A Story From Zinnia

A Story From Zinnia
Section 20: Dinner

The two royal couples have arrived at a 5-star Michelin restaurant. The restaurant was previously booked by staff.

Honestly, it's Oliver's first time to a restaurant this fancy. He rarely ate out, because his father always cooked food for him.

"Welcome, Your Majesty." Said the restaurant owner bowing, he bothered to directly greet Xavier and Oliver at the entrance.

Bend it in reply by Oliver, "It's an honor for us, please come in, this way Your Majesty." He showed me the way.

The interior of the room is very luxurious, plus a magnificent impression of the furniture they choose. They walked to a private room reserved for VVIP guests.

Xavier glanced back, looking at Oliver who was a few steps away from him, "Take my hand" he said.

"Eh?? Uh! Yeah." yeah." Oliver assented and his right hand immediately took Xavier's hand.

"Your room is here, Your Majesty. For the dishes please wait." The restaurant owner said.

Xavier and Oliver enter the black-and-gold room, several bodyguards and servants waiting at the outside door to give them both some privacy.

Xavier pulled out a chair for Oliver to sit on from the table, "Sit down" he said.

"It's my first time having dinner at a restaurant this grand." Oliver

"Where's dinner all this time?" Ask Xavier.

"I had more dinners at home with my dad, although eating out was certainly only at a regular restaurant or even a roadside shop. Surely not this fancy." Timpal Oliver's.

Xavier sighed, "A roadside shop?!?!!"

"Yes! I'm happy to eat by looking at the atmosphere of the streets, even if in the restaurant you will choose a place on the window."

Xavier shook his head, knowing his father would never let him eat on the side of the road like that.

"Then... Now what do we eat?" Asked Oliver innocently.

"Wait, they'll avoid their menu."

"Hm." Oliver nodded, he was very curious about what menu this restaurant had.

Again, Xavier glanced at Oliver. When Oliver rubbed his hands on his arms, he looked cold. Not dizzy, he walked towards Oliver while removing the black suit he was wearing.

Xavier took off his suit on Oliver's back, "Wear it, you look cold." And coolly he returned to his seat.

"Thank you." Oliver said slowly.

Before long a chef and some restaurant waiters came by pushing a trolley containing trays that already had various foods on it.

The waiters painstakingly placed the food on the table, "This is your appetizer."

For the appetizers there are Hors d'oeuvre, Canape, Sweer Aspic Arcimboldo Jelly, and Kamikaze Cocktail. They were made so attractive to the eye that it was dear to Oliver to touch these foods, he thought.

"Please enjoy, Your Majesty."

"Thank you."

The chef and the waiters went back to the kitchen to prepare the main menu.

"Isn't this fine dining, it's a pity that these foods are so wonderful." Oliver put on a pouting face.

"Then your stomach will starve later, have already eaten."

They also began to eat their dishes. A new taste Oliver has never tried before. He did not stop feeding his spoon into his little mulit.

"Eat slowly, we are not in a hurry."

Oliver scowled, "Ahahahah, sorry."

There was no talk at their dinner session as Xavier was used to not talking while eating. But even so, Xavier occasionally chimed in on Oliver's rant about the description of the taste of the food he ate.

After a while the chef returned to bring his tray trolley containing the main dish.

"This is our main course, Your Majesty. Grilled Chicken with Mushed Potatoes and Sautee Vegetables. Please enjoy." He then left the room again.

"Oh! I've done this before. Whoa.... I didn't think the dish turned out to be one of the five-star menus as well." Oliver.

Xavier just smiled at the girl's chatter. 'This blonde girl really likes to eat turns out.'

They returned to their main dinner menu. Actually Xavier already feels his stomach is 85% filled now, the opening dish was quite a lot.

"I can't wait for their dessert." Goddamn Oliver.

"You don't feel full?" Xavier.

Oliver smiled again to the point that his eyes were all in line, "There's always room for dessert."

'really.... Adorable' inner Xavier.

Sure enough, after the main menu was finished, the chef re-entered with his tray trolley.

"As a dessert, we serve Affogato and Belgian Waffle, our special menu and restaurant pride. May you like it, Your Majesty."

Xavier nodded, "Thank you."

