A Story From Zinnia

A Story From Zinnia
Part 14: The Romance of High School Children

5 years later.

After the events of 5 years ago, now the situation in the Kingdom of Zinnia has returned as usual. With if a few things some things change and some do not.

The state of society has become quiet, King Arthur is still busy with his work taking care of the people, and Xavier who is now getting used to his duties. Xavier will be eighteen years and 4 months old. He now sits on the 3rd floor of high school. Xavier decided to enter the navy and sought 4 years of experience there after he graduated from school. He did not want to interfere with his time in getting an education and fortunately the father appreciated his decision.

School life hasn't changed much either. Xavier is now active in the riding club at his school along with his pal, Louis. He is also now familiar with his sister, Eveline, and Eveline's friend, Oliver. There are rumors that Xavier is actually harboring a taste for Eveline, his best friend's own sister. Even so, people call them by the name of "Four Secawan".

"Where will you go after graduation?" Xavier asked Louis.

"I? I don't know.... I'd love to be a doctor." Answer Louis.

"I think you want to be a prosecutor." Eveline.

"Victim? Eyy-that job doesn't suit me." Louis Sahut

"Doctor? Are you serious Louis?" Ask Xavier.

"Yes, why?"

"I don't think someone who plays football every day wants to be a doctor." Xavier's Kekeh.

"You know I really like biology lessons. Football is just a side."

The three of them are now in the school rooftop, a favorite place to relax. As exam season draws near, graduation and university entrance exams will be held in the second week of spring. Now Xavier and Louis who have been sitting on the third floor only have a little time left to enjoy school.

"And you're Eveline?" Ask Xavier.

"Oh me? I want to study literature and history."

"Gee... That's great." Xavier said in a slightly quiet voice.

Sometimes Xavier is envious of his friends. They can freely choose what they will become in the future and determine the path of life they want, while he? He was not even given another choice.

"Oh yeah, where's Oliver? How did he not look like that?" Ask Xavier curiously.

"He's in the school's broadcasting room. The problem is that these hours usually the radio club will read a historical story or a glimpse of science." Obviously Louis.

"Ore busy people it turns out." Xavier Chirps.

"Put you everywhere, Your Majesty." Ejek Louis's.

"Hahaha, you could be this." The three of them laughed.

"Ah yes then I would like to visit Oliver in the broadcasting room first. You guys just relax here, after all there's still time before the bell hasn't come in." Louis responded with a nod from Xavier and Eveline. He got off his stool and picked up the warm clothes he had taken off. He went down the stairs upstairs to the broadcasting room.

Now only Xavier and Eveline are left on the rooftop. Xavier continued to read his book that had stopped earlier, while Eveline took out a box of wine containing shine muscat that he brought from home. He did not hesitate to offer his food to Xavier.

"You want to?" Fresh Eveline.

"It's not meant to refuse, but I have an allergy so can't eat it, sorry." Xavier.

"Ah I'm sorry, I don't know."

"It's okay, it can happen."

Xavier glanced at Eveline who was eating his shine muscat wine voraciously. He looks so funny in his eyes. The amethyst-colored eyes that Eveline had and the long jet-black hair looked extremely beautiful in his opinion.

So if you're looking for answers to the rumors, the answer is true, Xavier does like Eveline. But what if he doesn't have the courage to approach her first, or maybe not?

"Evelin..." Call Xavier.

"Yes?"

"What... Are you willing to be my queen?"

In the broadcasting room, daily broadcasts have been successful. The club members seem to be done with their activities there. Likewise with Oliver who is tidying up his things.

"Oliver, for this week's material file I will send via e-mail ya."

"Thank you so much senior." Oliver told the senior at his club.

The blond girl picked up a few piles of papers strewn across the table and put them into place. Re-correct the mic and broadcast equipment that he had used.

"Have the broadcast done?" A voice that surprised Oliver.

"OH! Brother Louis makes a hanging."

"Hahaha surprised huh? Sorry."

"Her voice just cleared up, I'm getting ready to take a break." Eveline.

"This. It was through the cafeteria that I bought." Louis said as he gave Oliver a plastic bag containing a bento box, a pudding bowl, and a box of milk.

Though yes, he deliberately stopped by first before going to the broadcast room.

"Why bother so much, brother."

"Eat more than you eat in the cafeteria."

"Thank you." Oliver said with a smile.

The bento box contains various types of side dishes. Actually, the portion of the bento is very much more than what Oliver usually eats, but somehow Oliver felt very hungry at that time.

Louis just sat there and watched Oliver eat. Every now and then he wanders around in a broadcasting room that is quite foreign to him. Seen a lot of equipment for broadcasting purposes.

"There's a lot of paper here." Louis.

"Yes that's material for tomorrow's meeting." Eveline. Louis just nodded at hearing it.

"Oiya brother, today the children of the band club gave a demo of the school jingle song they made. Wanna hear?" Barat Oliver's.

"Can?"

"Can, here-here." Oliver said as he urged Louis to sit in the seat next to him. Oliver also pulled out his earphones and played the song he meant from his phone.

Paired next to the earphone Louis and next to him in his ear, the song was played. Now it is no longer a song that is the focus of a Louis Anthoni, but their distance is very close. His eyes were fixed on Oliver who was still busy eating his lunch. The iris did not even turn away from staring at Oliver for a second.

"For a jingle song they make the lyrics so beautiful, don't you think?"

Louis nodded softly, "Hm, very beautiful."

"What... Are you willing to be my queen?"

Eveline. He could not believe what his ears were hearing.

"Queen?" Eveline asked in confusion.

'Your mouth is Xavier's, there's no brake. You could say something like that.' Inner Xavier.

"HUH???! NO. I'M KIDDING. I-I don't mean just think of it as the wind passing by. Yeah, the wind's passing, haha." Xavier said as he held his nape.

Eveline who saw it only smiled while turning her face. Either the gods are on Xavier's side to save him from embarrassment, at which time the bell of the next lesson rings forcing them to return to class.

"It's bell."

"Then let's go down." Said Eveline who had tidied up her luggage and gave a gesture inviting Xavier.

"Just go first." Believe it or not, Xavier's mind was still unruly, his cheeks blushing like boiled shrimp. How could he say such a thing casually? It's crazy, where's he gonna put his face? After a while, Xavier returned to his class.
