A Story From Zinnia
Part 21: Royal Wedding

The wedding day arrived. Xavier and Oliver's wedding will begin at nine in the morning at Zinnia Cathedral. The wedding will be attended by more than 1,900 invited guests and witnessed by more than 2,500,000 Zinnia residents who come to church pages from all over the country. The wedding was broadcast by various national and private TV stations. The greatest wedding of the decade.

Oliver had prepared from the morning blind, he and his entourage spent the night at Cassania Palace from yesterday afternoon. His cousins are present as bridesmaids. For her wedding, though, she wore a white dress of silk coated with 500 jewel details on her chest and 2500 pearls in her skirt covered in twinkling lace added a graceful impression to Oliver. Not to forget the veil dress of satin material along the 6.78 meters that will be taken to lead her over the altar. For the headdress he wore a veil covering his face and a tiara left by Queen Issabela which is now revealed to be his.

For the groom, Xavier wore his official military uniform plus his beret. He looked dashing after his semi-suit that day. The combination of navy and black is perfect for him.

Both brides-to-be are now nervous not to play. They were waiting in their own waiting rooms. There were still a few minutes left before their motorcade prepared to leave to take them from Cassania Palace to the church.

Suddenly the door to Xavier's waiting room is knocked from the outside, and it turns out that Oliver's father, Mr. Eden, is visiting him.

“Oh please come in, sir.”

"Have you finished preparing Your Majesty?" Ask Mr. Eden.

“Yes, I'm done.”

"I've only met you in person a few times, there's not much time for us to get to know each other even if you're my son-in-law now. But I'm sure you can take good care of my daughter.” Said Mr. Eden.

"I'm sorry sir, I should have taken the time to meet you more often." Xavier.

“What's wrong, I understand him. You are a busy man, Your Majesty. I just wanted to say that.... You got my blessing." Mr. Eden hung up his words before he continued speaking.

Netra Xavier is now focused on looking at her future father-in-law, the blessing of the parents of the prospective bride is clearly very important, this makes Xavier's heart really filled. "I bless you both. I entrust my only daughter to you, Xavier.”

Xavier. Somehow his heart felt warm at that moment, even his eyes almost shed tears.

"I am not good at speaking, so I write it in words. I hope you read it before you go to church.”

Mr. Eden gave Xavier a letter and patted him on the shoulder slowly. Mr. Eden smiled at Xavier before he exited the waiting room.

Xavier, who now lives alone in the room, sat down and read the letter given to him earlier.

"To the venerable Prince Xavier, the,

I don't know what to call my future daughter-in-law.

First of all, I want to congratulate you both on your marriage. I know this marriage is something very surprising to both of you. But I hope you become a couple who get along and love each other, until death do you part.

Oliver grew up without his mother's affection, but I admit I managed to raise him well. The older she is, the more, she is very similar to her mother. He never once complained about not having a mother, he said that with me alone was enough for him. Although a little stubborn like me, but she is still a good girl.

Letting her go to marry the man of her choice was really not easy for me, even though she was a prince once. Right, he chose to marry you. He rounded up his courage to marry into a first-class noble family, the direct lineage of the king of Zinnia.

Oliver has a dream of becoming a journalist, he studied hard in order to graduate faster than his college. He likes social activities, but sometimes he also needs time to be alone. She is a beautiful and cheerful girl with millions of dreams, but I think her dreams should be buried to be by your side. She's more mature than I thought, but in my eyes Oliver's still a little girl who's happy to carry her beloved doll every time we go.

Xavier's. If he's having trouble with palace life, please help him. He's a kid who learns fast. He doesn't like spicy food, and he loves coffee, but please remind him not to drink too much. I hope you remember. And one more thing, don't let her cry alone, accompany her. I just wish you'd never make her cry.

From now on live happily with your little family. I respect the relationship between you two.

Greetings, Oliver's father, please,

Eden Philip de Mauren.”

The procession starts from the Cassania Palace through a large road until it finally reaches the Cathedral Church. The people present at that time were already very impatient to see the royal couple. Xavier got there first, got off his dating train and waved his hand to the people present at the time, accompanied by his cousin, Aiden Abigail Rayton, he walked into the church. Inside the church there were many invited guests present, they all immediately stood up to welcome the prince.