Without further ado Oliver returned to eating the dishes with ravenous. Honestly, he was very hungry before he came here, his energy had run out all day and he thought the menu of this restaurant was very compatible with his tongue. His eyes were fixed on a cold dish of vanilla-flavored gelato with an espresso flush named, Affogato.

"HMMM THIS AFFOGATO IS SO DELICIOUS, Xavier try!" Oliver exclaims.

"Is that really?" Xavier picked up his spoon and began tasting Affogato as Oliver had said.

Xavier widened his eyes and nodded slowly, "Hm... Right, this is delicious."

Their dinner ended with a very delicious sweet dish. After it was finished, Xavier and Oliver decided to end their dinner and prepare to go home.

The head chef and a few waiters are now driving Xavier and Oliver to the front of their restaurant.

"Thank you for Mr. Flynn's meal, we really enjoyed it." Xavier.

"Thank God your Majesty enjoyed it."

"The rhythm is so good sir!" Oliver exclaimed followed by a thumbs-up.

"AHAHAHA Thank you very much. We can make it for you whenever you want, Your Majesty." The chef smiled at the two of them.

"Alright, then see you next time Mr. Flynn." Xavier.

"Our restaurant is always open to you, Your Majesty." Chef Flynn's.

Xavier and Oliver rush into their car, "Oh, Your Majesty!" Chef Flynn stopped Xavier's steps, "Yes?"

Chef Flynn smiled, "I congratulate you on your marriage."

Xavier replied with a smile on his face, "Thank you very much." He got into his black limousine and rushed home.

"Go to Cassania Palace, Your Majesty?" Say the driver.

"Take Oliver first, to the de Mauren family residence." Answer Xavier.

"Okay, Your Majesty."

"No need, I can go home by myself." Oliver.

"It's late, where you might go home alone. Which male man left a woman on the street last night." Xavier Timpal.

Oliver was silent, he was actually just not used to being escorted home let alone in a limousine like this.

Soon they reached the residence of the de Mauren family.

Coincidentally Mr. Eden was in the yard of the house, he saw a black limousine with the logo of the Kingdom of Zinnia stopped in front of the fence of his house, "Oliver! Have you gone home, son?"

"Dad!!!" Oliver runs into his father's arms, greeted with a kiss on his forehead by Mr. Eden.

Xavier simultaneously came down to greet Mr. Eden, "Good night, Mister." Xavier bent.

"Good God, Your Majesty why didn't you tell me you were coming?"

"I just stopped by for a minute to drop Oliver off, sir. How are you doing?"

"Well, of course I'm good and healthy." Mr. Eden smiled, "How was your trip, it must have been exhausting, right? You don't bother Xavier, do you, son?"

"Of course not dad, hehehe." Kekeh Oliver's.

"No sir, just calm down." Xavier

"Thank you for bringing Oliver home, Your Honor."

"It's my duty, sir." Xavier looked at Oliver's gurgle who seemed to have wanted to get into the house, "Alright, maybe Oliver's been tired all day then I'll go home first, sir."

"Don't stop by for tea?" Barat Mr. Eden

Xavier smiled, "Maybe next time."

"Make sure you stop by." Tympanic Lord Eden.

"definitely. Oliver, Mr. Eden, I'll take my leave. Good night." Xavier said goodbye and headed for his car.

"Good night." Reply to them both at the same time.

"Be careful on the road!" Shouts Lord Eden from the threshold of their house.

Xavier simply replied by waving his hand from the windshield of the car. The black limousine drove away from the residence of the de Mauren family and into the palace.

"Let's go in!" Oliver.

"Come on."

"AH RIGHT! The jas... Xavier's suit is missing." Oliver said as he showed Xavier's suit to his father.

"Go to the palace, Your Majesty?"

Xavier leaned his back against the back of the car, "Yes, let's go home, I'm tired." Answer Xavier

On the way to the palace there was only silence in the car, Xavier occasionally opened the middle of his car window to see the dark night sky without stars, his mind hovering along the way home.

In the midst of silence,

"Hey, aren't the two of them very similar?" Xavier

"Who do you mean, Your Majesty?" The driver asked back.

"Oliver and his father. They're very similar, I think Oliver's really coming down the face and his father's temper."

"Of course, Your Majesty." Timpal the driver.

Unknowingly Xavier fell asleep in the passenger seat with a smile plastered on his face.
