An Ancient Relique's

An Ancient Relique's
The Hidden Castle

Nirwana discussed with several other professors involved in the meeting. He was very enthusiastic about what would become his new assignment and mission. After following the excavation at one of the world's largest sites his name was taken into account. But Nirvana was never heartened, he remained humble and did not carelessly take up the research offer even though it came from a reputable research institute.

Nirvana has a sharp instinct that no other archaeologist has. His ability to analyze historical evidence and literature is indeed above the average of other archaeologists. Nirvana can even solve difficult puzzles that sometimes appear in every ancient civilization.

At a very young age as an archaeologist, Nirvana was able to compete with world-class professors and other inventors of antiquity history. His nickname was no joke "Nose of Anubis".

The nickname obtained after successfully mapping an ancient tomb in the City of the Dead, in ancient Egyptian history. Achievements that are not cans anymore. Ancient curses, death traps, complicated language, and mysteries that envelop the City of the Dead were conquered.

Now is the time for a new mission, finding ancient relics that are said to be believed to be relics of the vampire clan.

"A unique form of relic." he mumbled softly, his eyes fixed on the sketch drawn with the help of Artificial Intelligence.

"Do you know what this relic is for?" Nirwana asked his team even though he already knew.

"These relics can be used to restore the past." Nicole the assistant replied while the others were only dumbstruck and preoccupied with intelligent thoughts if.

"Return the past? Oh, I'm so naive. Why bring back the past if the future is so much better." Nirwana raised her eyebrows next to.

His eyes were fixed on one of the ornaments that adorned the relic. "Goblins?" his finger pointed at one of the reliefs that adorned the corner of the relic.

The rest of the team immediately zoomed in on the original image and compared it to an AI sketch.

"Yup, complete with her little fangs." Gery answered Nirvana's question.

Gery, the best student in archaeology at the campus where Nirwana teaches. His expertise in the field of ecophagy (analyzing objects in the environment such as rocks, fossils, and the face of the earth) is quite qualified, he is also adept at reconstructing ancient artifacts even in imperfect conditions.

"Prof, the chemists and the geneticists have joined them waiting in the meeting room with other experts." Nicole tells Nirwana that her team is ready.

"Okay, Gery and you Nicole bring the necessary to the room. I'm catching up."

Nirwana needs to make sure of something before he starts the meeting. Habits he always does before carrying out his mission. Nirwana sat silently staring at the relic sketch in front of her, her eyes unblinking as if researching every detail of that ancient ornament. He held a yellowish green-eyed necklace given by his mother.

The warm feeling that radiated throughout his body seemed to give him the energy to open his instincts more sharply.

Nirvana did not realize there was a faint red wink hidden within the room. The mini camera is deliberately placed someone in the right corner to be able to display images of Nirwana and whatever happens in the room clearly in other places.

"What's he doing?" humam Darren without blinking.

"The canyon has strange powers. His energy is strong enough to protect a human as weak as himself."

"Sir, do I need to investigate who the lady is any further?" Abraham asked Darren who was busy playing a small iron ball between his fingers.

Darren did not reply, he just grinned showing a pair of his little fangs. "No, I'll investigate it myself. Abraham prepared everything we're going to the forest."

"Okay sir!" Abraham retreats to leave Darren who is still faithfully sitting and paying attention to Nirvana.

"Beautiful,"

...----------------...

After an exhausting journey, Nirwana and his team arrive in the forest of Hoia Baciu. The thin fog that enveloped the forest, plus the sunlight that is not too able to penetrate the ancient forest adds to the impression of haunted forests that are mostly overgrown with sub-tropical plant vegetation in general such as fir trees and shrubs. The difference in this forest is that the trunks of trees are curved and lead to a certain angle, strange indeed.

"Prof, are you sure we're getting in here?" Nicole made sure before they went any further into the forest.

Nirwana who occasionally paid attention to the top replied casually. "You scared? It's not even as scary as Egypt, Nicole. You know mummies, strange virus attacks, dark, hot, humid? We've been through more stressful."

Nicole looked to the right and left and back, she was trapped in the horrors her subconscious created. Nirvana's speech is correct compared to when in the pyramids of Giza and the City of the Dead is much more 'safe'. Really it? Actuallyno.

