A large building was lined up to welcome our return. The industrial center of G city was indeed really dense. The smoke that billows in the air, the smell of raw materials and chemicals mix around it.
I stepped alone. Siska and Bagas already have a boarding house, while Dian went home.
I passed through several shophouses before the first roundabout. There was one shophouse that caught my attention, the first floor was a large store with so many buyers. The second floor looked empty, but there were some ropes connected from one pole to the other.
Is it clothes?
Suddenly a toddler ran out of the store. My reflex caught him because he kept running until he got close to the highway.
"Hello little brother where are you going." I said after he calmed down in my arms. He just pointed at the direction of the roundabout. There was nothing there, making me frown, confused.
"Nafisa o Allah do not run away..." Shouted a mother in a hurry running out of the store. This mother carries baby food in her hands, not forgetting the sling cloth attached to her shoulders.
"Nana mah nana." said this toddler while still pointing at the roundabout in front of there.
"Mom looks like mom's daughter wants to be in a bribe at the roundabout there." My words began to understand what the little one meant in my sling.
"Later on deck, wait for brother to come home first. Now enter the store again yes, there are still many buyers, later mama love toys again, huh?" Persuade this mother while thrusting her hand to her daughter.
"No no." Said the toddler, wrapping his hand around my neck. I laughed at her look at her behavior. Remember my brother Fani when I was a kid.
"Oh son sorry auntie son yes, you so carry him, you want to go home from work right?" Said the mother worried.
"No papa ma'am, I'm relaxed. Adek want a bribe brother at the roundabout there no? But adek sat sweet yeah let's be more beautiful." I said as I stroked the little guy's back.
"Mauuu...." His screams were full of spirit. My reflexes instantly closed my eyes, startled by her shrill voice in my ears.
"Do not need to, you'll take care of it." Said the mother while occasionally looking towards her shop.
"It's okay mom, I happen to have a sister in the house who looks like a mother's daughter, too" I said and then took the toddler's food from her mother's hand.
"Thank you, son. I'll go to the store first. When you're done, please meet me inside." Said the mother then walked back to her shop.
The toddler was still cool in my arms. Sometimes he mutters something, making me smile amusedly imagining Fani's childhood.
I sat him on the steps in the middle of the roundabout. He was still muttering indistinctly but remained calm sitting in front of me.
"What's his name?" I started to ask her to talk.
"Was. Mom oko lamai, isa using." He answered while still muttering indistinctly.
Oh her name isa, her mom's shop is crowded so she feels dizzy. Haha, that's funny this kid. My inner.
I fed her while asking her to talk. This toddler may still be two years less. Super active and want to be accompanied. No wonder he felt dizzy because in the store it was quite crowded.
I saw the mother go back out of the store to see me, and then go back in the store. Apparently, he could not leave his son to me.
The food is over. The toddler is still cool to tell stories while occasionally yawning. Very amusing.
"Then my grandson. Kaka play isa. Isa wants a grandson." Babble the toddler while thrusting his hand at me.
"Dear on, let's go to the mama's shop and get some milk." I said and then carried her again.
I walked slowly while swinging slowly the toddler so that he was sleepy. And succeed. Until the shop he started to yawn wide. The mother stumbled toward me.
I went into the room to follow Mom. It turned out that the mother had prepared her child's milk bottle on a small table next to the toddler's bed box.
"Mom, I'll just go home ma'am" Pamitku.
"Eh, wait. Let's have lunch with mom. Ningsih's mother's name, whose name are you?" ask the mother.
"I'm Anya ma'am. I'm sorry but I just go home ma'am, I've been waiting for a friend at the boarding house." Then I stepped out of the shop.
There are still three people who shop in this store, there are two women who serve buyers. Suddenly Ningsih's mother chased after me who was already a step outside the store.
"This child makes snacks at the boarding house. Please accept," he said, handing the black plastic bag over to my hand.
"Is this mom? No need mom, I sincerely played the same isa. He's so funny." I said while returning the package to the hands of Ms. Ningsih.
Mother Ningsih smiled happily, but still put the package into my hands.
"Mom know you are sincere, this is just a snack for you at the cost. You're the new kid, right? Just accepted a job, right? Consider this your fortune as a welcome to this city." His words then passed from before me
I smiled and thanked Ms. Ningsih. There are always good people wherever I am. I said in my heart.
I walked back to Anis's boarding house. At 15:21 I arrived at the boarding house. Take off the shoes and socks, then sit on the terrace straightening the legs.
"Just come home? Tired yet? You told me which part of the job tomorrow?" Anis asked who had just entered after buying something from outside.
"Yes, pretty tired but cool too. The factory is very big Nis. Lu what part? I have not been told tomorrow what part but was already in the same uniform ID Card," I replied as I continued to follow Anis into the room.
"Gue packing N-1, maybe you will be in N-2 tomorrow because the building is still new still need a lot of personnel." Said Anis then sitting in the living room.
"Lumayan is far from the gate when it comes to N-2. Oia nis, here I get a free snack," said I as I put a black plastic package in front of Anis.
"Free snack? How can?" Ask Anis in wonder.
"Yes, it was just when I came home there was a toddler running away from the store in his southern shop roundabout. Well this same kid I, yasudah I play with bribe bentar. Keep fitting home I'm in love snack with his mother." Obviously I then went into the room to get a towel and a shower.
"Oh, her son, Ningsih? Haha you can get free." Said Anis while giggling amusedly. Maybe imagine me playing with a cute toddler.
"Udah don't laugh mulu. Eat it, the fortune of the sholihah boy. I'll take a shower first." I said and walked into the bathroom.
"Ready lady." Her candanya then began to open the package in front of her.
In the bathroom I heard some boarding houses start to arrive. There are those who eat with Anis, some go straight to the room, some go to the kitchen.
They're so well-rounded. Like family.
Hmmmm what if later I find my own cost? Can they be as compact and complex as them?
