Chapter 57's

Alita loosened the blow that had been pointing towards Rafa's body. His sobs were still heard, though not as loud as before. Rafa was also still in his initial position, standing still letting Alita hit him with all her might.

"Why don't you defend yourself, Fa!" alita said softly, looking up at Rafa while gripping the shirt the man was wearing.

Rafa who had lowered his head with watery eyes was still loyal to his composure. It was better that he just shut up, he didn't want to get hurt more.

"From the beginning I was hoping you'd say it was an old video, when you and Jihan were still dating. This is not the answer I want to hear, Fa!" Alita blaring. It was as if the energy he had expended from earlier was not enough to vent all his emotions.

"Sorry." Rafa grabbed both hands of Alita who was still gripping her shirt, then grasped them tightly. "Please excuse me. You may punish me and hit me as you please, but please don't leave me."

"Why? Don't you want to turn your sexy ex around?" alita said sarcastically.

Rafa shook his head. "No, honey. Not at all. I did make a mistake with him, but that doesn't mean I want to turn him back on. I just want you, Lit."

"How am I supposed to be? How can I forget this mistake of yours? How am I supposed to forgive you and act like normal again?"

There was no answer coming out of Rafa's lips. The man looked only at Alita, with a face pleading for all the good that Alita had.

"It won't be easy, Fa."

"I know. But please give me a chance to make amends for all my mistakes to you, Lit. I promise this time I won't abuse you."

It was Alita's turn to be silent. Alita looked at her hands that were still tightly held by Rafa.

Dilemmas. That's the feeling that's now engulfing Alita. He had been let down by Rafa, but his love for that man was also so great. Alita does not want to lose Rafa, but she also does not want her heart to get hurt again.

"In the future maybe our relationship won't be easy, Fa. I will always bring up your mistakes over and over again. I also can't promise that our relationship will be as good as yesterday, so try."

After listening word by word spoken by Alita, Rafa no longer has the power to immediately pull Alita in his arms. Hugging her tightly, conveying her gratitude to Alita, as well as her longing.

"Please, baby." said Rafa by showering kisses to the top of Alita's head.

Rafa did not care what trials awaited him in front, he did not care. For he has promised to fight for his Alita.

A place to eat near the bridge became Alita's choice to recharge her energy. After venting all his frustration to Rafa, Alita felt tired and hungry. Moreover, in recent days his appetite has drastically reduced.

"Let me peel the hides of the shrimp" said Rafa while taking over a plate of grilled shrimp in front of Alita.

Alita just nodded, then looked at Rafa who painstakingly peeled the shrimp skin with a spoon and fork in her hand.

Rafa has not changed. He always peeled the shrimp skin for Alita when both chose seafood as their food choices. Although Alita feels Rafa is a lot of silence now, but Alita knows it is because of Rafa's guilt to her.

"You...when did you start your internship at the office again?" Alita tried to melt that super awkward atmosphere.

"Hmm.. tomorrow maybe. I have no business going to college anymore." Rafa replied without taking his eyes off the last shrimp he had stripped.

"You going to college?" tanyanya while holding out a plate with grilled shrimp that has been released from the skin.

"No."

Silence shrouded again, the two were busy enjoying the food they ordered. Until Rafa finally paid for their food at the cashier, the interaction between the two was still very minimal.

Alita walks first to the car park, followed by Rafa who runs small to catch up with Alita.

"You going somewhere?" asked Rafa while putting up his seatbelt.

"No. We'll just go home."

Rafa nodded, then drove his car across the road to Alita's house. This time the atmosphere wasn't as good as it was. The two have had a long conversation despite only discussing the final task they will soon undergo.

"I went straight home. I had to stop by Hanna's house to get Widya's aunt's seat for mama. You can ask Hanna if you don't believe." Rafa says it carefully, not wanting to offend Alita and coming back to lash out at her.

"I believe." Alita smiles, which inexplicably makes Rafa feel even more grateful to have a lover like Alita. How foolish he was yesterday to easily fall into the temptation of Jihan.

"Can I call you 'honey' again?"

Alita smiled again, accompanied by a nod of her head. Although he was surprised when Rafa hugged him, but now Alita returned the embrace was just as tight.

"Thank you for the opportunity, I promise I'll do my best to make you smile every single day."
