Adam and Sean throw each other real stares Adam was impatient to know the eight obligations of a Father Connect to the Son of Step.
"There are eight obligations of a Stepfather to a Stepson later," Ustad Zaky's voice was heard walking out carrying a tray of two tea glasses for Sean and Adam.
"Please drink first," Ustad Zaky put the drink on the table in front of Adam and Sean who were the separators of their sitting distance.
Sean and Adam nodded and drank the tea while Ustad Zaky, who was wearing casual clothes that day, looked at the two of them by massaging the base of his nose.
"The first is, Good for the child, isn't this the basic thing? Treat the child the same as our own, so this is the first thing you should base on when you marry Dikta one day" Ustadz Zaky paused. "The second is, Come to the end, if his biological father is gone, the third is to educate the good."
"Don't look so seriously, please drink back the tea," continued Ustadz Zaky break the seriousness of Sean and Adam.
Adam and Sean who had bent their bodies forward heard all the explanations Ustad Zaky straight up their bodies.
"The fourth is there, providing protection, as the responsibility of stepfather in Islam to his stepson is also included in providing protection. As much as protecting his mother, the child also deserves protection from his stepfather. At least, a stepfather can provide protection in the form of security and comfort in his stepson, fifth there, Giving affection of a father, sixth, Being a motivator for his stepson, seventh there, and so on, Give religious education to stepchildren and the eighth answer is to yourself."
"My own self?" adam pointed at himself with his index finger.
"To be more precise" Ustad Zaky grabbed Adam's palm and placed it on Adam's chest. "There is in your heart, if you are sincere, and sincere, God willing, God will make your way easier."
Hearing the words of Ustad Zaky who managed to hit the bottom of Adam's heartstrings made Adam bow, that in fact the best answer of all his readiness is in himself in addition to the referrals and explanations through religious law.
"Is there anything you want to ask?"
"Am I obligated to support my stepson?" ask Adam.
"There are three things that cause a person to be obliged to give a living" Ustad Zaky gave a pause. "First, have relations between the nasab and relatives. For example, between a biological father and a biological child. Second, have a marriage bond. For example, between husband and wife. Third, because of ownership. For example, someone has a slave, then he is obliged to provide for it."
"So?" adam still did not understand.
Ustad Zaky sighed.
"If the biological father of the stepson is still responsible for the living and all the needs of the child is his own biological father. But if the child's biological father is gone, then the one who takes over the responsibility is the brother of the child's biological father, as well as his birth mother. But it would be a very noble deed if a stepfather also participated in supporting and providing for his stepson" explained Ustad Zaky.
"In Islam, stepchildren are not entitled to inheritance from their stepfather, and vice versa. This is because between the two there is no relationship between the two that causes the two can inherit each other. Therefore, the stepfather is not obliged to give a living to his stepson, nor vice versa, the stepson is not obliged to give a living to his stepfather," Ustad Zaky smilingly looked at the satisfied faces of Adam and Sean for the answers to all their questions.
Then Ustad Zaky let Adam and Sean drink his tea before Adam and Sean say goodbye from there.
