A Story From Zinnia
Section 30: Uninvited Guests

"Isn't that Eveline?" The whispers of a woman to another woman next to her.

"Right, he's Eveline. Mr. Morgan's stepson." The woman's timpal.

"I heard that Prince Xavier was in a relationship with her first."

"REALLY?" Ask the other woman who doesn't believe.

"True, the rumors are so– even if only for a moment."

"Wahh I didn't think..."

"And reportedly the four of them are friends in school first."

The other woman approached, and whispered, "So did Princess Oliver snatch Prince Xavier from Eveline?"

"Hushy! Keep your words– Your head can be beheaded if it says that."

"I just asked."

The four companions gathered at one point and they instantly became the center of attention. There was a look of strangeness and ignorance on the other faces, because they did not expect the three noble families to be able to establish relations in a long time like this.

Xavier ignored their chatter, after all he was used to being the subject of many people's gossip. He was just a little worried about his friends and Oliver who would feel a little uncomfortable.

"What if we move to the front pavilion?" Take Xavier.

The others nodded and began to walk after Xavier to the pavilion that was outside and not far from the main hall.

.......

"Is it okay for you to leave the other guests like this? You're the main star tonight." Louis.

"No problem, the main event has already passed." Xavier Reply.

"True, after all, we haven't been together like this in a long time, have we?" Timpal Oliver's.

Late, these four friends also dissolved in their chatter. They talk about a lot of things, this and that.

"Ah yes, I heard Louis is already a young doctor. Really Louis?" Ask Xavier.

"That's how... I just finished my studies, and by the end of this month I'll be volunteering at the border medics for six months." Obviously Louis.

"Great once–" Oliver said.

Louis chuckled, "It's nothing, Your Majesty. I'm just doing my job."

Oliver sighed, "Huh.... I also want to help those in need by jumping straight into the field."

"Without such a need, you've been an inspiration to so many." Louis's words were soothing.

Not long after that, a firework was lit. It formed a beautiful explosion and illuminated the Zinnia night sky. Some of the guests in the hall came out of the room to see the fireworks more clearly. There was the sound of their cheerful cheers from the balcony of the second floor of the hall.

The four friends who were still in the pavilion were also pitched to the sky, enjoying the beauty of the fireworks game.

"The fireworks are already lit." Xavier.

"Beautiful.." said Eveline.

Ten, twenty, thirty times the fireworks make beautiful shapes in the night sky.

Xavier who was looking towards the sky realized that there was someone walking towards the four of them. That's Liam.

"Sincerely, Your Majesty." Liam.

"Liam what's wrong?" Xavier wondered what was going on until his bodyguards caught up with him.

Liam approached and whispered in his master's ear, "Mr Nathan and his family are coming to the party tonight, Your Majesty."

"What??!! Who invited him?" Xavier's eyes glared in disbelief.

Louis, Eveline, and Oliver were just listening from the side. They think that something is going on.

"Did you know?" Changed again.

"They are meeting the King." Answer Liam.

Xavier doesn't believe in any of this. He did not expect his uncle would come to an important event owned by his wife. 'Damn it. It will definitely end noisily.' her inner.

"Oliver's with me." Xavier said to take his wife away.

"E-Eh? B-Good."

"Louis, Eveline, I have to go. You two enjoy this show. Don't forget to taste the dishes." Connect Xavier.

The two nodded in unison, "Okay, Your Majesty."

With Liam trailing behind the two, Xavier and Oliver stumbled towards the main hall. Oliver himself doesn't know what's really going on.

"What is this Xavier?" Ask Oliver.

"My uncle came to the palace." Answer Xavier.

"Which uncle? Prince Dominick or Mr Nathan??" Ask Oliver curiously.

"you reckon? Which other uncle would make me panic like this from his arrival?"

In Oliver's mind there was only one name that came to mind, 'No way Mr Nathan right?'