Nirwana and his team are unaware of the dangers that are lurking. The vampire clan under Darren has infiltrated the team. Not to mention the invisible residents who had been lurking from behind trees and the lack of light.

Hoia Baciu Forest is believed to be the center of magical power, where the legend of Count Dracula is suspected of hiding. This forest is also known as the Bermuda triangle of Transylvania. No resident dared to approach let alone the growing rumors saying anyone who entered would never be able to get out.

Gery uses a sophisticated satellite-connected tracking device. His hand pointed to the left at a ninety-degree angle from Nirvana's current position.

"Good! Come quickly before night falls."

They rush through the forest according to Gery's direction, sure enough that soon they arrive at an old, uninhabited castle with shrubs that almost cover part of the castle.

Nirvana smiled satisfied with her sparkling eyes to find a treasure as wide as the ocean, "Wow, beautiful is not Nicole? Adventure, we start here!"

"Temp up! We'll start our research here!" orders to team members.

Nirvana moved quickly before dusk arrived. He asked a few helpers to clean up the shrubbery that was covering the surroundings. Three men were tasked with making their way into the castle, while the other five deftly helped set up the main tent as a research camp.

Nirwana brought in twenty core personnel consisting of various experts in their respective fields of science. The young professor was assisted by Gery to remap the castle area by flying two reconnaissance drones. One of them is equipped with infrared which is directly connected to a sophisticated computer in the hands of Gery.

"Mapping is done prof! It all fits with the satellite imagery we got!" Gery satisfied with his work, he directed the screen at Nirvana.

"Good, we'll start tomorrow morning!"

Two drones have returned to Gery, Nirwana walking closer to the castle that almost partially collapsed. There was no fear enveloping him even though he realized something strange was enveloping the castle. The black shadow's prowess occasionally caught the tail of his eyes.

"Yes, yes a place full of mystery will not be separated from the strange things that follow it." he muttered with a wry smile.

After resting all night, Nirvana felt refreshed and very excited. After his perfunctory breakfast, he led the opening team into the castle.

"We started our research this morning, our target is to look for evidence and historical objects that have escaped scrutiny. Remember to always be vigilant and careful because this castle is very old. Don't separate and try to stay in the group!" he shouted out loudly before entering the castle.

"Wear masks and coat your hands with gloves!" he again reminded his team of security and safety.

Armed with a large banter on the head, a camera attached to his shoulder, a belt containing his mini excavation equipment, and also a stick to banish poisonous animals, Nirvana entered the castle. Several people followed him behind, two helpers armed with sharp machetes paving the way for Nirvana.

"Gery, where are we going?" nirwana asked Gery through a small microphone in her ear.

"There's a basement hidden just below the professor's hallway right now." said Gery with his glasses looking at the monitor screen with three-dimensional projection.

"Take us there," Nirvana ordered firmly, his eyes watching warily around. Awake from attacks by animals and other creatures that may occur.

Gery leads Nirvana to the basement. Nirwana slowly stepped down the stairs. Moist, slippery, plus the pungent aroma of spores. Fortunately Nirwana did not forget to wear a mask on each mission, this was done to prevent the entry of ancient viruses that may have been accidentally inhaled by himself and the team.

"Okay, now you're in front of that tomb prof. Your job is to open it but be careful with traps." Gery completed his orders.

"Yup, as usual!"

Nirvana walked closer to the tomb which is said to have contained a chest inlaid with gemstones. The arrangement of stones on the floor slightly disturbed him. The ancient tomb was thought to be in front of him, but he wasn't sure he could reach it easily.

"This rock is weird, Gery can you see from my camera?!"

"Yup, that's very clear!"

"What do you think of this floor pattern?"

Gery watched for a moment, then said "Trap, mom!"

"Hhhm, you're right. I'll make sure!"

Nirvana threw a large stone towards the floor with the largest rock shards. The stone landed in the middle. For a few seconds there was nothing strange but then the sound of movement in the ground and the stone floor changing patterns made everyone dumbfounded.

A huge gaping hole walked rapidly towards the position of Nirvana. The young archaeologist was surprised and evaded, but too late, his body lost balance as the large hole created a gap between him and the team.

"Oh, noooo!"
