Towards the Destiny of Naura's Love

Towards the Destiny of Naura's Love
Chapter 29 Talk to each other

Almost all day Naura dwells in the mosque in the supermarket. He calmed down while reading the Qur'an then joined the congregational prayer and now Naura has just finished the congregational prayer. After the asar prayer, as Naura's feet stepped out of the mosque, her phone shook. Incoming call from bang Udin.

"Assalamualaikum, bang Udin."

"Moskirishalam, Naura. Where are you now?" Tanya Udin was speaking from Tama's house.

"On the way home, bang. What's up?"

"Mmm, you can come here now. There's something important you want to discuss with me."

"Where's bang?"

"House of bude Maysaroh."

Hearing that made Naura shut up for a moment. It seemed like she understood what Udin wanted to talk to her at her mother-in-law's house.

"Naura! Can you come?" Udin asked again because he did not hear Naura's answer.

"Is there a mother there too?"

"No. Bude is going arisan."

"Is there a Tama?"

"Yes." Yeah." Udin replied doubtfully. He was worried that Naura would not come because there was Tama.

"Well bang, I'm there now. There's also something important that I want to talk about with Tama."

Naura immediately ended the call after saying her greeting.

It's a great opportunity to talk to Tama. I hope Mas Tama will answer my question honestly.

Naura immediately boarded the angkot and asked to be delivered to the address of her mother-in-law's house. Not long after, Naura finally arrived at the house. He stepped in trying to look good.

"Assalamualaik."

"Girishalam, Naura. Let's go in."

Udin greeted Naura kindly, while Tama just sat quietly on the living room sofa as if not seeing Naura coming. Naura immediately sat down on the sofa facing directly from Tama and was bounded by the table. Udin sat down next to Tama.

"What is Udin talking about?" Naura went straight to the point without further ado.

"Mmm, so gini…"

Udin seemed to adjust his sitting position to make it more comfortable. Then once in a while he turned to Tama who was cool staring at his cellphone screen.

"Young, Naura. Brother wants to try to help straighten out your misunderstandings. So, I hope Tama is quiet before you allow her to talk."

"M." Mmm." Tama replied without looking at Udin.

Naura shook her head feeling sorry to see her husband's adab towards her cousin who was much older than her.

"OK, so gini Naura..."

Udin began to recount the series of events that occurred today. It was about Tama and her mother's quarrel this morning. Naura mer-em-as strong end of her hijab. There was a feeling of annoyance, anger and pity upon hearing Udin's story. Even Naura had a cynical look at Tama who was still focusing on her phone screen as if nothing had happened.

Astarghfirullahal. Naura had been a person many times in her heart. His eyes even looked teary and to hold back the tears from spilling Naura raised her head to look up at the sky of the living room.

"Now you want Naura to talk. What ways does Naura want to reveal to Tama."

"The matter of the household should not be complained to the parents." Tama insinuated Naura with a flat and very cold tone.

"Shut up first."

Naura's mouth almost cursed Tama if Udin ordered Tama to be silent too late.

"Naura, speak."

"I just want to know, the ungodly wife called mas Tama on her facebook account was meant for me or not."

"Yes. Because you are a wicked wife." Again Tama said that casually without staring at the interlocutor.

"I've always tried my best to make Mas Tama feel comfortable. I did everything a wife did. In fact, I was willing to endure my pain and disappointment in order to make Mas Tama happy. So, on which part do you think I'm being disobedient?"

"You promised you'd move into my mom's house, didn't you? See until now you still haven't kept that promise!" Shouted Tama. He started staring at Naura after putting down his cellphone.

"I never promised you. I just said I'd move into my mom's house when I felt ready."

"Yes the same. You are only concerned with your own comfort. You never thought how uncomfortable I would be living in your parents' house."

"My parents? Mas outrageous. Mother same father always trying to make mas Tama comfortable. It's just the cooking that makes me uncomfortable in my parents' house."

"Enough Naura. Enough Tama!" Shouted Udin while firmly patting the surface of the table. His actions succeeded in making Tama and Naura stop telling.

"Now you ask, why is Naura not ready to move here?"

"Yes because I have to work bang. I have to get up early and do a lot of work..."

"You can do it here, right?" Udin cut Naura's words.

"Remember listen to my story. During this time mas Tama always go home late at night even sometimes go home in the morning. As a wife, I couldn't sleep well when my husband wasn't next to me, bang. I'm a wife like that."

"Yes, I understand that."

"I came home late because I was lazy to see your mother's cynical gaze with your father." Tama defended himself.

"Huh, you also come home late even when we stay at this house mas. Don't forget that. At that time we stayed at this house I had a fever, I had a stomach ache and mas Tama even went out and came home at two in the morning. I remember it was mas."

"It is you who are too spoiled."

Tama is really outrageous. He should have rejected this matchmaking from the beginning, rather than tormenting Naura like this. Inner Udin looked pityfully at Naura.

"I can take care of myself at home. But, here at Mama's house, I can't take good care of myself. I was treated even like a foster child, uh no. I feel like this house is considered a maid. I have to serve mas even though I am sick."

"That's the wife's duty. Yeah if you mind it means I'm right dong, you're a bad wife."

This was the first time Naura could talk this much to Tama. So he did not want to miss any of the uneg-uneg that he had kept himself in his heart because Tama could never be spoken to. But the sentence just came out of Tama's mouth, again made her shut up.

"Tama, it looks like you're the one who's outrageous." Udin stared at Tama who was silent as Naura almost opened up all her hunting treatment during this time.

"Yes, but I can't go back to that house anymore, bang. It was so painful and shameful. My pride is like being trampled on until I get back to that house again."

Naura bowed softly. Just because mom scolded you and was angry because of your own actions, you even hate mama, mas? Just so you know, if I were you we'd been divorced a long time ago. I persevered not because I love you, but because I hoped you would be my only husband until jannah. I got married once in my life. I survived because I was sure you would change. Turns out…

Naura's tears finally spilled. He straightened his gaze to stare at Tama. May Allah have patience for me one day You will replace it with happiness.

"So what does mas Tama want me to do to defend our household, mas?"
