A Story From Zinnia

A Story From Zinnia
Section 3: Meaning of Name

The next day Xavier went to school accompanied by a few bodyguards. Like his father's promise of guarding today is not too strict. At least now he can move more freely. The aide to the father's trust remained faithful standing one step right beside him.

As usual, when he got to school, the other students saluted by bowing to him. Xavier begins to get used to his school routine this time around. He arrived at his class, and did not forget to say hello to his classmates.

Xavier put his bag on his stool. Soon Louis came and sat on the bench in front of Xavier like yesterday. According to him, Louis is a cold figure but very happy to joke and somehow he does not easily smile. As is the case now, Louis just sat down without further ado greeting him who was clearly sitting right behind him.

"Hi Louis! Good morning!" Xavier said as he patted Louis on the shoulder in front of him.

"Morning." Reply Louis. His voice sounded more lethargic than yesterday.

"Your voice sounds lethargic, are you sick?"

"No, Your Majesty, I'm just sleepy. Let me sleep a little." Louis answered, now resting his head on the table.

"All right." Xavier said faintly.

A few minutes later the bell rang, signaling the lesson was about to begin. A young teacher who seemed to be in his mid-thirties walked in and greeted the others, "Good morning kids!"

"Good morning professor!"

The teacher took out a package of maths lessons. He turned the pages of his book, too,

"Okay, open your package book page 22. We'll try to do some practice."

As long as you know, although he is more inclined towards art, but mathematics is Xavier's favorite lesson. He prefers counting lessons rather than memorization like history lessons. But in contrast to Louis, he prefers memorizing rather than working on a count that he thinks makes his head dizzy seven circumference.

There was nothing special during the lesson, only the professor seemed very reliable when explaining. Then the bell rang, a sign of class change. The next lesson is sports lessons, a favorite lesson of many students in school. The students rushed to go to the toilet to change their clothes, and put them in their lockers downstairs.

All rushed to the middle of the room where a teacher clad in a whistle was waiting for them. The weather today seems to be very good for exercise. All the students of Class 2-A lined up neatly on that vast sports field.

After the warm-up, they all ran around the field twice. This time the sport is baseball. It's no secret that Zinnia excels at baseball. Usut has a mouthwash, its history starts from the late king who really liked this game, to become popular among the public.

Everyone played with joy and excitement. The sound of cheers from the audience bench made the match even more exciting to follow. Everything was fixed on the game, until it was not realized the lesson hour was over. The teacher who taught is now disbanding the lesson. All the students returned to class, changed their clothes and then rushed to lunch.

Xavier now walks from the cafeteria after buying a box of vanilla milk and his favorite meat sandwich. While heading to class, his steps stopped when he saw Louis sitting pensively on the spectator bench on the sports field. Xavier also approached him.

"No rest?" Ask Xavier curiously.

"Oh Your Majesty." Said Louis who gasped from his daydream.

"I told you there's no need to call me 'Your Majesty' if it's in the school environment, just call me Xavier."

"Ah yes, I mean Xavier." Louis nodded.

"Why are you daydreaming? Is something thought?" Xavier asked while drinking the milk he bought.

"none. It's just, it's in my mind to be a baseball player when I grow up."

"Gee... You want to be an athlete?"

"Okay, my father would never have allowed it."

"Hey... This is your life, why ask someone else for permission. You can be anything you want to be, and I see you were quite talented at the game. It's too bad you wasted your talent, don't you think?"

"I hope so." Louis sounded gloomy.

"Why didn't your father let you be an athlete?"

"My father wanted me to be a government employee, to be a minister, just like he would be."

"Minister?"

"Yes, my father now serves as defense minister."

"AH! You mean Mr Morgan?"

"Yes, he's my father"

True as Xavier guessed, Louis belonged to a noble family. He came from a prestigious family.

Shortly afterwards, a little girl called out to Louis.

"SISTER LOUIS!" Said the girl while waving her hand. The girl then ran towards the intended name.

"Oh Eveline, don't run around like this, you can fall."

"Hehehe, why is big brother here? Already eaten?"

"Of course I have, and yes introduce your classmates." Louis introduced Xavier to his younger brother.

Eveline looked at the person before her, her face looking familiar in her mind.

"Eveline salute, he's Prince Xavier." Louis' whisper in Eveline's ear.

"IS HE A PRINCE??! FORGIVE ME YOUR MAJESTY." Eveline was surprised instead of playing, being able to see the prince up close felt like a dream. Now he can only be ashamed.

"It's okay." Xavier chuckled, according to him this girl in front of him was quite funny, very different from Louis who he thought looked fierce.

"Xavier, meet my sister, Eveline Alexandra Gilbert. He's from 1-A."

"Sincerely, Your Majesty." Eveline said as she performed curtsy.

"Greetings, Eveline."

They smile at each other. But before long, there was the voice of another girl calling out to Eveline, "EVELINE! EVELINE! Here you look." Said the girl panting after running.

"Oh, Oliver. What the hell are you here for?" Louis asked curiously.

"We were just from the cafeteria, but Eveline suddenly came here running really fast, and I chased after him." Oliver said, now exhausted.

"Hey Oliver, pay respect to him." Eveline said as she pointed at Xavier with her five fingers.

"RESpectively?"

