Alana is in a special room. Ananta has not been allowed to return to the regular room, as it needs further observation for post-operative action.
Ananta was still sleeping due to the effects of the anesthetic during the surgery. Still sleeping quietly which made Alana feel anxious. In the room there was only her who could only wait patiently. Ananta's father and mother are still seeing doctors to get an explanation of Ananta's condition after surgery.
Alana observes Ananta's heartbeat, as well as his every body from head to toe. Ready in case they move indicates Ananta is awake.
After several hours of waiting in the same position finally the forehead wrinkled, then his eyes slightly moved before slowly opening perfectly.
The movement made Alana erode the distance to get closer to Ananta. After feeling certain that Ananta is really awake, Alana immediately goes to tell her father before Ananta's hand restrains him weakly.
"wait a minute" he said in a hoarse voice. Alana turned towards Ananta again. He just woke up after surgery, shouldn't move much. Just look at it now, Ananta was already frowning feeling a strange feeling all over his body. His breathing was a little irregular.
"i survived?" ananta asked as if he could not believe it. It felt like he was just sleeping, but his sleep felt really gripping. Alana could only nod in response. His body and his feelings are tired of facing all this, but he is happy because with everything he has gone through it can make Ananta by his side longer.
Ananta tried to touch his chest which felt strange making Alana rush over him.
"the need has not healed" said Alana sighs heavily observing Ananta's behavior. Ananta must not feel how his skin is filled with stitches that are now covered in thin hospital clothes. The anesthetic effect must still be there.
Afraid of Ananta doing things that could open her wound again, Alana finally pressed the bell to call the sisters. He can't leave Ananta alone. She would wait for the sisters to come, staring at Ananta who was now staring blankly at the ceiling of the room.
"Na.." call Ananta. Alana approaches to hear what Ananta wants to talk about, so that Ananta does not speak too loudly.
"why"
"I'm alive." he said in a floating tone between a statement and a question.
"yes, you're alive." Alana replied patiently. If she had recovered and she still asked so, Alana would have happily pinched her cheek until she regained consciousness. Ananta looked calm now, but suddenly thin tears flowed from his eyes. He was grateful, still given the chance to live once again. Because deep down, he thought he would not survive.
Ananta turned to Alana who was faithfully sitting next to him. Staring at him so deeply as if they had not looked at each other for a very long time.
After realizing that Ananta was crying, she wiped her tears slowly. But Ananta held his hand making Alana touch the cheek of ananta long.
"ah, sister!" call Alana immediately confirming her nervous-looking expression.
"Ananta just woke up after surgery" he continued, explaining the situation before standing away from Ananta's bed. It feels so shameful when others see it. Moreover, the position earlier made it look like Alana who did it even though Ananta was holding his hand.
"ah, yes well.I understand" said the nurse took a deep breath before continuing her work to check the condition of the patient who just had a sweet scene. If he had a girlfriend he was also mah in the face and touched like that, he thought wrong focus.
"According to my examination the condition has been somewhat stable, but later when the anesthetic effect runs out it may hurt, so please keep it up. After this I call the doctor on duty" he said patiently. Alana nodded in understanding, but she was still a little annoyed as the nurse threw a small smile at her before completely saying goodbye to return to her post.
He looked at Ananta again, would be angry also can not if now. So he held it off for later when Ananta was healed.
"No, no pain?" This question Alana asked many times to make sure the anesthetic was still felt. Alana had no idea what the pain would be like when the medicinal effects ran out, but imagining the wide wound post-surgery left her grimacing a little and not daring to imagine the taste. Every time Ananta would answer with a soft belt, at that time he could only be relieved.
Moments later Ananta's father and mother returned, only briefly they but it felt very long for Alana.
"tante, Ananta has woken up" he said, leading the woman to rush towards the bed.
"are you okay, son? is anyone sick?" like Alana, she observed Ananta from head to toe. Ananta answered with a piggy bank again. I don't know how many times he's shaken since he woke up today. Ananta knew, they must be very worried, even his father to frown a little when he saw it even though he was still just watching from afar.
...****************...
Alana's father came to Ananta's transition room. Delivering things to avoid post-surgery. Not many things have changed, things that were not allowed to be done now are still not allowed to be done. It's just that there's one addition that he still can't eat before all his organs are sure to work properly. Though now it feels very hungry, because since morning has not eaten. Only milk can she put in her mouth and it really doesn't make her tasteful.
"Alana, want to eat." whine, now replace Alana who shook a lot. Taking care of Ananta feels like babysitting right now.
But when suddenly Ananta frowned Alana knew the anesthetic effect was over. In a hurry, Alana clasped Ananta's hand, perhaps she could use to vent her pain. Ananta had been taking his medicine periodically, but the pain still appeared to sometimes make everyone nearby feel worried.
"it hurts?" tanya alana felt pity, ananta still held her back. The grip on his hand tightened but not to the point of making him feel pain. After the pain subsided Ananta just answered his question.
"no pain" he answered briefly. As if he was not the one who had just grasped Alana's hand tightly, his hand had still not been released but had already said so. During this guarding of Ananta, Alana held back a lot of things. He pinched and kicked Ananta when he pretended to be fine. But well, he had to hold it on now. He always reminded many times, if the patient must be honest with his own condition to recover quickly!
