8 To 4: The Mayor's Contract Wife

8 To 4: The Mayor's Contract Wife
D-Day

The wedding day arrives.

Bara walked back and forth in front of Ajeng's room. The time of the show is almost here, but Ajeng is not ready yet.

A makeup artist came out from inside Ajeng's room.

“Where?” ask Bara worriedly.

“Sorry, Mom. But we had trouble applying powder and eyeliner. The bride did not stop crying. You've even done a lot to close her swollen eyes but it doesn't seem to help much.” Obviously the makeup artist.

Bara went into Ajeng's room and saw the reflection of Ajeng's face in front of the mirror. “It's enough. Take him out!”

“But Mas –“

“Ngga there's time again. Bring him as he is. That's enough for me.” Tell Bara before leaving Ajeng's room.

The show started and Bara played his part very well. The marriage procession went well and Bara was declared lawful as Ajeng's husband. Ajeng was asked to kiss Bara and Bara's hands and kiss Ajeng's forehead and then go down to Ajeng's lips. It was a wet kiss for the first time. It was completely wet because Ajeng did not stop draining his tears. And suddenly the girl fainted unconscious.

“Ajeng!!!”

*******************

When he realized, Ajeng was already in Bara's room and the man faithfully accompanied him sat on a chair beside Ajeng's bed.

“Awoke up, Jeng?”

“Where is this?”

“Our room.”

He immediately got up and opened the blanket to escape. But Bara hurriedly pushed his body back to its original position. “You just woke up and still have a lot to rest.”

“Ngga.” Reject Ajeng while continuing to try to escape.

But Bara again pushed him back into place. “Starting today you are my wife. And you have no choice but to obey my orders.”

“I don't want to!”

Bara again pushed him and so strong effort Bara, his body up to the bottom and even almost overpowered Ajeng's body that fell into the bed. Ajeng directly poked Bara's head with his head and made Bara stagger in pain. He took advantage of the opportunity to escape. But when he came out of the room he even crossed paths with both Bara's parents.

“Where are you, Jeng?” ask Mr. Taufik.

And they heard Bara's moans complaining of pain.

“Why?” ask Bu Taufik worried.

“Ngga. We're just messing around.” Ajeng hurriedly returned to his room and closed the door.

“Sial!” muttered Ajeng while pacing around in his room.

And suddenly Bara's moans stopped for a moment. “Eat yuk! Laper.”

“Eat on your own. I'm not laper.” Ajeng replied still pacing back and forth in Bara's room.

“If you don't eat, I won't eat either.” He said as he climbed onto the bed and started to turn on the television.

“Jeng!” call Bara.

Ajeng turned his head and suddenly Bara threw his cellphone at Ajeng. Fortunately, Ajeng caught him swiftly. Otherwise the phone would have fallen and shattered into pieces. Ajeng looked at the screen and a short message from Alvin appeared there.

(Wira has been released.)

Short but enough to make Ajeng breathe very relieved. He then sat on a chair while holding Bara's cell phone with both hands. Ajeng then returned the phone to Bara.

“Still.”

“Hungry yet?” ask Bara again

Bara stomped his feet into the bed in annoyance. And Ajeng did not care about it at all. He even opened the balcony door and stood there for a long time enjoying the hot sun that afternoon.

When he returned to his room, Bara fell asleep while his television was still on. Ajeng turns off the tivi and then covers Bara's body. After making sure the condition was in order, he went into the bathroom to refresh himself and his mind. Despite being trapped in a marriage he never wanted, Ajeng still felt happy that Wira had been released.

When he returned from the bathroom, it was getting dark and someone knocked on the door to tell the two to eat dinner.

“Den Bara is still sleeping. They will eat later if Den Bara is awake.” said the waiter who called Ajeng in his room earlier.

“Pa, why shouldn't we wake up Bara? Papa knows that he can't be late for a meal?” ask Bu Taufik worried.

“Already, Ma. He is an adult and married. Maybe he still wants to do something else and isn't hungry yet. Rich mama doesn't know how newlyweds behave like them.”

“Yes but Bara gastritis can not be underestimated, Pa?”

“Not papa. Soon they will wake up.”

After being satisfied to read some books owned by Bara, Ajeng finally saw the clock has shown at eight pm and Bara still has not awakened. Ajeng intended to wake Bara so that he would move to sleep on the sofa, but when he touched Bara's hand he felt shocked because his hand was very hot. Ajeng checked Bara's forehead and the man had a high fever.

“Bara! Wake up! Bara!” Ajeng shook Bara's body.

Bara just muttered indistinctly. Ajeng hurriedly went down to take a warm water compress.

“Non Ajeng find what?” ask one of the servants.

“Warm compress. Bara fever.” Answer the panic.

The waiter immediately gave Ajeng what he needed and Ajeng rushed back to the room while the waiter reported to Bu Taufik.

“What's up, Jeng?” asked Bu Taufik who came with Mr. Taufik to Bara's room.

“Bara fever, Tan. He was sleeping but when Ajeng wanted to wake up, his body had a fever.” Answer Ajeng while continuing to compress Bara.

“Soaring!” order Bu Taufik who wants to stop the position Ajeng caring for Bara. But Bara pulled Ajeng's hand and held him back.

“Bara already has a wife, Ma. He's the one who should be taking care of Bara now. Not Mama.” Bara muttered while continuing to hold Ajeng's hand.

“Bara! You are sick still kidding.” Sahut Bu Taufik's.

But Bara still does not want to let go of Ajeng's hand. “Wants to be treated with Ajeng, Ma.”

Ms. Taufik exhaled a rough breath.

“Already, Ma. Bara's right. There's Ajeng already, so Mama doesn't have to bother anymore.” Imbuh Mr. Taufik.

“No, papa only knows.”

Bu Taufik snorted in annoyance. “Ya already hunted to take your medicine. Half an hour down! Mama will prepare a meal for you.”

“What medicine, Tan? Shouldn't it be checked with a doctor first can only be treated with drugs?” ask Ajeng.

“The man suffered from acute gastritis. He can't eat late and can't be stressed. The result can be fatal.”

And suddenly Ajeng felt guilty. He did not know that Bara had a history of gastritis pain but instead told him to go on a hunger strike when it was not necessary.

“Wait Tan! Let Ajeng eat it. Aunty can stay here with Bara.”

“I want to be cemented with you, Jeng.” Reject spoiled Bara.

And Ajeng hurriedly clicked his forehead and removed Bara's grip from his hand. “Wait here!”
