Epis. 2 Dinner

“Tonight Papa invited Mia and her Grandma to dinner and talked about your wedding”, Johan Oliver said at breakfast without objecting. Donny Adriano Oliver can only accept this match.

Actually Johan had also forgotten this matchmaking, he wanted to let Donny determine his own life companion. He also repeatedly urged Donny to immediately marry his lover considering the age of three heads. But Johan's patience has finally run out until he gives Donny one last chance to marry his lover, if even this year they are not married then Donny must agree to the matchmaking that has been talked about before. 

Natasha Calista is a high-class international model who has been her lover for six years, rejecting Donny's marriage proposal.  This was also not the first time Natasha had rejected him. Although disappointed by Natasha's rejection, Donny remains faithful to wait until Natasha is ready to leave the world that has raised her name and become Oliver's young mistress.

Mia looks beautiful in a simple dress made of lace with a collar. Peach color looks in tune with her bright skin making her look very beautiful. She repeatedly removed the makeup Fiona wore because it was too much in her opinion. And finally a simple make up of Fiona became his choice.

A black luxury sedan quickly splits through the streets of the capital, the car was sent by Oliver's family to pick up Mia and her Grandmother. On the way, Mia looks very nervous to imagine what Oliver's family will react to her. Grandma Ida's grasp couldn't calm her rage.

After traveling for less than an hour, they finally arrived at a house that looked very luxurious. From a distance, Mia could see there were some people standing in front of a fairly large door. The car stopped, the driver went down first and opened the car door for his master's special guest.

Johan was stunned to see Mia who had just got off the car, the girl's face looked very familiar to him. Johan smiled, greeting Mia and grandmother Ida kindly. As for Laura, Mama Donny has been putting on an unfriendly face since their arrival, but in an elegant way.

“Thank you for coming”, greet Johan kindly.

“We are honored by his invitation”. Grandma Ida was no less friendly.

“Last Om saw you, you are still a child. Doesn't feel now you've grown into a very beautiful girl”. Johan invited them to sit in the living room while waiting for dinner to finish.

“Om is very happy you want to receive this matchmaking”. Amongst everyone, Johan looked the happiest. Since the arrival of Mia and her grandmother, she has never stopped smiling.

Mia smiled awkwardly, as much as she could control her facial expression while still looking polite. She was not comfortable with Laura's gaze on him. At a glance he knew, the woman who still looked beautiful at her age who was not young anymore did not like it.

They were already sitting at the dining table, various delicious dishes were served on the long table. But of course that's not the main concern Mia, although it is not denied she smiled a little to see so much food in front of her.

The man he will marry, where he is. Did he change his mind and cancel this match. It would be great if that happened. Mia was monologuing on him.

“Sorry belated”. A heavy voice stopped Mia's light conversation with Johan. Mia looked at the man who had just pulled the chair beside Laura still in his full suit.

Her skin was whiter than Mia, about two feet tall. And his aura was extremely strong, he was like a magnet that would attract any girl who saw him.

 “Donny, this is Mia who papa told me, beautify”, Johan introduced Donny and Mia. Donny stood extending his date politely “Donny”. “Mia” Miapun standing up to welcome Donny's hand. They sat down after changing names.

“Papa hope you can get married as soon as”.Johan said excitedly. The regret in his heart had forgotten this matchmaking. She sees Soraya in Mia who is none other than Mia's mother.

Soraya is Johan's first love even though Soraya eventually marries Tiar, Mia's father, Johan remains in a very deep friendship with both of Mia's parents. Maybe this is fate, when Johan approved Donny to propose Natasya as his wife and forget his promise to marry his son to his best friend's child, Natasya refused on the grounds that he was not ready to be tied to the bond of marriage

Johan promised himself that he would make amends for deliberately sharing the promise he had made with his best friend. He will marry their children as they promise, and make Mia happy.

“How's Mia?” Mia glanced at Donny who had been busy with side dishes on his plate.

“Mia ter...”

“Let them know pa” first, cut Laura before Mia can finish her speech.

“This is a wedding, not a game, Mama does not want Donny to choose the wrong partner”.

“Don't we already talk about it”, Johan looked at his wife gently trying to prevent her from coming up with a word that would offend Mia and her Grandmother because from the beginning Laura was noisy about refusing this matchmaking.

“Papa set it”. Donny finally made a sound, he turned his gaze to Mia who happened to be looking towards him. Donny smiled kindly at her after their sight met each other. Mia just remained silent and did not give any reaction.

“I will send a driver to pick you up tomorrow at lunch”. Mia rounded her eyes, Donny then stood up from her seat, “excuse me, there is an important thing that I have to finish” part later. As opposed to Mia, she was still with her surprised expression. ‘For what send driver?’

“Pardon Donny, he is like that. But Om make sure, he won't disappoint you”. Mia just smiled while nodding her head.

Dinner is over. Nothing is memorable, except his father's best friend who in his memory is always good. But there was a hint of unease in her heart knowing Donny did not reject this matchmaking.

How will he live with such a man, impressed very cold and indifferent. In addition to the prospective mother-in-law who clearly shows that she does not like him. It felt like he was rejecting this match, but it would make the guilt on his father even greater.

Didn't the man say tomorrow he'd send a driver to pick him up. Mia will talk to him, and ask to cancel this match.
