Wound Healing Husband

Wound Healing Husband
Epis. 1 Last request

Dinner was as warm as ever, telling each other their experiences today. The humble cuisine of the grandmothers received tremendous praise from the two daughters who lived together in a modest rented house. Ida's grandmother just smiled as usual listening to Mia and Fiona tell her about the events they experienced today, although nothing too meaningful, almost the same every day but still always interesting to tell.

“You remember Om Johan”?, asked Grandma Ida when Mia and Fiona were playing with their phones after dinner.

Mia laughed trying to remember who Om Johan meant by Grandma. Suddenly Mia nodded quickly as she remembered the figure her grandmother meant.

“Om Johan rich dad's friend right?”, Mia clarifies her memory. Grandma Ida nodded slowly, then sighed heavily. How to convey it to his grandson.

“What is Nek?”, Mia began to see something was wrong with the expression of her Grandmother who was silent arrived but looked very agitated.

Mia put down her dress then approached the woman whose hair had started to whiten. Mia clasped the already wrinkled hand with both hands “what is it Nek?” ask him again. Grandma Ida again sighed heavily before finally starting to speak.

“A few days ago Om Johan came here to see Granny”.  Mia listened carefully, Fiona who was watching television shrank the volume of her television and listened to what her best friend's grandmother would say, which Fiona also considered family.

“He delivered a trust and promise that had been agreed by him and your father”. Mia and Fiona were still listening without cutting off Grandma Ida's words.

“Since the age of five, they've betrothed you”. Mia and Fiona looked at each other.

“Mia, matched?with whom?” Fiona represents what Mia was about to ask.

Grandma ida nodded weakly. “With single son Om Johan, Donny his name”. Mia was still glued with both her eyebrows and perfectly rounded eyes.

“Given Mia, Om Johan is a very rich man.  Cook yes he wants to match his son with Mia”, said Mia does not believe in following a quick nod from Fiona as if to agree with what Mia said. Grandma Ida sighed slowly “but that's how her statement Mia” said later.

“This match is a trust from your father. Grandma hope you want to receive it”.

“But what is his son Om Johan willing Nek?”, of course Mia hesitated. In his memory, his father's friend was a very rich man. How not, every time he visited his father in Bandung, his friend was always changing cars, there was also a big man in a full suit who always followed him. Mia also remembers some of her expensive toys were given by her father's friend. If he is just an orphan who lives a simple life and has nothing, they are not worth it.

“Om Johan has talked about this with his son, and he also agrees with this matchmaking.” Mia and Fiona shook their heads in disbelief. How unlikely.

Even though he had never met, but again in his memory even though it was not so clear, his father's friend was quite handsome. So maybe his son is handsome too. How could there be a perfect man who would accept matchmaking in modern times like this. Mia again shook her head after monologuing with her thoughts.

“You want?” Ask grandma ida very gently. Mia was fixated on not being able to say anything. A moment of silence, Fiona looked at Mia waiting for what reaction her best friend would show her.

“Grandmother knows you have been injured and maybe the wound is still wet until now”. Mia looked down again, Fiona rubbed Mia's back. The mood was silent again.

“But this is the way for you to heal, you can't forever keep that wound”, Mia took off Grandma Ida's hand and removed the clear liquid that flowed on her cheek from when.

“Still Mia time” pinta Mia. Grandma ida nods in agreement “tomorrow morning Grandma wants to hear your answer”.

“Besok morning??” said Mia and Fiona simultaneously and then looked at each other, Grandma Ida nodded.

“Om Johan want to meet tomorrow night” Mia and Fiona back surprised, “so fast?” Asked Mia, grandma ida nodded back.

“Om Johan wants to get you married soon, because he has to return to Spain as soon as”.  Obviously Grandma Ida was like what Johan said to her this afternoon. Although the real reason is so that Donny does not change his mind and to make Donny immediately forget his lover who has failed him.

The clock on the nightstand already shows twelve o'clock at night. Mia had not been able to close her eyes at all, nor was Fiona. The girl did not want to let her best friend think alone.

“What should I do, Fi?”. I don't know how many questions came out of his mouth.

“I never thought that far. Marrying. Even with a person who is not at all I know what his face and heart looks like”.

Fiona hugged her best friend's shoulder. To be honest, he also did not know what to say. Everything was so sudden, and Mia was only given a few hours to think.

“Dad, what should Mia do”. Mia let out a heavy sigh and then drowned her head between her knees. From his deepest heart, he did not want to accept this matchmaking. After the injuries he had sustained, after the great betrayal he had to receive, he no longer wanted to open his heart to anyone. He had promised to never know love and let someone hurt him for love.

“I know, you mind right?”. Mia nodded. “I don't want to, Fi”, he said in a soft voice.

“But this is safe Om Tiar”. Mia looked at Fiona, right this was her father's last request. Refusing this match was the same as refusing her father's request. This was his father's last request.

Mia started closing her eyes. “Sleep yuk, Fi”, he said pulling a blanket to cover his entire body. Fiona then goes into the blanket with Mia.

The girl found the answer. Yes, he will accept the match, for his father's sake, for his father's last request. If by accepting this matchmaking she can reduce the guilt on her father, why not. Just getting married, with anyone no longer matters. His heart was long dead.

The two girls finally fell asleep, entering their own subconscious. Resting a tired heart and soul. Prepare yourself for a tomorrow that may be heavier than the previous days.
