A Story From Zinnia

Part 11: Zinnia Air Force

Upon his arrival, the soldiers prepared and gathered in the field. With just a command, they were already very ready to take off. This was the first time Nathaniel had served as a commando directly commanded by his father. Very stressful, he thought.

"Ship 501 of the Calendula state, we command you to withdraw and bring back your troops. Once again, Calendula's warship 501, we're ordering a retreat." King Arthur said over the radio from his ship.

"Report, how is this general? They told us to step back, change." Say the other party to their superior.

"Launch fire, target the main ship, there's their king." Said the superior.

"But the general, the number of their ships is more"

And at that time the warplanes from the opposite direction began to arrive.

"We warn that a single shot fired from your side means you agree to fight." King Arthur said firmly.

"Prepare our fighter aircraft." The Edict of King Arthur.

When the order was launched, Nathaniel and his army prepared to take off. They all boarded the warplanes and headed straight for the Nirwana Sea.

"What do you want?" King Arthur said to the other side. No answer from them.

The Calendula was hesitant to launch a shot even though he had been ordered to shoot. How not, the number of their ships was not comparable. Many Zinnia warships are not playing. Plus the fighter planes that have arrived.

"KUBILANG SHOOT THE KING!" Command of the opposing party.

"Prepare the cannons!" Said the captain of the enemy ship.

"Contact the air force, we'll fight their attack from the air first."

The Zinnia fighter plane was already pacing in the sky. Chasing each other with Calendula's fighter plane is not how much.

"Canon fire!" The captain's command of the opposing ship.

"SHOOT CANNON!"

With a sentence, war ensued and the hard-earned peace these two countries have maintained. Compared to other countries around it, Zinnia does have an unpleasant history with Calendula in the past. Their invasion decades ago to fight over territory in the east, made its own wounds for the citizens of Zinnia. But Zinnia managed to defend their territory, and after that the situation in Zinnia developed rapidly both in terms of technology and economy.

"Air force, prepare to fire on their battleships after their second cannon is fired." Said King Arthur.

"Roger, sir!" Nathaniel said from his fighter radio.

The second cannon fired. Like the king's strategy, the resistance is done from the air first. After the third shot, the order to fire the cannon from the battleship Zinnia was carried out.

Actually it did not take long to destroy the enemy ship, but somehow the other party was very stupid and did not want to retreat.

"Captain report, there was a leak in the ship and damage to the front. What are we supposed to do? Replace." Said a crew member of the opposing ship.

"Damn it... Report to the main headquarters!"

Calendula had no choice but to retreat, there was no point in them firing cannons at the Zinnia side. Their advanced ships have strong endurance in fact.

"Captain..."

"Yes, General? Replace." The voice from the voice across there was captured by the radio of Calendula's fighter jet that was speeding through the air.

"Who is leading the fighter from their side?"

"We warn you to order Calendula's fighters to retreat again." King Arthur told their ship's radio.

"Otherwise they do?!" Said King Arthur who looked angry.

Along with the retreat of the battleship Calendula, the battleship Daja Arthur boarded returned to the dock and the rest stood guard in the waters. He rushed to the military air base which was far enough from the dock using his Jeep. So there is an emergency mode, where nothing prevents his Jeep car from driving on the streets, with the aim of speeding up travel time.

King Arthur now arrives at the airbase, he goes straight to the traffic control tower. He saw where the plane went from the radar that appeared on the screen. The planes are over the forest.

"Zinnia air force, I command you to return to base. It's decree! Once again, the Zinnia air force returned to base." At that time there was a feeling of sadness and anger felt by King Arthur.

But before long, the point of the plane radiating on the radar away from the forest area and approached the base. There was a slight sense of calm throughout King Arthur's body, though two Calendula planes that had not yet retreated and a Zinnia plane that appeared to be flanked by the two opposing planes.

"Report, the Zinnia 01 fighter is trapped by the opposing plane, replace it."

"01...? Who's driver?" Ask King Arthur.

There was a pause of about 5 seconds before King Arthur received an answer to his question,

"....Prince Nathaniel, Your Majesty."

The atmosphere in the gripping tower adds to the tense atmosphere. King Arthur who heard the answer was surprised instead of playing. He held onto his forehead which suddenly became dizzy, deeply worried about the possibilities that were happening there.

"Nathaniel back to base NOW!" But the orders were not heeded.

In fact Nathaniel is still circling over the forest area. He saw the points of the plane from the radar, and found the opposing plane that began to scatter to surround Nathaniel from the front and rear, he said,

"FOR GOD-NATHANIEL TO GET OUT OF THERE RIGHT NOW!" Shouts of King Arthur.

Despite being contacted many times, Nathaniel did not give an answer via his radio.

Now King Arthur saw the situation directly through the surveillance camera monitor. Unceasingly, the order to return was thrown. But nil, Nathaniel's condition is getting dangerous up there.

Suddenly the radio in the tower caught the incoming sound. Nathaniel's voice came from across there,

"D-DAD..."

"Dad... L'm... Must.... H-how?... A-Dad... M-excuse.. My A-ku. I can't be... The K-Captain... B-well..." His voice falters.

"Nathaniel, for god's sake return to headquarters now!"

The plane entered the mountains. It would be very difficult to receive a radio signal there.

"Nathaniel-Reply me! Nathaniel!" King Arthur's face was already very agitated.

"How is this Your Majesty?" Ask Elthon.

"Send reinforcements NOW!"

For God's sake, Nathaniel made it difficult for them to escape or even avoid them. Several times the bullets were fired, thankfully he managed to dodge. But his mind was screwed up instead of playing, he was scared to death.

The place is now very far from the reach of the military, although the reinforcements sent will take time to get here. In the end, Nathaniel's plane was shot down in the right wing, making it difficult to control. Want to not want the plane to drift and get down to the bottom.

The second bullet hit the left wing of Nathaniel's plane. Nathaniel felt the time was not much before he fell, he tried as much as possible to grab a small radio embedded in his left chest while still trying to make the plane stable, but now multiple shots hit the fuselage.

"NATHANIEL-NATHANIEL PLEASE HOLD ON!"

"Once again forgive me for disappointing my father and Zinnia, please take care of Xavier.... I-I love you guys... Very-"

There was a huge explosion after the message. Everyone in the tower room was shocked and there was a look of disbelief on their faces.

"Nathaniel? Nathaniel?! NATHANIEL?!!"

At 15:57 local time, fighter 01 Zinnia was declared down and exploded on the spot with the driver who was already unassisted.