Xavier and Oliver arrive in a sealed room on the third floor of the hall. Xavier saw that his father and uncle were indeed speaking. However, he could feel the tense atmosphere even from a distance. Not only his uncle, he can see the wife of his uncle and his cousin, Lucas.

...(.(.Lucas Van Meyer - )...

Oliver understands how to read the situation, he believes the arrival of Mr. Nathan and his family without notice is not a good thing. Oliver believes that the palace did not consider this could happen at his ceremony.

The two men now approached where King Arthur and his brother were standing.

"Xavier! My nephew! How are you?" Lord Nathan greeted Xavier with a cheerful tone to the point that he forgot the royal manners.

Xavier and Oliver return the greeting by simply bowing their heads.

"I'm fine, uncle. Uncle himself how are you?" Xavier said.

"Uncle feels so good because it turns out you still think I'm your uncle." Tymphal Mr. Nathan.

There was a short silence afterwards, Xavier himself had been a long time since he had last seen his uncle. Maybe 10 or 15 years ago? I don't know, who remembers.

Xavier glanced at the father, as if asking "What is uncle here for, well?"

"Greetings Mr. Nathan, ma'am, and.... Hmm– young lord." To be honest he did not know what to call his cousin-in-law, he should not call him 'prince' but it would be awkward if only to mention his name directly.

"Lantas– what are you doing here, Nathan?" King Arthur said firmly.

"Oh brother, there's no need to be stiff like that. Me and the family were not present at Xavier's wedding with his wife, shouldn't I have come to this welcoming ceremony to give my blessing as well?" Obviously Mr. Nathan.

"I don't remember that I invited you to this event. And besides my son and daughter-in-law don't need your blessings." King Arthur's intonation sounded increasingly assertive.

Xavier and Oliver just glanced at each other, they were stuck in a serious and tense situation like this.

"HA-HA-HA I'm sorry. Anyway, me, Lucas and my wife just want to see your beautiful daughter-in-law, Brother William."

"Uncle, watch your attitude." Xavier Assertive.

Xavier was a little infuriated by his uncle's behavior who completely forgot the manners of the palace. Calling him without the name 'Prince' or 'His Majesty' at a formal event attended by many people and now he calls his father's birth name like that. 'Where is his manners?' inner Xavier.

"This cousin of mine is already big, to the point that the little boy I know of the dissidents used to start paying attention to the palace's rules." His ejek.

"Xavier was never a dissident like you, Nathan." King Arthur's Kimpal.

"really? Does that mean only my memories?" Said Mr. Nathan in a dismissive tone.

"Dear, anyways we're here to see the newlyweds, right?" Mr. Nathan's wife is now starting to speak.

"Right, too, to the point that we're idling it–" Mr. Nathan and his wife are now looking towards Oliver. Oliver could feel the fur sitting all over his body standing up.

...(.(.Nathan Hendery Rayton)...

"Didn't she look like you, Emily? Looks beautiful, graceful, and has the aura of a simple girl." Said Mr. Nathan.

"Really darling... You forget, this girl also comes from a lowly family like me. But he was accepted with great courtesy by the court and the people, but not by me."

"GUARD YOUR MOUTH!" The words of King Arthur.

Oliver was aghast, he took one step back to hide behind Xavier's back.

King Arthur approached and held his finger up to Mr. Nathan, "You and your wife have no right to insult my son-in-law. If you want to mess up, you'd better all go home before I kick you out!"

"Silence, calm.... Is this how you entertain guests, dear King Arthur?" Said Mr. Nathan.

"You guys. Nope. Guests. Yang. Invited. Why am I entertaining you?" King Arthur in every word.

Lord Nathan raised one eyebrow and snorted dejectedly, "Dad has not been around for a long time, until when will big brother be stiff like this and assume we are not part of you?"

"Until you are fully aware that YOU and YOUR FAMILY are no longer part of the royal family and YOU are no longer welcome here. Wasn't that your own decision 25 years ago?" King Arthur recalled the decision his younger brother had made.

