CHAPTER 55. Between Sharia and Love

"His friday prayer?" aurel asked Sean who had just gotten into the car.

Sean took off the peci that was on his head then tidied his hair for a moment before answering Aurel's question.

"Well, straight to your college, right? It's still not too late" Sean replied to Aurel.

"Not yet Mas, uh brother," replied Aurel.

Sean this afternoon drove Aurel to his campus after Dikta came home so that the Deed could be taken care of by his mother while Aurel finished classes on campus.

"We're on the road now yeah," Sean started the car engine.

Aurel nodded and made Sean run his car away from the mosque area towards the nearby Aurel campus.

"Today you wear the hijab that I love then?" asked Sean to open the conversation.

"Yes, why?" aurel asked, closing her phone which she had been playing.

"Father, you look so beautiful just wear it, keep it istiqomah well until I halalin you," replied Sean glanced at Aurel through the front view.

"Halli? Am I illegal?" it was Aurel who made Sean laugh. "When is this halaline?"

"Insha Allah as soon as possible" replied Sean smiling meaningfully.

Shortly after the car that was carried by Sean is now parked in the courtyard of the Aurel campus, Aurel put his phone in a bag and then out of the car followed by Sean.

"The spirit well college, do not be reckless, let the future wife brother bachelor," Sean smiled to Aurel. "The girl besides her priest is always in question but her strata in education must also be considered, so that the world and the hereafter can be in line."

Aurel nodded at Sean's statement to him, as Aurel wanted to move into his campus, he paused after listening to a sentence that pierced his heart.

"Aurel's a convert, right? He has been often on the Om-Om shuttle so mortgaged his religion, he said the heck they were dating,"

An annoyed Aurel was about to come to the person who said that, but Sean immediately held Aurel's hand and shook his head in order not to make a fuss and considered it just a passing wind.

Sean was silent, he could not block Aurel anymore, Aurel had now arrived before the two people and was staring at them flat.

Both men were silent. "You said I pawned my religion for love? Is not true love planted by reason and sharia? I have thought this through reason so that I do this because of God, I am changing my faith because of love, my love for God that will not exceed my love for his people."

"Try to think carefully? You always judge the privilege of others until you forget what the privilege of God is for you, if you continue to judge others at any time will never end," Aurel pounced on them with his sentence. "Or did I forget that basically humans prefer to judge?"

"I know about myself, so you can only judge me, I am not a pious man but I remember a phrase Hablum Minallah Hablum Minannas, said, the one who knows the relationship with God is myself and my relationship with man is me too" Aurel concluded. "Assalamualaik."

Aurel walked back to Sean who stood up and then took him into the car, Sean said and entered.

"Be class?"

"So, please take care of the deed" Aurel replied, prompting Sean to start his car engine and leave the area.

"Why did you do that?"

"Because Brother Sean loves God," Aurel replied staring at Sean.

Sean raised his eyebrows which made Aurel sigh long.

"Someone says, do not love those who do not love God. If they can leave God, then they will also leave you, I love Brother Sean because of God" Aurel explained.

"Why are you so sure?"

"The good man will not play with love, because he knows it demands responsibility" Aurel said.

Sean was completely slapped by Aurel's sentence, he didn't expect Aurel to be this mature.

"I will ask Allah SWT to meet you twice, once in this world and once again in heaven" Sean replied.
