Lan had done this kind of meditation. Therefore he was able to reach the Trance state quickly.

After he reached consciousness on his entire body, Lan immediately tried to sense the air around. Through peace of mind he can feel the entire flow of energy that is around such as vibration, airflow, aroma and even temperature.

Not exaggerating but if someone really focuses on the circumstances around there will be more aspects that can be felt than just the above.

As Lan tried to focus on the airflow around, little by little she somehow felt the airflow around her seem to be getting heavier and denser.

And at this level of density, it even made it difficult for Lan to breathe which in the end disperse Lan's concentration from Trance's state.

Lan opened her eyes and inhaled a deep breath. He was thinking what it was before, why did the air suddenly become so heavy? Is this the natural energy that monks once referred to? But natural energy is not like this.

So is this perhaps the energy that exists in this world? Just what kind of energy is this? The previous heavy energy flowed densely in the air, and it was really heavy even Lan herself felt tight while inside.

Just why was it that when he was in his usual state not feeling or being affected by the energy? And was this energy that increased his strength explosively earlier?

Thinking back on this world was indeed truly mysterious and had many different things from earth. Starting from the floor, entities, and even now energy, Lan even thought it possible that the laws of physics in this world were different from those on earth, considering he could still stand on the ground normally it seemed like this place was still applying the same laws.

But he couldn't be sure if the other floors had the same rules as well? and unconsciously Lan's mind had also been implanted that there were still many Floors that might have to be passed before getting a way out.

Well since he had already reached this place however he just had to keep walking and overcome all the obstacles that were on each floor. And for that there is a need to become stronger, in a world like this the weak will die quickly

Thinking it was possible that the energy present in this world could help him become stronger, Lan closed her eyes again trying to find further characteristics about the previous energy.
