AMEERA'S LOVE STORY

AMEERA'S LOVE STORY
PART 34'S

POV Habibie

A week Alifa went home to Uminya. In the space of a week, not a single day Umi asked Alifa to me. Maybe Umi misunderstood. Umi felt that I and Alifa were having problems, causing Alifa to leave our house.

“No Umi, we have no problem. Alifa went home to her parents because she missed Uminya.” At least that's what he told me. “Umi will know, Uminya Alifa now lives alone. Maybe Alifa just wants to accompany him for some time.” I don't know how many times I explained this to Umi.

“You sure nak?” tanya Umi assured.

“Iya Umi.”

“Alright then, tomorrow you pick up Alifa.”

“But Umi, what if Alifa doesn't want to go home? Does he mean he doesn't want to go home?”

“So right you guys have a problem?”

“No Umi, just—“

“Then tomorrow you pick up Alifa.”

“Good Umi.” I finally gave up. It is also not good to impose our will on parents.

Umi is just there. It could be saying that I and Alifa are in trouble. It's not that he knew for himself that we were all right. I always tried to treat him well, never did anything and said rudely to him. She is also very good in her role as a wife.

The next morning, according to Umi's orders, I set out to pick up Alifa. I did not tell him about my arrival. Let this be some kind of surprise. I know that Alifa is a house girl, she must be at Umi Salmah's house now.

After nearly five hours of driving, I finally arrived in front of Umi Salmah's house. And as I thought, Alifa's car was parked in front of her house. That means Alifa is indeed home.

Tok ... tok ....

“Assalamualaikum,” I said on the doorstep.

“Waalaikumsalam,” replied someone from inside the house while opening the door for me.

As soon as the door opened I was so surprised to see someone who had just opened the door for me. The cream-hooded sweet girl was looking at me with just as much surprise. The sweet heart-filling girl that I miss so much. Amelia ...

As soon as my mind came to a realization, I immediately lowered my gaze. I saw him do the same.

“Please enter,” he said gently. Uh, looks like something's weird. Why didn't he ask me why I was here? Or at least ask who I want to meet. As if he knew ....

“Please sit. Umi Salmah and Sis Alifa still pray in the mosque. Once they are done, I will convey the arrival .. I mean later I tell you there are guests.” It seems like he was confused what to call me.

Why is Ameera here? Did you know that I am the husband of Alfah? Seeing his attitude towards me right now seems like he knows. But does Alifa also know who Ameera is?

As soon as Ameera was about to leave, I immediately called her back. “Wait Ameera!” He was surprised because I called him.

“Sorry I got a lot of work behind.” In back? Does she work here as a domestic assistant?

“Only Ameera, I beg you to sit down for a moment.”

He looks agitated. Seen from the way he turned to the left and right and then lowered his gaze to the floor. But in the end he sat on the couch in front of me.

“How are you?” my many.

“Alhamdulillah well,” the answer is short.

“You why are here?”

“I work here.”

“You already know that I and Alifa—“

“I'm sorry Ameera, this is really not my wish. You know, until now I have not been able to forget you, I am still—“

“Aa no need to explain anything. Whatever happens between us is only the past, and now we have each other's lives. I hope there are no more discussions about this in the future.”

“You've completely forgotten me Ra?” tanyaku riled, “are you also married?”

“Even I am now pregnant.” Deg ... The sentence Ameera had just uttered felt like a knife was piercing right in my heart, sore.

“Be-how many months?” many nervous.

“Jalan five.” Answer's short.

It hurts to know she's carrying a baby from another man. Ameeraku .. now belongs to someone else. I have no hope of living with him anymore. My chest feels tight. My eyes feel sore. Can I cry in front of him now?

“Habibie .. when come nak?” Umi Salmah walked towards me. Behind him was Alifa following.

“Newly Umi.” I woke up to greet my mother-in-law. Then Alifa came up to me and kissed the back of my hand. Kulirik Ameera. He looked uncomfortable, and turned his gaze in another direction.

“I'll get you a drink first Umi.” Ameera seemed to move from her seat. So it's true that she works as a domestic assistant here.

“Do not bother neng, let Alifa alone make it. You just rest,” said Umi Salmah.

“Good Umi,” says Ameera. Alifa left us in the living room.

“New household assistant Umi?” manya curious.

“Not, he helped Umi take care of catering orders, help-help Lusi.”

“Oh ...”

Actually there are many things I want to ask Umi Salmah about Ameera. I don't think he was here at my wedding with Alifa. But how could he be here? What is Ameera's relationship with Umi Salmah's family.

“Drink the tea Bie.” Because I was busy thinking about Ameera, I was not aware of the arrival of Alifa.

“Thank you,” I said to her while drinking her homemade tea.

“Why did you come here and not tell Bie first?”

“Umi the maksa. Umi thinks you've been here a long time because we're in trouble. Though I know, it must be Uminya aja who misses his favorite daughter-in-law this.” Alifa seemed to be smiling at me. As usual his attitude was always polite and meek. All this time I never saw Alifa angry or sulking. I still don't think, how could Umi think like that.

Alifa POV

I was surprised after the dzuhur prayer with Umi found Habibie at Umi's house. And what surprised me more was that he was chatting with Ameera. So it's true that the Ameera in this house is the same as the Ameera I saw in the photo in Habibie's wallet.

I wonder what they are talking about. Maybe they are re-knitting their unfinished love story. Still hard to believe indeed, the son of a kyai turned out to be in a relationship with a girl who is not his muhrim.

“Even I am now pregnant.” I heard Ameera say that to Habibie. Wh why? Why would he lie to Habibie? But I know he's not married.

Ameera left the three of us as soon as she realized my arrival. I accidentally called Habibie with a call ‘Bie’ in front of him. Just wanted to make sure whether Ameera still loved Habibie or not. And it turns out I saw it. The water's changed. I know he's jealous. I'm sorry Ameera, I'm a little selfish. I just don't want my husband to love another woman. My husband is mine.
