A Story From Zinnia

A Story From Zinnia
Part 8: Xavier's Dream

Xavier wakes up in a flower garden he has never visited before. A flower garden filled with Zinnia and other flowers. She was shocked to realize that she was in the royal pavilion, otherwise known as the queen's pavilion. It is the favorite place of Queen Issabela.

Xavier who was still half-conscious tried to digest what was happening. As he remembered, he had fallen asleep at his study desk. Somehow it got to the day.

He saw a silhouette of a familiar figure in his eyes standing not far away at the end of the garden. He slowly walked down the stairs to the flower garden. The park is not so big and surrounds the pavilion. Even so, somehow the steps did not reach the owner of the silhouette. It was as if the silhouette was standing extremely far away from him.

As he stepped, his eyes looked. He was very sure that the figure before him was not a stranger,

"Sister Ashton-??" Xavier hesitated.

The one who was called turned his head. Right, the standing figure was Nathaniel.

"Sister Ashton!" Call Xavier while waving both hands.

The figure standing before him now turned around. Nathaniel put his smile on before he stepped away. Xavier who saw it was only puzzled by astonishment.

"Sister Ashton?"

"SISTER ASHTON!!!" Nathaniel who went away from his sight.

In Xavier's vision, Nathaniel was surrounded by white light all over his body. A very confusing sight. However, Xavier did not stop chasing Nathaniel. But still he did not catch up with her.

His steps stopped when he saw a woman in all white clothes like Nathaniel. The woman reached out her hand to welcome Nathaniel.

Xavier squinted his eyes to recognize the figure of the woman,

"Mother?" Asked astonishment.

Although it has been 8 years since the death of the mother, of course Xavier still remembers very well how the face of the mother.

"Mother! Brother Ashton!" Xavier ran after the two.

The two figures again smiled towards Xavier. A very warm smile, as if making Xavier want to embrace the two right then and there.

"MOTHER! BROTHER ASHTON!"

The two figures moved further and further away from Xavier's presence. But Xavier was still relentlessly chasing them.

"Mothers... Brother Ashton..." Xavier's steps came to a halt when he saw that the two figures were no longer visible before him.

"Mother, Brother Ashton don't go... Where are you guys going? Don't go..." Unknowingly the tears had already piled up at the end of Xavier's eyes.

"Mothers... Brother Ashton..."

"Your Majesty-..."

"Mothers... Mama! Brother Ashton! BROTHER ASHTON!" Xavier yells.

"Your Majesty!" Liam woke Xavier up with a slight yell.

"Well... Huh.... Liam's..." Xavier was filled with sweaty fur on his face, his breathing puffing.

"Where am I?" Asked Xavier who had just woken up from his sleep.

"You're in the study, Your Majesty." Obviously Liam.

"You had a bad dream?" Ask Liam.

"Let's see, I don't understand what just happened..."

"You may be tired all day, you should not fall asleep in an uncomfortable position like that." Sahut Liam while filling a cup with warm tea from the available teapot.

"Please drink, Your Majesty."

"Thank you Liam."

Xavier drank the tea and tried to calm himself down.

"Did His Majesty dream of the queen?" Ask Liam.

"Yes, after all this time, my mother reappeared in my dreams. And this time there's Ashton's sister there too."

"I don't understand Liam, they look happy and smile at me. But at that moment my heart was very painful. It was as if they were going to go very far and leave me alone. I still feel my heart still hurts now." Xavier is obviously at length.

Liam approached and patted Xavier's right shoulder, "Pacify yourself, Your Majesty. Everything's gonna be okay."

Although their relationship is only limited to superiors and subordinates. Both are very appreciative of each other. Xavier never immediately looked at Liam only as his adjutant, Liam is an aide and friend and a trusted person that Xavier can always rely on. He is also an important person in his life.

And Liam too. He knew Xavier was a prince of a very different class and status than himself, but he also loved Xavier as much as his own brother. Liam once swore to himself, he would protect Xavier even if his life was at stake.

"Liam, I'm scared..."
