AMEERA'S LOVE STORY

AMEERA'S LOVE STORY
PART 33

Alifa POV

‘Ameera? This girl in front of me is named Ameera? Could it?’ My mind's floating.

I looked at the girl who was looking at me. His eyes, his nose, his lips, and his face as a whole did bear some resemblance. Only her appearance is different. The Ameera I saw was photographed in Habibie's purse not veiled. The girl in front of me looks more Islamic.

Just a few months ago I was happy because I finally got a man I admired and I expected to finally accept our matchmaking. One thing I didn't know at the time was that he never loved me or even just looked at me. He accepted this matchup because of the coercion of his parents who felt they were indebted to Abi who had just died at that time.

At that time I still had hope that he would start loving me when we were married. But the truth is not. Her body is with me, but not with her heart. His heart belongs to someone else. Even though he gave me a bath, but I knew that he imagined another girl while he was with me. He used to say Ameera's name in his sleep, even after we had sex.

Sick? Sure oes. Which woman is not hurt to know that her husband loves another woman. He even mentioned her name when he was with her. But all that I hold, I hope he will forget that woman.

For several months of marrying her, she still remained polite and treated me gently. But that's not what I want. I want his heart, I want his love, I want his attention. It was precisely his overly polite attitude as it hinted that I was someone else, not his wife.

Until last night. I accidentally saw a photo in Habibie's wallet. In the picture, he is with a girl. The girl appeared to be asleep, leaning on Habibie's shoulders. It seems that the photo was taken by Habibie secretly without the girl's knowledge. At that time I knew that Habibie did not intend to forget the girl named Ameera. Nor was he trying to love me and accept me as his wife.

In the morning I told him to go home to Umi without saying or asking about the photo. I was too scared to hear the answer. Without asking, he immediately allowed it and only apologized for not being able to deliver. He didn't realize or even wanted to know how I felt.  And when I wanted to pour out all my grievances to Umi, I saw her here instead. The girl in Habibie's purse is standing in front of me right now.

“Kok even daydream?” Umi's voice broke all my daydreams.

“I went back to Umi first, it looks like you guys want to talk about something serious, I'm afraid to interrupt.” The girl went to the back of the house with the tray she had used to bring us two cups of tea.

“Alright, thank you for the tea,” Umi said when she said goodbye.

“Iya equally.”

As soon as she left, I asked Umi, “dia who is Umi?”

“So it has been introduced, his name is Ameera,” replied Umi.

“Iya I know, I mean why is he here? Is he Umi's new assistant?” manya curious.

“Not, he helped Umi ngurus catering.”

“Umi know where is Ameera?” I forgot my purpose here because I was more interested in knowing more about Ameera.

“You're why the hell I'm curious about Ameera. Didn't you just say something to talk about?” Umi seemed reluctant to tell me. I was confused, how should I tell Umi that what I am about to tell this has to do with Ameera. But before that I have to make sure of something first.

“Hemmm ... later deh Umi, I am tired of taking a break in the room, can?”

“Of course it may be dear, but do not first sleep, responsibility soon dzuhur.”

“Iya Umi.” I woke up to my room. It turned out that everything in this room had not changed. Everything still looks the same as before.

My mind is still worried. Honestly, I'm afraid the answer is yes. What if Habibie finds out Ameera's here? They will eventually meet. What if they ... ah, just imagine that I can't.

I heard Adzan's voice echoing. I woke up to Mushola. I didn't find anyone at home. Where's Umi?

I heard someone was chatting in the guest room. I slowly walked towards him. “Already adzan, let's pray first neng.” Apparently Umi's voice.

My eyes see them. Umi was embracing Ameera's shoulder. It seems they are very close. Suddenly a feeling of jealousy. After getting the love of Habibie, now Ameera also get the love of Umi. I am so envious of his luck. ‘Astaghfirullohaladzim.’ I soon came to my senses from the dirty thoughts that had filled my head. It's not appropriate for me to think like that.

I tried to manage my emotions, then went into the room. “Umi, Ameera, would you like to pray together?” my many. I saw the girl smiling at me and nodded her head. Her smile was sweet, according to her face. Habibie could not forget it.

After performing the prayer dzuhur congregation, we headed to the dining table for lunch together. Once again I have to see Umi's proximity to Ameera. My heart was burning again. I immediately took the opportunity to throw that feeling back.

“You've been here a long time, baby? Home alone or picked up by husband?” ask Umi. It was a simple and natural question, but I felt it differently. Going home? Why did Umi ask you to come home? Didn't Umi feel that I can't think of this house as a place for ‘pulang’.

“Hemm .. later I ask Habibie Umi.” I deliberately mentioned Habibie's name in front of Ameera. I just want to see his expression. And sure enough, for a split second I saw a change in his facial water. I'm more and more convinced that this girl in front of me is the same girl. Why do I suddenly feel like the world is so narrow?

“You are well, same husband call me name. Even if you are the same age, but you should always be polite with your husband dear,” said Umi.

That's what Umi said. But I can't discuss it here, that our relationship is not that close so we have to have other nicknames like married couples in general. All this time I felt Habibie only respected me as a fellow human being, nothing more.

“Hemmm ... Ameera is married?” I asked as I turned my eyes to her.

“Not brother,” answer.

“There is a candidate?” ask again. I just wanted to make sure there was no reason for Habibie to get close to him anymore. And I was really disappointed that he shook his head.

“Later I ask Habibie to introduce some santri who might fit you.” Once again I mentioned Habibie's name in front of him. And I saw that his facial water had completely changed. I can still see him even though he tries to cover it with a smile.

“Have ... already .. kok even chat.” Umi mediate our chat.” Continue to talk after eating. Now finish your food.”
