After a bad shower and breakfast, Nirwana walks the path in the flower garden located at the back of Darren's house. The labyrinth made of shrubs in the middle of the garden is quite interesting Nirvana. He asked one of the servants Abraham had sent to accompany him.
"A unique shape, why is there a maze here? Do you know?"
"Sorry miss, I also don't understand why Mr. Darren wants it. But once in a while Mr. Darren trains his strength by getting into this artificial labyrinth."
The waiter answered kindly and politely like a hotel attendant serving guests, and Nirwana laughed.
"Can you answer as usual, this sounds ridiculous."
The servant smiled and bowed his body a little like respecting the royal nobility. "Sorry lady, I dare not do it. Moreover, miss is the future wife of Mr. Darren."
"W-what did you say? Wife-to-be, who said it?"
"Sir Abraham himself, he received direct orders from Mr. Darren that we take good care of his future wife."
Fucking vampire! When I told you I wanted to be his wife, sleeping with me last night didn't mean I bowed to you, vampire lord!
Nirvana held back furious, Darren too far interpreted their actions last night. Deciding to get married is not easy for Nirvana, let alone Darren a vampire!
Nirvana never imagined a vampire would be married. Connecting with humans alone is difficult especially with vampires who are clearly different races. Father and mother would be shocked to find their future son-in-law is a vampire. It is certain that one day last night the mother will nag at length on him.
Although Nirvana's mother was used to facing creatures from the dark but if a vampire was introduced as a potential daughter-in-law, it is certain that her mother would refuse. But I don't know sometimes destiny doesn't go according to expectations, right? Who can guess our own soul mate?
Nirvana did not want to linger in the park for long, his mood was ugly at once hearing the word wife-to-be. She's not ready to get married, let alone a vampire.
Nirvana returned to the house, Darren was right the large glasses in his house had been designed in such a way and blocked the sunlight into each room. Although during the day, but in the house the light remains dim so that the lights in some corners are still turned on.
Abraham walked up to her with a smile, "Did you enjoy the walk in the park miss?"
"Ehm yes and no." replied Nirvana firmly.
Abraham frowned and walked after Nirvana.
"May I speak with you for a moment Abraham ... both?" Nirvana gave Abraham a code so that the male servant who had met him would not follow them.
Abraham nodded and without saying much the servant left. "We can talk in Mr. Darren's office."
Abraham led Nirvana down the corridor of the house with a large glass decoration. Nirvana is amazed by such beautiful decoration.
"Mr Darren designed it himself, miss." Abraham seemed to understand Nirvana's curiosity so he explained without needing to be asked.
Arriving in Abraham's room and Nirvana sitting opposite, a warm cup of tea was provided by Darren's servant.
"I'm sure there's something you want to know, miss, and I'm ready to answer."
"Hhm, are all the servants here acting as formal as you, Mr Abraham?" Nirvana chuckled in amusement, and Abraham smiled in response to the beautiful archaeologist's question in front of him.
"Alright, I just want to make sure my safety's here. Remember ... everything here is a vampire." Nirwana lowered her voice.
Again Abraham smiled, the middle-aged man with a thick beard and mustache and glasses replied.
Nirwana was quite surprised by Abraham's statement, Darren's personal assistant explained.
"Mr Darren would rather call them laborers, a little more human than blood slaves for the present era."
"Human? Isn't that dangerous, I mean you vampires want to bite, eat and drink human blood, right?"
Abraham chuckled, "Mr Darren has strict rules miss, we who work for him should not carelessly prey on humans. We were only allowed to hunt once a year and were not allowed to kill. We're just taking a little bit of human blood to keep our instincts."
"Wow, quite surprising. Apparently Darren is very ... wise."
"That's because of the human blood that Miss inherited. Mr. Darren is a mixed vampire, a child vampire whose blood is hated by pure vampires."
"You're serious Abraham, Darren has human blood? How's it possible?"
"Yes, Mr. Darren's mother is human and Mr. Darren is a Dhampir. Half human and half vampire. He can get hurt, bleed, eat, drink like a human but he also has the power of a vampire." Abraham explained.
Nirvana pensive for a moment, Darren someone Dhampir this is something that Nirvana has just known. All this time he only knew all vampires were the same.
"Does he have the same weaknesses as a vampire?"
"Yes, of course. Mr. Darren has the same weaknesses and strengths as a pure vampire just that he's a little special. Dhampir's blood can kill a pure vampire. Just a little bit exposed to Dhampir's blood, a pure vampire's body would melt and die slowly."
Nirvana was astonished, "It's terrible, so the blood is deadly to other vampires?"
"Miss, that's why Cesar hates Mr. Darren so much. Although Lord Darren's strength is worthy of leading the vampire clan, but lord Darren's descendants won't be able to change the elders' ancient rules."
"you mean? Darren can't lead because he's not a pure-blooded vampire?"
"Surely miss, and unfortunately the ancient relics as her status booster are now untouchable. Only the lady as the chosen one can touch and use her great power."
Nirvana was silent for a moment, now she understood more and more why she became the target of the crazy vampires. Darren took her to the Constantin family mansion. All for his own safety.
"Ehm, this is about your human servant. Are you sure they won't be targeted by other vampires?"
"Of course there's a possibility, miss. Every one of our servants has a Constantin family mark, they will be known immediately if attacked. So far no one has dared to attack them."
"What about me Abraham? Do I guarantee it's safe here?"
Abraham smiled, he poured tea back into the cup of Nirvana. "You are destined to be the owner of the relic. It would be very difficult considering that the relics were contested by all the clans."
Abraham paused his sentence and looked at Nirvana with a serious face. "The only way to prevent you from hunting other clans is to marry Lord Darren."
Nirvana choked, "What?! Married married?!"
Abraham nodded slowly, "By marrying Mr. Darren no one can touch you miss. You are automatically bound by the laws of the vampire nation. You'll be safe in the protection of the Constantin family."
Nirwana gasped in disbelief, should not the marriage be preceded by a courtship period or at least Darren proposed to him first as the initial stage. How could he suddenly marry Darren? This was not the Victorian era where nobles could choose their partners without love.
Wait love? I guess I have a little taste of it. Not much, not yet. If there is no love how could I have made love to him last night, because I myself do not feel itchy while enjoying the touch of Darren .. ups!!
