8 To 4: The Mayor's Contract Wife

8 To 4: The Mayor's Contract Wife
Counterattack

In the back seat of the car, Ajeng frowned while turning his back to Wira who still chose to take Alda home with him. Abdi occasionally observes the attitude of the two couples but Wira looks very relaxed facing Ajeng who is sulking.

Their car suddenly stopped on the road under the viaduct of Jambon. There was a black van and a white sedan waiting for them there. Wira invites Ajeng down, hugs him for a while and then takes him to move into the white sedan. Although confused and not understanding, Ajeng tried to keep believing in Wira.

“Be careful on the road and wait for me at home!” said Wira when closing the car door.

"Where are you going? We're not going home together?"

From the side, Alda came in and sat in the steering chair. “Mbak Ajeng is ready?”

“This is what the hell is it exactly?”

“Mbak Ajeng is calm. I will take Mbak Ajeng safely to the destination.” Cerocos Alda while driving his car with full vigilance.

“Can you explain? I don't like to be confused like this.”

Alda ignored Ajeng's question because his gaze was focused on the black car that had followed him. Alda increased his speed to avoid the car. But in the end, the car managed to overtake and cut him in the middle of the deserted road.

“Mbak Ajeng is calm. Lock the door after I get out!” alda said before exiting and closing the car door loudly. He then confronted three men who got out of the car alone.

Ajeng panicked and tried to call Wira to ask for help, but in vain. The phone is inactive. Alda manages to defeat one of them, then Ajeng sees another man rise from behind as Alda fights against one other man.

He got down from the car, picked up a stone lying on the side of the road to throw at the man who was about to attack Alda from behind it. but suddenly he remembered Abdi's words that Wira hit the thug to death and the stone just came out of Ajeng's hand.

The man who was about to attack Alda realized the existence of Ajeng and instead attacked him back. Ajeng who was immediately aware of his daydream tried to fight the man with all his abilities. Although he had done a lot of hits and kicks, but the man he faced was not easy to subvert. Instead of winning, Ajeng just fell slammed to the ground by the man.

His back was in excruciating pain, but Ajeng did not want to give up and let Alda fight alone. With the rest of his ability, Ajeng jumped on the hood of the car, then locked both of his legs to the man's neck, hitting his head with both elbows very hard. He fell to the ground with the body of the man who had begun to fall helplessly.

But then, another man got back up and strangled Ajeng's neck from behind with his arms. Alda who saw that immediately kicked the man's nape from behind. The man turned around and snatched Alda's face as well hitting him on the back very hard. Ajeng who had been freed, again doused the man's face with sand. When he lost his concentration, Alda and Ajeng kicked him very hard and beat him many times until he fainted.

“They didn't die, did they?” ask me to panic.

Alda immediately pulled Ajeng into the passenger seat. But Ajeng actually pushed Alda in and he instead replaced Alda in the steering chair.

“Mbak Ajeng sure?”

Ajeng unmoved, turned on the engine and then stepped on the gas pedal confidently. Alda was amazed to see Ajeng's driving ability. He was obviously very trained and professional, not a street driver who learned his autodidact. And he felt a little relieved because the Hero was in the right hands.

“Don't go through there!” forbid Alda when seeing Ajeng turn on the riting lights. “We pass the border road. Mas Wira has prepared people to pick us up there.”

Ajeng turned off his curling lights and chose the straight path as Alda had commanded him. And sure enough, the armpits arrived at the border, a horde of men in uniform greeted and secured them until they arrived home safely.

“Who are they? Looks like they're not the cops and you know each other?” tanya Ajeng when they arrived at the official house of Wira.

“Her people Mas Wira.” Alda answered briefly while sitting in the guest chair.

“Max you?” tanya Ajeng while carrying an ice pack and medicine box.

“They are Mas Wira's men who are assigned to secure the border area.”

“Since when? And for what?”

“So this is not a system that has existed for a long time? But the new system Mas Wira make?”

Alda nodded. “Auuu!”

His back that was hit still hurt.

“You didn't papa?”

“Ngga. Wira must have had a reason. He wouldn't have involved them if it wasn't urgent.”

‘So, Mas Wira purposely did that to protect me?’ batin Ajeng's.

“But who are those people? They don't look like regular security guards.”

“Certainly not. They are people who are already highly trained and professional.”

“Mafia?” guess Ajeng.

“Isn't that too rough?” Alda muttered. “But that's how they are. In the past Mas Wira had a very developed company.”

“Company?”

“Move in the areas of funding, investments and stocks. He was one of the most talented young entrepreneurs of the time. In less than two years alone, his company has managed to surpass The Borton Fund, which became the best company in Indonesia at that time.”

“So your max, Mas Wira is very experienced in terms of investment?”

“Sure.” Alda drank the drink that Bi Sumi had just fed him. “Mr. Suzuki is one of his old partners. He invited Mr. Suzuki to invest in Carang Sewu through pemprov. But the provincial government instead put forward a proposal incriminating Mr. Suzuki, so their deal was almost cancelled that time.”

“Where do you know?”

“Mas Abdi said. He knows everything about Mas Wira. And since we are twins, we can barely hide anything from each other.”

“What is Abdi also the story of how we met?”

“What?! Did you guys meet in Siliwangi too?” Alda asked back.

‘Thank God. Looks like Abdi didn't tell me anything about it.’ Inner Ajeng again.

“So how did you guys meet? Does Abdi know about this too?” alda's curious turn isn't overbearing.

“Of course Abdi doesn't know. That's why I nanya, because it must be strange that Abdi knows about the story of my meeting with Mas Wira as well.” The man tries to avoid.

‘So, if Mas Wira knew Mr. Suzuki was that good, why did he ask me for help? Is it true he can't handle Mr. Suzuki without my help like Abdi said? Or is it true as Abdi said last night? That it's just the reason for Wira to marry me?’ muttered the Ajeng in the heart. There were a lot of question marks on his mind and he needed answers to every question.

“So, what is Mas Wira doing now? Why did he tell us to go home first?”

“Memberangus mafia prostitution and pedagogy people.”