"Prince?" Now Oliver watches Xavier from the end of the shoe to the head.

"His appearance is not like a prince-"

"It's been a quick salute." Eveline said as she lashed Oliver's back slowly.

"Sincerely, Your Majesty."

"I'm sorry, Your Honor. Sometimes this guy doesn't know manners."

"Hey! What did you say???!"

"There's no need to fight. Xavier, he's a classmate of my brother, his name is Oliver Luxia de Mauren." Louis introduced Oliver to Xavier.

"Greetings, Oliver."

"By the way, what are the brothers and princes doing here?" Ask Eveline curiously.

"We were just talking while paying attention. You alone? What business is it coming to big brother?"

"Nothing, I just passed by earlier hehe."

"Lying, just tell me you want to meet the prince, right? Aren't you???" Oliver said as he mocked Eveline, who was now flushed like boiled shrimp.

"WHERE IS IT!"

"Based on this, let's go back to class. The break time is over anyway."

"Ah yes, brother."

"Come on Xavier, we're going to class." Take Louis to Xavier.

"Ohh, okay."

"When you go home to school, don't go anywhere. Me and the driver won't wait if you're late, do you understand Eveline?" Louis.

"Ready brother!."

"Then brother first."

Louis now goes to class with Xavier. Eveline and Oliver return to class.

"Hey Louis, your sister's funny, too. He has eyes that look like you."

"really? I think she's sweet too. But unfortunately a little annoying." Louis chuckled as he discussed his sister.

Classes also began. The rest of the lesson today wasn't very interesting to follow. The students were waiting for the bell to ring. Just like Xavier, he doesn't really understand art.

Xavier arrived at the palace, as usual the servants greeted him. Liam, the nanny and personal assistant of the prince, also helped her change clothes as usual. Nothing has changed, just the atmosphere of the palace is calm or arguably quiet as usual.

Xavier now sits in a side garden, his favorite place to relax after school. Accompanied by some of his favorite snacks and history books. The breezy wind that blows from the west touches his white cheeks, giving a cool atmosphere that is perfect for relaxing.

"Prince, Your Majesty the King is coming." Whisper Liam who had been standing next to the garden chair.

"Oh dad, what's up?"

King Arthur now sat down beside Xavier, "It seems that you are relaxing? How was school today?" There was not a single day that the king did not worry about his youngest son, especially now that Xavier went to a new place and was quite foreign to him.

"Nothing special, just learning and learning... Oh yeah well I met the youngest daughter of the Gilbert family, she's my sister my friend who I told you yesterday well, Louis."

"really? So her youngest daughter went to school there too?"

"Yes yeah, she's very pretty. Her name is Eveline, her eyes are purple like amethyst diamonds."

"Dad's wondering what your friends are like."

"And also I met his friend Eveline, they were classmates. She's a blonde girl from the de Mauren family, Oliver's name is."

"Father had heard the surname de Mauren. The name sounds beautiful."

"What does yah mean?"

"Which means? Oliver Meaning?"

"Yes yeah"

"Oliver means a symbol of peace, pride and beauty. Described as kind and affectionate."

"Oh wow so beautiful. What does my name mean??"

Understandably, this young prince was still at a curious age of all things.

"Xavier means a person who is always blessed, calm, brilliant, passionate, hardworking, and magnificent. Your father and mother used to hope that you would be a person who is always blessed, brilliant and a role model for many people. Your middle name, Hellen, is disguised from your mother's surname, and the last from my father's surname, Rayton."

"I never thought my name was that good."

"of course. Each name has a meaning, filled with the expectations of the person who gave the name. You know the history of our royal name Zinnia?"

"I've read it in books, the name Zinnia comes from the name of the flower. That's right, dad? Zinnia flowers can be found easily in our country."

"real son. Zinnia is taken from the name of the flower that blooms in our country. Zinnia flowers can grow quickly and bloom heavily. Zinnia has the meaning of respect and praise, in the hope that our kingdom can be respected and praised by other kingdoms. Zinnia also means affection, friendship, memories, and eternal love. Our ancestors named him Zinnia so that anyone who leaves this country can remember Zinnia as a place full of cases of affection and memories, like a sweet farewell."

"It's so cool, yeah."

"Not only that these flowers are many benefits, wherever these flowers are planted, they will always provide beauty and cheerfulness by their diverse colors. No wonder this flower became her friend butterflies. Beautiful isn't?"

"Beautiful. Very beautiful dad!" Xavier was amazed to hear the father's explanation.

Not only Xavier, but Liam, Elthon the king's secretary who stood not far from there and some of the servants who were there were also amazed to hear the explanation from King Arthur. The explanation of the king makes it sound hundreds of times awesome.

"Not only the meaning of the name Zinnia is beautiful, but also this country. Look at the landscape we have, it's really beautiful. But unfortunately, a lot of people from other countries want our country, son. As a result, there is still a lot of cold war happening to this day."

Xavier. True, since the first many countries around the world who want to seize Zinnia. Not only because of its natural beauty, but natural resources and advanced technology make Zinnia a grab for many people.

"But it's your turn and your brother, Nathaniel, who will be in charge of protecting our Zinnia. Do not let them ruin the beauty of Zinnia that we have guarded for centuries. You got that, Xavier?"

"I understand, father."
