A Story From Zinnia

A Story From Zinnia
Part 26: The Ring

"Good morning, Mr. Morgan." Said Mr. Alfonso.

"Oh! Mr Prime Minister! Good morning, how are you?"

"Of course it's good, you alone?"

"Very good." Both are shaking hands with each other now.

"I heard your daughter just came back from abroad?"

"A, Eveline? Yeah, he just finished his studies." Obviously Mr. Morgan.

"It's a pleasure, no, now your two sons have reunited."

Mr. Morgan chuckled, "Very happy for sure."

"Let's go in, the others may have been waiting."

Zinnia monthly meeting is again held. All the ministers and officials had already emblazoned in the meeting room of the deoan part of the palace as usual. They are now waiting for King Arthur and Prince Xavier to begin the meeting.

Soon, "King Arthur and Prince Xavier have arrived!" Said a bodyguard with his floor from outside the room.

"Open the door!" All those present stood up and bowed respectfully.

King Arthur came in and sat down in his chair, "Let's start the meeting." Said King Arthur.

This routine activity is always done every month, and for this time their main topic is about the rebellion that occurred at the border a few days ago.

"On the rebellion... I already know the roots." King Arthur opened the conversation.

"They demanded independence because they could not get the attention of the government. The situation on the ground is also very concerning, how could such a Prime Minister be?."

"This is how the border areas do not have adequate access, moreover the area is a military area that is difficult to reach."

"How can I say the territory is difficult to access if I myself can set foot there? If it's hard then your job is to make access easier?"

"I'm sorry, but we don't think there are any people living in such remote areas."

"Don't blame them for the circumstances if the point of fault is in our own sense of indifference." Obviously King Arthur.

Xavier who saw his father was not in a good mood immediately took over,

"They are all refugees of war. They are native to the region, but when there is military aggression they are required to evacuate to safer areas. But after the war was over, those without a decent place would inevitably return to where they came from. Where the area is no longer habitable." Xavier.

"How can it be like that, Minister of Defense?" King Arthur suddenly asked.

Mr Morgan who had listened to the meeting was quite surprised when asked suddenly, "Eh? Ah.... Uhmm-"

"You don't know the answer, do you? When our military sleeps comfortably in their barracks, there are people who have to sleep in uninhabitable homes without roofs. Then you can ignore it, can you?"

"I'm sorry, Your Majesty. We'll pay more attention."

"I don't need your promises, but real evidence. There are still a lot of problems I have to deal with"

Everyone looked down to King Arthur, "The people pay taxes, and the money they give back to them to ensure their welfare, their salvation. You guys want to eat blind pay?"

"No, Your Majesty." Say everything at once.

"Minister of finance." Call King Arthur.

"Yes, Your Majesty?"

"Locate funds for the rebuilding of their villages and the construction of school facilities and hospitals located there. And give them immediate help, right now that's what they need most."

"Okay, Your Majesty."

"Wait for the report, give it to Elthon a maximum of 2 weeks from now"

"Good."

"Health minister."

"Yes, sire?"

"Since there is no hospital nearby, send doctors and other medical personnel and volunteers to check their health as soon as possible."

"Okay, Your Majesty."

"Now start reporting your work a month back." Says King Arthur.

"What's wrong with him today?" Said Mr. Morgan after the meeting was over.

Now the officials were out of the room and were gathering in the front yard to chat with each other.

"His mood is not good."

"Is he high blood?"

"Did you see that Xavier all the way through the meeting?"

"It seems like a king." Tympanum Mr. Morgan.

"true."

When these officials have not returned home entirely, Oliver and Elijah accidentally pass near there and he did not forget to say hello there.

"Hello..." He said softly while bowing respectfully.

"Oh, Mr. Princess Oliver. Respect to us." Everyone bowed back his greetings.

"Can it be done?" Ask curiously.

"That's it, Your Honor. Just got."

"You are so beautiful when you see your Majesty in person." Praise those officials.

"Fuck you, you're so pretty."

"Thank you for the compliment." Oliver smiled as he closed his mouth timidly.

"ah! Has anyone seen Xavier? I-I mean Prince Xavier."

"He's gone inside, Your Majesty."

"That's so... Then I say goodbye first. Drug-" Oliver rushed back inside.

"Your Majesty wait!" Elijah.

The officials simply broke in as Oliver walked out from in front of them.

"Basic of the newlyweds."

"But fortunately Xavier, his wife was quite beautiful. Didn't you?"

"Rubber."

When Mr. Morgan saw Oliver, he saw a sneaky idea in his mind, "Wouldn't it be more exciting if we were to disturb the calm water?"

"What do you mean?" Said his partner.

"She is beautiful, but quite careless. You see the ring on his finger?"

"Ring?"

Others shook their heads, "I don't think the Princess is wearing a ring."

Mr. Morgan smiled slylyly, "God, don't you bother if any paparazzi see it."

"Surely soon the rumors will appear on the internet."

"Xavier!" call Oliver.

"Oliver, what's wrong?"

"Nothing, just looking for you. The meeting's over, huh?"

"Yes, just now. Why?"

Oliver shook his head, "So I accidentally passed by the front palace and greeted the ministers who had not yet returned."

"really? Tumben..."

"Why? I just want to get to know them."

"No need, just talk to them as necessary."

"Why indeed?"

"They are good and some are not. But most of them are petty."

"Husssh, it can't be that."

"What a hell" Xavier stopped when he realized one thing, Oliver wasn't wearing his ring, "Where's your ring?"

"My ring? Ohh-in the room, I took off when I took a shower earlier." Obviously Oliver.

Xavier sighed, "Listen-although the ring makes you uncomfortable try not to be taken off. You know, in this palace there are no secrets. Gossip can spread like smoke. You don't want to be a servant's gossip, do you?"

"It's just a ring."

"It's because it's just a ring. From the wedding ring alone they can uncover obscure rumors and assume strange ones." Xavier.

Oliver pursed his lips, "Alright I'll take it to the room."

Oliver runs back, followed by Elijah behind him.

"OLIVER!" Xavier.

Oliver looked back, "Yes?"

"Do you want some tea in the garden pavilion?" Xavier's Bargain.

Oliver smiled and nodded in agreement, then returned to his room.