"Regardless of doing royal duty, you were targeted instead by a rural widow who came from a peasant family. You chose to marry her and 'fry' my father's face and Rayton's family name. Now you're asking yourself and your family to be accepted back here? What joke are you playing now, Nathan?" Decisive King Arthur.

On the right, Oliver just stood up and listened to where this family feud would end. As for Xavier, he did not have the courage to comment. This was the first time he had seen his father arguing with his uncle.

"WHAT DOES BROTHER MEAN?! SMEARING THE SURNAME?! After what I did on the battlefield first, volunteering at the border, protecting the waters of Zinnia in the south, deploying all the troops under my command and bringing home the victory for Zinnia. You are indifferent and never appreciate me just because I chose to marry the woman I love."

"You're an unscrupulous person who doesn't respect tradition, even with your own father."

"DEVIL WITH TRADITION!–"

"Well how different am I from your son Xavier?! He is no different from me who both married women from the lower classes. Is it because I'm not a crown prince that I'm treated like this?!"

Oliver was stunned, in the end this conversation led to him.

"Since you dragged my daughter-in-law into this conversation, should I set out your nerves with my son?" Said King Arthur who was holding back his emotions earlier.

"He never once broke the traditions and rules of the palace. He's different from you. He also appreciates his father, unlike you. After I didn't approve of your relationship, you arrogantly chose to renounce your title of prince and elope with the widow. But you don't realize that you're the main source of why you got sick first. You weren't even devoted to her in her last moments. In the midst of such chaos, it was as if it really didn't matter that you didn't even show your nose at all. You forget who handled all the mess you made? L'M. In the midst of other important things that I had to take care of, I was instead taking care of the mess left behind by my selfless sister. You don't even know how hurt mom and dad used to be?" Obviously King Arthur.

Mr. Nathan and the others fell silent.

"Never equate the village woman with my son-in-law. Don't ever. Oliver is more moral than he is. And you're Nathan– Don't ever equate yourself with my son Xavier. You're not the same."

Lord Nathan looked at King Arthur with a sharp gaze. It was a miracle that Raha Arthur could still speak calmly and not even slap his own sister.

"Go home if you don't want me to be cut off. Don't interrupt my daughter-in-law's show. The palace door can no longer be opened freely to you, Nathan."

Now King Arthur changed his tone so that it seemed colder and gave a sharp look, "Xavier and Oliver do not need the blessing of mu–"

"And wishful thinking appeared before me, even at my funeral. Because you– is no longer my brother, Nathan Hendery Rayton."

'Bad!' inner Lord Nathan.

'Your glory days will be over, Wiliiam. It's over! I'll make sure of that.'

Everyone heard King Arthur's words. Oliver himself could not believe he could see all this with his own eyes, seeing his father-in-law cut off the family relationship with his own sister. Just incredible!

'Family meetings are not complete if they do not end with drama spices and a little bit of a fuss, right?" his inner.

King Arthur walked out of the room. He chose to leave instead of having to be ignited emotions back because of the presence of his sister.

"How dare he come back on such an important day." Said King Arthur as he walked towards his private room which was quite far from the main hall.

"What I hope to see tonight is Dominick, not Nathan. Where the hell is he?" Says King Arthur.

"I'm sorry, Your Majesty. I'm so teledor, I should've coordinated more guard." Said Elthon who had been tailing to escort King Arthur away.

"It's not your fault. He himself doesn't know himself."

King Arthur's steps are getting faster due to his burning emotions.

"Elthon, bring cold water to my room." The Edict of King Arthur.

"Well, Your Majesty."

Elthon then turned around, but his steps stopped, "Wait–" said King Arthur.

"I'm sure the media will smell what's happening tonight, and they'll be excited to write the headlines in the headlines tomorrow morning because of this issue. You take care of all that, Elthon. Let no one else know that Nathan came to Oliver's welcome ceremony." Says King Arthur.

"Do it, Your Majesty."
