Actually I Why?

Actually I Why?
WOMAN AT THE END OF MAGRIB (2)

****

Purple patches were faintly visible among the darkness. Part of me still wants to be shut down, while the other me wants to get out of this darkness. Samar, I could hear Papa's voice calling my name repeatedly. I flinched when something cold stuck to my forehead.

“Ngggg,” I blinked a few times when I realized, Papa aimed the flashlight and the light was right on my eyeball.

“Ayasa?” call Papa again.

I coughed and opened my eyes once more.

“Mbak Ayaaas, hu .. hu .. hu,”

Noa's cry sounded so close, before long I could feel my right hand being squeezed firmly.

“What happened?” I asked Papa, when I was fully conscious.

Papa stood up, he rubbed his face rough. Not far from him, Mbok Yeye smiled bitterly at me. He seems to be carrying a basin.

“Should have been, Papa asked, Yas. Why you and your sister? Mbok Yeye called and said that you two drowned in the bathtub. What are you guys doing? You guys want to leave, Papa?” the man's voice was rising.

My forehead shrinks, what does Papa mean?

Noa was still sobbing, she was now trying to hug my hand.

“Noa thinks Mbak Ayas died, Noa is scared once.” His murmur that made Papa's emotions even more ignited.

“Ayas! Papa knows you lost your mother. Papa is the same, son. But, Papa begs you not to take any dangerous actions. Especially if you bring your sister. What happens if Mbok Yeye doesn't come home and find you two?” he scratched his hair.

I was silent with my lips wide open. My head felt heavy, trying to remember the incident.

“Papa wrong. We were in terror as a spooky ghost. He peeked out of the vent,” Noa said, defending me.

Papa glanced at Noa, then took a deep breath.

“Papa wants you to stop teaching your sister to watch scary content, Yas. You can start by getting rid of horror novels on your desk shelf.” Papa muttered again.

I looked at the four collections of novels I had read frequently. Fourth, I deliberately put it on the top shelf, to make it easier for me if I want to read it. There is the Soundless Azan Village, the Dancing Corpses, and the Mystery of the Eruption of the Antika Stomach. Another romantic genre with the title Happy After Separating. It was actually Mama's novel, which is now mine.

The memory was recalled, Noa and I had not entered the bathroom but fell unconscious after seeing a terrible creature in the air vent.

“Pa,” call me slowly.

Papa, who was massaging his temple, turned his head.

“This has something to do with the figure I told you about two days ago. The figure came again, he was completely real. Noa also saw—”

“Ayasa! Enough!” Papa wrathful.

“What will people say if they hear your babble this time? Mama just died, and you want to say if she became a curious spirit?” snapped it.

Noa's squeezing my wrist. Slowly, I shuffled and sat down next to my sister.

“No demons, Ayas! It must be your hallucination. Papa will prove, after the horror novels disappear then your mind will be refreshed!” the hardship is full of emotions.

For 17 years, I never once saw Papa angry like this. For the first time he even yelled at me repeatedly.

“Already, Papa is tired! Papa doesn't want you guys to talk about anything he says bothers you both!”

He walked away leaving me and Noa surprised to see the other side of Papa.

“Make sure they eat something, Mbok!” papa orders Mbok Yeye to bow his head.

Papa closed the door hard enough to make my chest hurt.

My hands tremble.

Nah!

My whole body trembled looking at the figure that had always been gentle on us. It changed, just like everyone else. Noa hugged me tightly, sobbing to see me in tears.

“Bad papa! Huhuhuhu, I want Mama, Ma'am .. I want, Mama ..” the stuff.

I immediately grabbed my sister and patted her on the back.

“Nduk, what really happened? Tell Simbok?” Mbok Yeye approached us and sat down on the edge of the bed.

I told Simbok everything. I think it's okay if Mbok Yeye knows about the mysterious woman's problem because he has worked for our family for a long time.

“Yes Allah, so what Mbok saw was true,” Mbok Yeye said as he closed his mouth.

I asked Noa to stop crying, because her crying voice made me unable to listen to Mbok Yeye's explanation. The little girl nodded, but she stopped crying.

“A few days ago, Mbok also had time to see a female figure standing on the home page. Facing here. Mbok thought, it's a guest looking for Mr. Adrian. He wears a black umbrella and a black shirt too, right, Non?” guess Mbok Yeye.

I nodded, “Iya, Mbok. I tried to talk to Papa, but Papa was angry.”

Noa wiped her tears, “Kayak earlier. Papa is grumpy.” Reciprocity.

Mbok Yeye has always been used to going home and not staying at home. He will leave before five, after preparing dinner for the residents of the house. The next morning, Mbok Yeye will come after dawn to help you prepare breakfast and do housework.

That fat woman touched my forehead.

“Mbok was shocked to see Non Ayas and Non Noa were in the bathroom. Somehow, Mbok felt he had to come and see the situation Non both.” Evidently.

My body felt linu, the shadow of the face with the fiery red eyes was so clear.

“It looks like something is wrong, Non,” Mbok Yeye said, seriously.

I stared at him for a long time, occasionally glancing at the tightly shut door of the room. My feeling is that someone is eavesdropping on our conversation. The black shadow under the room door, seemed to twitch.

“This is definitely an effect, Miss read too many horror novels.” The link imitated Papa's sentence, which made me immediately turn my head and open my eyes.

I was a little surprised to see Mbok Yeye, blinking one eye repeatedly. His ear is pointing at the door.

“A—ah, yes correct. Maybe this is all the effect of reading too much of the novel, Mbok.” My reply followed where Mbok Yeye was talking.

The black shadow under the door seemed distant, I turned my head and rounded my eyes. Mbok Yeye nodded, he gave a small note and whispered if we could read the note after he came home.

“Now Non Ayas and Non Noa want to eat what?” tanyanya trying to restore a situation that feels tense.

Noa shook her head as I offered her some of her favorite food choices. I also feel not too hungry.

“How about two glasses of warm milk only, Mbok. With chocolate bread for me and cheese for Noa?”

Mbok Yeye smiled, he touched my chin gently and stroked the top of Noa's head affectionately. He went out and came back within fifteen minutes carrying what we wanted.

“Mbok should be home soon, Non.” Pamphitt.

Noa and I nodded. Our eyes kept seeing her figure come out until it disappeared behind my bedroom door. The plan is, tonight Noa and I will sleep in the room. The message given by Mbok Yeye, later we will read both.
