One of Darren's informants briefly reported Nirwana's departure schedule and plans over the phone. The leader of Romania's third-largest vampire clan only listened and then ended the call without speaking.
Darren looked back at the monitor screen and repeated the recording of Nirvana while in his room.
"Who exactly is this girl? The power that protected him was very mysterious. I've never found it."
Darren continued to repeat and repeat, his eyes fixed on the necklace held tightly by Nirwana. "Hhm, this girl's like …,"
"Master, the others are waiting. We're leaving right away." Abraham's voice stopped Darren's curiosity.
Without waiting for long, he and the group hurried away following the Nirwana team into the cursed forest. The two groups came almost simultaneously only Darren and his followers chose to enter from the other side in order to keep an eye on Nirwana and his team.
Darren gets information periodically from his spies. He was at a distance not too far from Nirvana, watching him and hiding among the trees and shrubs.
"True to guess, this girl is special. I could feel an unusual energy seeping out of him."
Darren with his strength was able to make his body disappear, he approached Nirvana who was beginning to feel his presence. Darren deliberately stood in front of Nirwana, he noticed the face of the girl with glasses perched on her nose.
"She is beautiful."
The vampire leader admires the natural beauty of Nirvana, the fusion of Asian and European faces. The skin is not very white, the nose is pointed with brownish hair and the iris of the eyes is black.
For centuries no woman has been able to fascinate him, but this time, Darren is intrigued by the courage and intelligence of the young archaeologist standing in front of him. Darren's eyes returned to the yellowish-green pendant necklace around Nirvana's neck.
"That jar," he muttered as he continued to follow Nirvana and walk parallel to her. Studying the energy seeping into that unique pendant.
"That's no ordinary necklace, who are you really?"
Nirvana does not understand if there are invisible entities around it. It was just that he did not have the ability to see the invisible life around him. The energy clashing between hers and Darren made Nirvana's body uncomfortable, occasionally touching her nape and clucking in annoyance.
"Always this way if there is a haunted place." he muttered softly and looked back at the tree that seemed to sway unnaturally.
As Darren looked up, he saw some of his men lurking and jumping from one tree to another.
"He's smart, he knows something's wrong up there. Huh, too bad you can't see anything." Darren smiled obliquely, looking at Nirwana for a moment before finally leaving and disappearing again.
...----------------...
The soil is expanding and moving rapidly across the earth. The shocked Nirvana could not balance his body while standing too close to the open ground all of a sudden. Nicole and the other assistants panic, they save themselves, forgetting Nirwana resigned to his life.
"Ooh, nooooo!"
Nirvana's body fell into a large enough crack in the ground, he resigned and prepared to accept the fate of life that took his life at a young age.
'At least I died in search duty, died honorably.'
Nirwana closed her eyes, but what she felt the next second was a powerful jolt that grabbed her body fast. Nirvana was like flying at high speed, his heart was pounding, his blood flow was up and down uncharacteristically making his body respond with horror.
'I'm dead, I must be heading towards death!' he cried out in his heart, his eyes getting closed, horrified to imagine what had happened.
The rumbling sound slowly disappeared leaving behind the flying dust. Nirwana opened her eyes slowly, she squinted her eyes looking around anxiously.
"Did I die?"
"Dead? I don't think so miss!" the male voice right in Nirwana's ears made him shocked.
"Who are you?" the two stared at each other in amazement.
Nirwana bak dreamed of meeting a pale-faced handsome man who was hugging him. The blue eyes of the sea were staring at the gentle Nirvana. So did Darren who was finally able to touch the girl who had been grabbing his attention for several hours.
Nirvana was shocked, her eyes widened and she quickly let go of Darren's embrace. Nirwana walked away and asked, "You're not part of the team? Are you a thief?" he shouted while taking one of the digging tools embedded in the waist to protect himself.
Darren smiled cynically at her, "The thief you said? You should be thanking me, if it wasn't for me, you'd have fallen into that hole!"
Nirwana glanced towards the gaping large hole that was two meters away from him. The girl gulped violently, imagining herself falling into that horrible dark hole.
"Then if not a thief, who are you? Why is it here?" asked Nirwana again with a sharp glance, he still pointed the digging tool at Darren making the handsome man chuckle.
Nirwana who felt bad finally lowered the tool used to threaten Darren slowly. The rumbling sound came again followed by a small shock. Nirwana again lost balance, his body almost slipped when the land he stepped on landslide.
Darren quickly pulled Nirvana by the hand and hugged her.
"It seems dangerous here, we have to move there" Darren said, noting the widening crack.
"Y-yeah you're right, but how do we move across the street?" Nirvana was nervous and frightened, only this time she was in a life threatening situation.
Darren smiled amusedly at the pale face of Nirvana who was now nervous unworthily, "Well, look who is now hugging and frightened." his taunts at Nirvana made the girl in his arms shame.
"Well, thank you sir …,"
"Darren, my name is Darren. I'm sorry we have to get acquainted in this way, miss …,"
"Nirvana,"
They were again engaged in a showdown, admiring each other and being enchanted. A small smile rose on the lips of the two, with such a close distance that Darren could smell the smell of Nirvana's blood teasing him.
His instincts moved to taste the girl's blood, he brought his face closer slowly. Darren drugged Nirwana with his abilities. Time stopped walking for a moment. Darren's eyes were fixed on the blood vessels in Nirvana's neck that were throbbing as if calling him to immediately stick the two fangs there.
"Professor Nirwana, are you okay? Professor, professor! Answer us?!" gery's voice over there sounded panicked and anxious.
Darren was surprised and slightly distanced his face. Nirvana also realized from the influence of Darren, he dazed for a moment before answering Gery's call.
"Yes, Gery .. I'm fine."
"Oh my God, thank goodness! We're worried here, your camera's down and these vibrations are damaging the satellite's signal receiver."
Gery's relieved voice sounded a little noisy with a strange mutter that somehow appeared within Nirwana's microphone. The signal was again interrupted, and Nirvana could hear no other sound than the strange muttering.
"Gery, hello are you there?"
"What's wrong?" ask Darren more.
"Either way the reception signal's bad."
The strange murmur was again heard, buzzing and echoing throughout the room.
"Did you hear that, Darren?"
"Yes, obviously." The ground again trembled, "We must immediately cross Nirvana, otherwise we may be mired here."
"But how?"
Darren looked at Nirvana and smiled, "Close your eyes and trust me."
"Are you sure?" Nirwana is in doubt but Darren's nod makes her choose to believe in the man who just saved her life.
Nirwana closed her eyes and tightened her embrace on Darren. The clan leader smiled, it was easy for him to carry Nirvana's body flying across the ground.
"Remember my body if you want to survive!"
Nirvana complied and tightened her embrace, with one jump Darren managed to carry Nirvana's body across the other. Without the slightest difficulty, Darren carried Nirvana's body to safety as he carried a feather.
"You still want to hug me?"
Nirwana opened her eyes and looked around, she took off her embrace quickly. "Ah, sorry I think we …,"
The sentence of Nirvana was interrupted because the sound was again heard, this time more clearly and brushed the fur of Rome. It sounded like a spell that an ancient witch had uttered in her day. Nirvana closed her eyes trying to understand what the word meant but to no avail.
"You heard it, didn't you?"
"Hhm, ancient mantra. We have to get out of here quickly, it looks like something is going to happen again." Darren replied, his eyes staring at the curious girl.
"No!" Nirvana stared at the door of the tomb that was still closed. "Not until I open the tomb!"
