AMEERA'S LOVE STORY

AMEERA'S LOVE STORY
PART 22

"Where are we going, sister?” my tent in the middle of the journey.

“Later also you know Ra, handle,” Heru's word, “later we buy a helmet first in front there yes, all of us buy snacks at minimarket.”

I tightened my embrace on Heru's body. The night was getting late, the air was already starting to feel cold. When I touched my left hand, I was surprised to realize one thing. I pulled both my hands from Heru's body. Staring at the small object attached to the ring finger of my left hand.

“Why Ra?” Heru who realized I was letting go of my embrace to her asked.

“Ring from Umar,” My words are half whispered.

Heru stopped the speed of his motorbike and stopped on the side of the road. He took my hand and took the ring from Umar. For a moment he looked at the ring and then he threw a direction.

I just stared at the direction the ring went. Naas, I can't see it at all.

“Move on Ra, move on ...” Heru returned to running his bike after doing so.

“Why was thrown out, would it be a pity if sold enough money for me to buy quota.” I don't agree with what Heru did. Despite this, I have absolutely no intention of preventing it.

Heru laughed out loud hearing my words, “you're right Ra, what a pity well. Let's turn around and find the ring. Later the results of our sales for two yah?”

Although he said that, but what happened did not match what he said. We continue our journey. There was no sign Heru would turn back the pace of his vehicle.

Heru seemed to be amused by my jokes. I'm not kidding about selling rings from Umar. There were still remnants of his laughter, even when we had gone for a few minutes.

Like the original plan, we paused for a moment to buy a helmet and buy some snacks and drinks in cans. After that we went on a journey that I didn't even know where I was going.

About two hours drive we finally arrived at the place referred by Heru. A cottage by the lake with large trees on its left and right sides.

“Whose home is sister?” manya curious.

“This is the cottage of my late father Ra,” he replied slowly.

Seeing the sadness on Heru's face, I undo the desire to ask further. I'm afraid I'll offend Heru.

We entered the cottage. The building is simple, wooden with walls made of woven bamboo. There's only one bedroom there.

“I haven't been here in a long time. Back when I was in school, almost every holiday my father took us here. Now this cottage is empty, but every day someone will come here to clean it.” Heru seemed to spread his gaze throughout the hut. It seems like he was reminiscing about the time with his father first.

“This place is suitable for you to calm down Ra. How do you think?” Heru asked my opinion about this cottage.

I nodded my head approving of what Heru said. This place is far from the city crowd. The atmosphere is also beautiful. The day will be so beautiful. Since I came here when it was dark, I couldn't see the scenery around.

“Let's sit there, you must be tired.” I followed Heru's invitation. We sat next to each other on the sofa in the middle room of the cottage.

“Oiya brother, brother said there was a job, right? How are you going back to my hostel?” manya curious.

Heru seemed to smile at my question, “you don't know I have a sixth sense yet?” Heru looked uproariously after saying that. I pinched him in annoyance.

“He was serious instead he replied in jest!” irked me.

“Who is also kidding.” Heru grabbed the drink we had bought at the mini market and drank it. She seemed completely unperturbed by my piercingly-sharp gaze towards her.

All right, I'm giving up. I'm not gonna ask that again.

The night is getting late, the air is getting colder. I repeatedly rubbed my palms together to warm them up a little. But still, I think the cold air got stuck through the cracks of the bamboo booth.

“So I don't sleep here? It's cold loh.” I warned Heru.

Heru seems to be pretending to think, “hem ..., you're right Ra, then how about we share a bed?” Heru laughed out loud after I bulldozed towards him.

“You are calm Ra, I have a drink that can warm the body. I keep it here, because every time I come here I always need it,” Heru assured.

“Drinks? What drink?” manya curious.

“Bokah do not need to know, already there enter.” Heru pushed my body into the room.

I finally decided to follow Heru's word. Anyway I'm very tired. Want to immediately lie comfortably on the bed.

Room is quite simple. It was only about twice three meters in size. In it there is only one mattress, one small cupboard, and one small table beside the bed.

I lay my body on the bed, staring at the ceiling. I am quite grateful that there is a Heru who always comes when I need help.

Suddenly my mind remembered Habibie. What is he doing now? Is he enjoying his bridal night with his wife?. Remembering it all makes me feel sad. My heart ached as if it was sliced into pieces. I should be there with him now. Not another girl.

After being in a long daydream, I began to try to make peace with myself. True said Heru, I have to move on. Although moving on my version is different from moving on his version, but I justify the idea from him.

I woke up from a short sleep because of thirst. It turned out that it was still dark, the air was getting colder as if piercing to the bone. I opened the curtains attached to the door of the room as a link between the room and the living room.

I didn't find Heru there. I spread my eyes across the room, but Heru wasn't there. Then I heard the sound of water gurgling from the back of the house. I'm sure Heru is currently in the toilet.

I decided to sit on the sofa while waiting for Heru to come out of the toilet. My eyes caught a drink bottle lying on the table. I remembered Heru's earlier remark. This must be what Heru means as a body warming drink.

I poured some of it into the glass, the smell was very sharp. I don't drink like a thirsty man. Although it tastes bad, I still drink it hoping to warm my body a little, as Heru said.

Slowly my body felt light and warm. I decided to drink another glass. It didn't feel as bad as when I first tried it. I also started enjoying it. I've finished two glasses. Just as I was about to pour for the third time, I heard someone shout my name, “Ameera stop!”

I looked towards the source of the voice. A man half ran towards me and kept the bottle of drink and the glass away from me.

“Why are you drinking this Ameera?” ask the man riled.

His expression was very funny, I laughed out loud because of it. I don't know why I can't stop my own laughter, as if I've lost control of myself. I still laugh at the man standing angry in front of me even though I see him dislike it.

The man sat beside me, “honey, you shouldn't drink this, this is my drink, you can't drink.”

“Aa angry? Why is Aa angry because I asked for Aa's drink? I didn't even spend it all, I just drank a drop,” I said as a spoiled grunt in his stocky hand.

I suddenly felt very sad. Tears rolled out of my eyes. I cried terjugu. I don't know what makes me feel this sad. I can't control myself.

“Aa don't be mad, don't stay with me.  I promise you I'll change this drink.” I pointed my index and middle fingers at him.

Seeing her still angry expression, I approached her and hugged her tightly, “Aaa don't stay away from me. I did as Aa said. I was waiting for Aa to come, but why did the one who came was Aa's wedding invitation. Aa evil ... evil .. evil ...” I flailed the chest of the field of the man who was still silent beside me.

“Aa know? I used to really want to hug Aa like this, feel the warmth of Aa's body, but I hold everything just so that Aa does not ilfeel the same as me.” My crying broke too.

“I love Aa..., Aa is the only man who has always been in my heart.” I cried in the arms of the man I loved so much. Without feeling, because I was too tired to cry I felt tired and began to sleepy. I'm asleep too.
