There's Nothing Wrong Starting Life In Another World From Zero
Chapter 368: The City of Liar

Week before.

In the gently sloping meadow where the wind was blowing past him, a woman named Layne walked past him, her hands filled with apples that she liked.

"This world is so much fun, so much good food, too. Where am I going now? Ohok."

Layne is the daughter of the king of the underworld who fled to this world through the cracks of the world, a few weeks before he met the Queen and then unexpectedly his journey has come here.

Layne bit the apple in his mouth and unexpectedly found the city far in front of his eyes. It was a city within the high walls.

There was a warning written there until Layne stopped to read it.

"The city of liars, here everyone will say different things to what they think."

Layne tilted his head, only to find out that in the human world there are strange cities and one of them in front of him.

Because his curiosity was higher than fear, he finally passed through the gate that had lost its door.

There were no guards or people watching, everyone was free to go in and out as much as they wanted, leaving that aside, the city was still beautiful.

The main street is decorated with elite shops on the left right and among them people live properly.

One of the merchants stopped Layne.

"Ah, ugly lady, do you want to buy?"

"It's not that you're too rude to the seller."

"Where possible, here is the city lying we can't hide it."

"Really, what exactly are you selling?"

"Fruits and vegetables, do you want to buy?"

"No, everything looks so ugly."

"If it looks bad you have to buy it," the seller tenaciously offered the item but for Layne it was certain.

He just walked past her.

Layne turned his gaze towards the high wall that was already filled with vines and muttered.

"A fascinating town," and decided he wouldn't say anything and just used a gesture.

At first Layne thought the city was cursed or something else, but everything everyone here said was what it was.

They really like to lie.

For the sake of trying it, Layne had previously said that the merchandise of the previous seller was very ugly, but that was the reality.

Despite saying that, the sellers continued to force him to buy because for the city Layne said a lie.

In other words.

This city was made for liars, a paradise that is different from most people want.

"I'm ugly, I have clothes that don't suit you? I'll give you a price cut if you want to buy it."

Deceiving and lying were one and the same thing, Layne simply replied with her hand and immediately walked over to one of the inns.

It was late afternoon because it was choosing a place to sleep a must.

"Welcome, do you want to book a room?"

Layne nodded in response then pointed out one finger.

"For last night, it was only about 1 silver coin.Thank you, it must have been uncomfortable when people mocked you when I came here, I'm really sorry."

"Most of the people I've been through are just trying to trick me."

"I hope the lady doesn't blame them. In fact this city is a city that has been abandoned, then the merchants find it and start managing it again as it is now, I also belong to the entourage."

"Well, but why would they do that, I think anyone who comes here would notice?"

"Did the lady see the mark at the very bottom."

It recalls Layne's memory.

"If you stay here too long, you'll lose your ability to speak and will continue to tell lies."

"Fastly, as long as the residents hurl their insults and continue to scare the visitors they will definitely not linger here and then return to continue the journey."

"If you can figure out why?"

"That's because we were afraid someone would take our house. This city was a city abandoned because of a disaster, when the situation was very bad, such as broken walls, destroyed roads, and damaged houses.. but thanks to us everything is a little better."

Layne smiled slightly.

Since it's been abandoned I don't think anyone will be harmed.

"So so. I hope you don't say the same to other visitors."

"It's the first time I've said this to someone because for almost 10 years no one's come here to stay, they just buy groceries and leave after... miss decided to shut up because of that, I'm sure that miss already noticed it from the beginning."

Layne lightly put his shoulder up.

"I'm just a traveler so I won't say anything about this place, then I can go to my room right now."

"Please, I'll prepare warm water and food."

"Thank you."

Layne secretly offered a few extra coins.

"Please the most delicious cuisine."

"Good."

The next day Layne left the city and continued on his way, the lovers who were riding on the train stopped in front of him.

They look newly married.

"Sorry, is Miss a traveler?"

"Yes," he answered in short.

"I saw the lady come out of the city, is the city liveable?"

"No, the city was cursed. If you stay there too long you'll lie all your life."

"Well, thank God we met with the lady traveler, we were going to stay there."

"From here there is a village, I previously bought apples there I think the place is more comfortable to live in."

"Really, thank you very much."

"Yes." Yeah."

Layne only saw their departure while continuing his journey.

When Layne's dinner gives sleep magic to the receptionist and his family who live there, he finds a document hidden behind a drawer.

The real reason they lived in that city was because they all had no home to live in, they had travelled far away yet they kept being rejected wherever they went. If more simply they are not traders but criminals whose posters have been spread to all regions.
