Together with the innkeeper I examined the knife that was the only evidence in the kitchen, as expected this knife was taken from here.

It could be seen that in a set of kitchen knives, one of them was not there, which was the question who took it to kill the woman? the four others were in their rooms and only the owner of this inn was near the victim.

I can't actually do something like this.

But I have to investigate it.

First I asked the glasses guy, I told everyone until before he found them they couldn't sleep.

"When where were you?"

"I told you I was in this room."

"What are you doing? You could've used magic that could have moved a weapon and stabbed that woman."

"I'm not a magic user, before listening to the screams I was busy writing stories."

"You're a writer?"

"Yes, look at this."

The glasses guy gave me the script he wrote, and I liked the content.

The innkeeper peeked then he turned around as if he was pretending not to see her.

"Everything is just filled with indecent things" he said it was true.

I asked back.

"I heard you knew the victim before?"

"I just know, I've been staying here for almost a few months so it's not strange if I see her a lot and talk to her for a while."

"How's the guy?'

"Hmm he's a friendly man, not too talkative, I wonder if this could be a sea ghost?"

"If this was a ghost of the sea, he wouldn't have used a knife to kill his victims."

"It's true."

"But maybe he can do it" I joked back to the point that his face paled.

I closed the door and then moved on to the next door. Which is the master plontos' room, I asked the same thing I said to the master of glasses.

"Magic, I can't use magic, I just wanted to vacation in this place but this is what happened."

"May I search your room."

"Please leave it."

I did what I said and really found nothing in there, except a set of adult magazines.

"See the store owner, isn't this boing-boing?"

"What do you say with boing-boing, don't show it to me," I put the magazine down and took myself to the next room that became the room of the evil-eyed master.

"Huh, I have no reason to kill that woman."

At least he was speaking honestly.

"During your stay here, what have you done?"

"I can't say that."

"It's not that you peek at women bathing, either in this inn or in another inn."

"Where might I do it."

"But people talk about you, you're a pervert who's after kids, too."

He clicked his tongue and turned his eyes to the side.

"I was wrong to come here."

There is no denial, in other words this guy should have been arrested a long time ago.

"You're the most suspicious person, maybe that woman caught you and then you stabbed her."

The room seemed to be filled with flowers and it was quite disturbing the real function of this inn.

"No, I'm not interested in humans at all, I prefer plants."

"Maybe because you're not interested, you hate people close to you and stab them."

"I'm not close to him, I've only ever spoken to him, nothing more."

"Suspicious."

"Don't tell me you're accusing me of it."

"By your nature, it's possible. For now you all meet outside."

I asked all the other suspects to do it too.

I told them all.

"It seems from all of us there is clearly no culprit, if assumed this is really the work of a sea ghost."

"You gotta be kidding me?"

"If so what if you were all the culprits and I would report this to the guards."

Everyone is silent.

Before I continued, Amnestha and Gabriela appeared with frightened faces.

"Sir, the woman who was stabbed doesn't exist."

"It's not like I told you to take care of him."

"We've done it, even we've always stood at the door of his room."

"I am too."

Everyone paled.

"If this is the case, the next victim might be one of us."

"I will leave this place forever, I will not be in this scary place" said the evil-eyed man.

"Me too, I'm not going back to this town."

Everyone said the same thing until the next morning they actually came out of this inn, Rin who flew to watch over him made sure of it well.

While drinking the tea the innkeeper bowed towards me while saying his thanks, until shortly afterwards the woman who was said to be pierced by the sea ghost appeared and sat down beside him.

"Lying on the floor was uncomfortable" he said frowning.

From the beginning of the sea ghost and this woman was just a lie, she did not die stabbed but just acting.

Before I took a shower the innkeeper asked me for help, he said the four tenants of his room were always troubling the other tenants who came here until they had never stayed here for more than a day while the fourth was, it has lived for months and sometimes unsettled the residents of this city as well.

The residents and innkeepers tried to evict them but they never complied, which is why the ghost story of the sea was made.

The owner continued.

"They will definitely not come here again and I have received a lot of money from them."

From a distance I stared back at the inn and saw some visitors had entered it.

"What is such a thing, it won't happen again?" ask Amnestha.

"That's not to worry, I think the residents here have written down some rules to prevent it" I said.