Then King Arthur's chariot arrived. It was followed by Oliver's carriage. Oliver got off his dating train assisted by several maids holding his 6.78-meter-long robe. His presence was enthusiastically welcomed by the citizens of Zinnia.

Oliver walked on the altar with a bouquet of Calla Lily flowers in his hand. After he entered the church, everyone standing there made Oliver even more nervous. Church songs are also played.

"You nervous?" Ask Mr. Eden to his daughter.

Oliver simply replied with a slow nod.

"No need to be nervous, I'll always be by your side." Said Mr. Eden soothingly.

Get them in front of the priest and it's time for Mr. Eden to release Oliver to Xavier. Mr. Eden let go of his daughter's arm and handed Oliver's hand to Xavier.

“I trust my daughter to you." Said Mr. Eden who answered a small nod by Xavier. Then Mr. Eden went to the guest seat, in the front row right next to King Arthur.

The ceremony began. The priest who stood in front of Xavier and Oliver began a series of blessings.

"Gentlemen, on this happy day we gather and are united to witness one of the historical sacred events in Zinnia, the marriage of Xavier Hellen Rayton and Oliver Luxia de Mauren. To the two brides are welcome to face each other." Said the priest.

Now Xavier and Oliver are facing each other by holding both hands. Iris met, and Xavier could only smile at the woman in front of him,

“Please say a sacred promise to your partner. Bridegroom is welcome first.” At this time the bride is making a promise to be together for a lifetime.

"In the presence of God, Zinnia, our parents, and everyone present here. I, Xavier Hellen Rayton, take you, Oliver Luxia de Mauren be my wife to have and care for each other, to love and cherish each other, in times of trouble and pleasure, of health and sickness, rich and poor, from now to forever until death do us part." Xavier finished his promise.

"To the bride is welcome." It was Oliver's turn.

But his mouth was heavy for a brush, his heart was heavy for saying, the words he wanted to convey only stopped at the tip of his tongue to make him daydream for a few seconds.

"Woman? Please." Repeat the priest.

”In front of god, Zinnia, our parents, and everyone present here. I-i.

There was a pause before Oliver continued his words. Xavier who saw there was doubt in Oliver's eyes gave a look as if everything would be fine to him.

"I, Oliver Luxia de Mauren, take you Xavier Hellen Rayton to be my husband to have and care for, love and respect each other, in times of trouble and pleasure, health and illness, rich and poor, from now to forever until death do us part." Oliver managed to keep his promise.

"Please put on the wedding ring." Said the priest.

Now Xavier pairs the ring on the ring finger of Oliver's left hand as a symbol of the bond of marriage, as well as Oliver.

"On the presence of God among us, I declare you as a married couple." Said the priest to the applause of the guests present.

"To the groom, welcome to open your partner's veil."

Xavier opened the hood of Oliver's face slowly, now Oliver's beautiful face was clearly visible in Xavier's eyes.

"Please kiss the bride." Keep the priest.

Xavier who understood that Oliver was still embarrassed to do such a thing ended up just peeking his forehead short, but still the reaction of the guests was no less great.

After the ceremony was over, they walked down the altar together. Greet the guests on their right and left.

Afterwards they went to the balcony of the church and greeted the people present and were waiting for them from this morning. At least now Oliver can breathe fresh air, because he felt very tight inside earlier.

No one was unhappy to see them at that time. All the people were happy to welcome the crown prince and their new crown princess. When it was finished, Xavier and Oliver walked out of the church to the ready-made carriage. They're going back to Cassania Palace.

Along the way, residents were unceasingly waving to the newlyweds. There was a strange feeling in Oliver's mind, but he liked this feeling. This strange feeling subconsciously made her put on a smile on her face.

The newlyweds finally arrived at Cassania Palace, which will now be their home. After the wedding ceremony, the next activity is a photo session together. The entire Rayton family gathered for pictures, most of which Oliver was not familiar with. Because King Arthur himself had two younger brothers, each of whom had offspring as well.

After a photo session with the extended family, there is a nuclear family. Just King Arthur, Mr. Edan, Xavier and Oliver. The four of them took photos together to commemorate this event later in life.

Afterwards, the entire extended family returned to their residence. Mr. Eden also said goodbye to his favorite daughter. It is Xavier and Oliver who decide to rest in Xavier's room, which has now become their room.

The marriage of Xavier and Oliver begins.
