A Story From Zinnia

A Story From Zinnia
Part 23: Morning After Wedding

The light of the morning sun entered through the window, peering at the two people who were still sleeping under their blankets. The sound of birds chirping from the courtyard beside the palace commanded them to get up.

It's 7:30 now, Liam, the bodyguard is knocking on Xavier's room door.

"Your Majesty are you awake?"

Xavier wriggled from his place, "Yes.." he replied.

"Well, your bath water will be ready in fifteen minutes." Tympano Liam.

Xavier opened his eyes, he saw Oliver who was still asleep in his arms. His hand was almost numb.

Her hand stroked the delicate hair boy on Oliver's face, "Beauty–"

"Oliver..." He said quietly with his voice still hoarse after waking up.

Oliver just scrunched his forehead and with his eyes still closed he replied softly, "Hmm???"

"Time to wake up." Xavier.

"Hmm 5 minutes more–"

"We have an appointment for an interview with one of the magazines, no, it's time to wake up." Remark.

Oliver opened his eyes, finding Xavier staring at him earlier. He could not believe his sleeping position was still the same from last night, only very close to Xavier's face.

"OK, I'M UP." Oliver was aghast and changed his position to sit down, to be honest he was just embarrassed because his face was very close to Xavier.

"Prepare, the servants will come in to prepare your clothes."

Then Xavier went into the bathroom, and sure enough some servants came in and brought them the clothes they should be wearing today.

"Thank you." Oliver told the servants before they left his room.

The servants replied, "Goodly, Your Majesty."

'Did I really become a princess?' Inner Oliver.

Oliver stepped closer to the clothes rack the servants were carrying, seeing the clothes with labels hanging and inscribed on the time of wearing them.

"For an interview session, for a lunch with the prime minister, for an afternoon tea with Women Health Community–? The Women Health Community? What organization is it?" Oliver said to himself.

"That's the organization that mom founded."

"OHH!" Oliver gasped in shock as Xavier suddenly stood behind him bare-chested and only clad in a hunch covered him from waist to knee.

"I'm done, take a shower there."

"Well, you..."

Now it's Oliver's turn to clean up. Xavier's door was knocked, "Your Majesty?"

"Who?"

"Me, Liam."

"Come in." As usual, Liam came to help Xavier get dressed. This man is very painstaking to style Xavier.

"How do you sleep, Your Majesty?" Said Liam while confirming the shirt that Xavier was wearing.

"My sleep is so good. I was really tired of welcoming guests all day yesterday."

"Thank God if Your Majesty sleeps soundly." Tympano Liam.

"What about Oliver? Has he accepted his schedule for today?"

"That's it, Your Honor. Elijah has taken care of all the schedules and clothes that the Princess must wear today."

Xavier nodded. She's done getting dressed.

"Through here, Your Majesty, the magazine is waiting for you in the meeting room." Liam pointed out the way.

"Can't I just wear the clothes I used to wear? Why bother with this!" Whine Oliver.

"Prince Xavier is waiting for you, Your Majesty." Obviously Elijah

Now Oliver was rushing to the tour to the room in question, there were many magazine staff who were ready to interview them both.

"Our respect, Your Majesty." Say the whole room when Xavier enters the room and is followed by Oliver who comes shortly after.

"Well, we can start the interview." Xavier said with a smile.

"News this morning. The best royal wedding of the decade has been completed. The wedding of the Crown Prince, Prince Xavier became the lips of the people of Zinnia. Since the announcement of their engagement in the spring of 6 months ago, Princess Oliver has seized a lot of public attention. Because for the first time in history, the candidate for crown princess came from among ordinary people. As we know, Princess Oliver Luxia de Mauren came from a low-class noble family. It's so shocking..-"

"Cihh, does this make sense? Xavier chose his wife from among the lowly nobles? Even he is not from a first class noble?! The world is completely crazy." Said Mr. Morgan watching the news that morning while drinking a cup of his morning coffee.

His daughter Eveline had just finished breakfast. He had just returned from overseas to spend his winter holidays. "Dad... Never mind, they're married and it seems they're a compatible couple."

"Isn't he your old best friend, Eveline?"

"What do you mean, Princess?"

"Whoever he is."

"Yes, we're one grade up to 3rd grade high school well. I never saw him again after graduation, just by e-mail."

"What does he and his family have? You're.... More everything than him, Eveline."

Seeing her own best friend married to someone who had expressed love for her used to make Eveline's chest a little tight. The regret is certainly in his heart, but what can be done for him who rejected Xavier first.

Before long, Louis came down from upstairs, "Sister! Are you leaving already?" Ujwr Eveline's.

"Yes, I have a practice schedule today." True, Louis has become a young doctor who is respected for his intelligence in the hospital where he now works.

"Alright, be careful on the road!" Eveline.

At first glance Louis saw the news about Oliver and Xavier on the living room TV, "It's not a dream apparently." He said while tightening his shoelaces.

"I'm leaving!" Louis.

"The two of you have known each other for quite a long time, if you can know what the differences are from each other before and after marriage?"

"I don't think it's time for me to judge, let alone that this is just our first day as a couple." Xavier.

"If according to Princess Oliver?"

"Since the first day I knew him, he's still the same and I hope it'll always be."

The reporter nodded, "The news that Princess Oliver is the first crown princess to come from an ordinary noble family has already spread across the country, what is His Majesty's response and what is His Majesty's program going forward?"

Oliver glanced at Xavier for a moment, but Xavier could only hold Oliver's hand tighter. "Of course it's a new wind for the royal family, but I hope it doesn't deter me from being closer to the people. And in the future, I ask for help from all the people of Zinnia. I can only promise that as long as I am still the daughter of all of you, I will carry out my duties as crown princess with all my heart and certainly support Xavier who is now my husband in carrying out his duties. Thank you." Thank you." Oliver ended his words with a relieved smile.

"Well then, the last question as well as the question that many people ask, especially on the internet. When can the public see the prince or the little princess of Prince Xavier's successor?"

Xavier and Oliver laugh together, they look at each other awkwardly and confused to give an answer because of the fact that let alone the child, they both have not "sleep" together.

"For that of course depends on Oliver's readiness, he who will hold 9 months and more feel the impact of postpartum. I don't matter at any time as long as Oliver is ready to be born. Don't you, honey?"

'Darling?!?!?!?' inner Oliver shouted.

"AHAHAHA of course." Oliver's laughter was awkward.

"Well let's end today's interview session, thank you for your cooperation, Your Majesty. Respect to us."

Their schedule this morning went well. The magazine was out of the room, Oliver also released Xavier's grip that had made his hands sweat from the beginning. "You're good at answering questions too." Xavier.

"You forgot, I graduated the best communication science from the best university of Zinnia. At least I have good question and answer skills." Obviously Oliver.

Xavier raised both eyebrows and nodded, "May as well."
