Three Years Different
55 (2): Suggestions and Do'a From Jafar and Alma

"Jawab, Mar," Lutfan repeated.

Mardiyah leaned her back, sighed and looked the other way. "I ... was talking to Abhimana."

"Speak what?" suhut Lutfan's.

Mardiyah replied, "Much."

Lutfan watched his wife's lips wait for her next speech.

"And as always, Lutfan. I can't hold back my tears." Mardiyah. I-i can. Even talking to Rajendra I can, but if I talk to Abhimana. I don't feel like I can't cry, Lutfan. His hands squeezed the used robe. "Abhimana. He's talking about his family's circumstances."

Lutfan frowned. Abhimana .. which ... is a lot of bacots, right? Crazy one! The purpose of him here is to anger my wife?! inner Lutfan growled, it felt like he wanted to prey on Abhimana. "He's talking rudely to elo?"

"No," said Mardiyah.

Lutfan clucking. "Lied."

"I'm not lying."

"Why do you cry, huh?"

Mardiyah was silent for a moment. "She said I can't disturb her family. Though I am not at all disturbing ... it's just that, but why am I crying?"

"That's normal, isn't it, Lutfan? If I were Abhimana. I will also talk like that" added Mardiyah.

If it is said reasonable. Lutfan agrees. But surely the way Abhimana spoke hurt his wife very much. Or it is ... Mardiyah is this weak?

"Whatever Abhimana says. Lupain, Mar."

Mardiyah. "Cannot. But if you ask me not to take a moment, maybe you can."

"Assalamualaik."

Mardiyah and Lutfan looked to the side. The arrival of Alma and Jafar who seemed to have just returned from the outlet. It's still one o'clock in the afternoon. Alma sat in a chair next to Mardiyah while Jafar sat opposite.

"Mosur."

Alma looked at Lutfan. "How are you, Lutfan?"

"Good, Ukhti. How about Mas Jafar?"

"Well, okay." Alma turned to look at Mardiyah. "Mar, how are you? No honeymoon plans?"

Mardiyah. "There's not yet."

Lutfan looked at Mardiyah and Alma in turn. "You guys talk first. I also want to talk to Mas Jafar."

"Yes." Yeah."

Lutfan and Jafar are now in the workspace. Actually Lutfan intends to hold a reception a week after the reception of Jafar and Alma. But he canceled, I don't know. He doesn't want any reception if it's done at the Lazuardi hotel.

Jafar flipped his notebook. "What's your problem with Mardiyah?"

"Since when have I had a problem with Mardiyah seh, Mas? My people are fine with him" replied Lutfan.

Jafar nodded and picked up the notebook again, then wrote there. "I heard Mr. Manggala intends to bring Mardiyah."

"Yes, Mum."

"Then how do you handle it?" write Jafar.

Lutfan sighed looking straight, his hands no longer on the wheel. Except on both of his thighs. "There's a suggestion from Umma, Mas."

Jafar awaits Lutfan's next speech.

"Mardiyah should get pregnant" Lutfan continued.

Jafar touched Lutfan's right arm. Until the owner looked down to read what was written in the notebook. "You forced him to do that?"

"No, that's it!" Lutfan. "But, he himself wants to. She said she was gonna get pregnant."

"If so fulfill his wish, Lutfan," wrote Jafar.

Lutfan's cheeks are a pseudo-red. "Yes. Another effort, Mommy."

There's a pause there. "So never let go of something that has been entrusted to you. If it has something to do with your rights. Mardiyah is your wife, the law knows that only you are entitled to Mardiyah. Not his father, not his family or even his mother."

"Yes, Mum." Lutfan smiled bitterly. Everything Jafar said was true. But was he able to hold back Mardiyah who had been his right? "Sampean do'ain yes, Mas."

Jafar nodded.

"But .. if finally Mardiyah brought with her Mr. Manggala how, Mas? ... Grandfather can't help me anymore."

Jafar put down his notebook. "There's a law, Lutfan."

"Samples don't forget, do they? The background of the Adiwangsa family is actually impenetrable or just in the Sainingi Mas. They will do everything they can to find what they want" Lutfan explained.

Jafar nodded. His hand picked up the notebook again and wrote there. "They're human, Lutfan. They cannot overcome the decree of Allah on every one of His servants. They will sin when they separate a husband from his wife. And if they dare to bring Mardiyah. Then we'll take the legal path."

"False, Mas. His advice. God willing, I can take Mardiyah."

"Mar."

"What?"

Alma looked at Mardiyah who had just put down her salary. "How's lutfan?"

"Where's what?"

"Yes that. Is he good with you?"

Mardiyah nodded. "Good."

"Can I ask again?"

Mardiyah looked straight at Alma. "Hm. Can."

"You ... love Lutfan?"

Mardiyah's forehead shriveled. "Why should I answer you?"

"Yes-yes I'll ask. He said he could."

"Can indeed. But if it is personal, it cannot be" said Mardiyah.

Alma showed her face. Then he paused for a moment, recalling the fact that the woman in front of him was the Princess of the Adiwangsa palace. "Mar ..."

"Hm."

"You're not going to leave, Lutfan's the same Umma, are you?"

Mardiyah paused for a moment, and looked the other way. "God willing."

"You doubt."

Mardiyah looked at Alma again flatly. "How's the question?"

"visibility. You seem to doubt."

How can I not doubt, Alma? If until Mr. Manggala acts, the path of the law will not be able to defend me, the inner Mardiyah by looking down on her fingers. "Alma .. Can I ask you something?"

"What?"

"Lutfan helped you with Jafar and Azizah. Now ..." Mardiyah looked up at Alma. "Can you help me and Lutfan?"

Netra Alma widened, he did not know what to do, if the demand for Mardiyah exceeded the limits of his ability. "God willing, Mar."

"You don't have to come to deal with the Adiwangsa family. You are quite .. pray for me and Lutfan, Alma. Pray for the wholeness of my household and Lutfan." Mardiyah lowered her head again, she bit her lower lip slowly. "And if ... Mr. Manggala finally took me away. Please pray for Umma and Lutfan. Pray that all happiness pervades their lives."

"Mar .. Why are you talking like this? I'm sure Mas Jafar, Lutfan, Grandpa will help you. Mr. Manggala will not be able to take you away," said Alma.

Mardiyah nodded. "I know, Alma. Lutfan, Jafar, Kiai Bashir and everyone will try their best. But if it ends up in vain. I'm just asking that of you. Never decide do'a for Umma and Lutfan's happiness when I go---"

"Not Mar .. You have to trust Lutfan. You have to trust your husband. How did Lutfan fight? If you doubt him."

Mardiyah. "I have no doubt. I trust him, Alma."
