Chapter 195: Escape

"Guakhs."

I left that screaming sound far behind, the two giant Orcs had already smashed half the wall to wait for the time until they could pass through.

Debris of buildings was dropped down, slamming into houses until it was destroyed.

Why did these two monsters want to destroy the wall, instead of their people having entered. I clearly feel something strange?

I jumped up on the wall and stood near the Orc that breathed smoke from its mouth.

With a knife in my hand it would obviously be impossible to drop it because of that, I raised a Grandbell in my hand.

As soon as darkness enveloped him, this sword sucked mana more than it should.

Again my hand turned into a skull.

There was no time to think about it, I swung my sword and it created a curved slash with a black flash until the two Orcs just roared in pain and then took a few steps back.

They scream in anger.

I shook my sword again until both fell lifelessly, from the top of the wall I could see the smoky view of the city from the battle.

I glanced at my hand before turning my eyes towards the other place where the more Behemoth troops were arriving, they were carrying a kind of cannon-like weapon but slightly different.

"So then, they deliberately destroyed the wall to destroy this city at once with a single shot.

The black shadow that enveloped me grew bigger, I was sure that half of my body only left a bone repeating now, strangely there was no effect whatsoever that I felt.

One such leader shouted, "Shoot," and a golden pillar-like beam was launched from within the cannon. I smashed the beam with my sword until it finally disappeared without a trace except for its trajectory which turned into red lava.

I secretly thank Amnestha, if it wasn't for her, I would never have gained this power.

Can I hit the cannon from a distance?

When I think about it all of a sudden Grandbell turns into a bow.

I was so surprised that I could not say anything, lest this sword react with my mind.

I pulled the bow and instantly a black fire arrow was created between my index finger and thumb.

When I let go it created a wind explosion, splitting the air with a loud noise capable of shrieking the ears.

In an instant the cannon was destroyed easily.

The entire army looked dumbfounded, including its leader who was just silently gawking.

I again showered them with more arrows, making the crater here and there quite severe.

They were destroyed without a fight.

Soon Gabriela, Amnestha and Rin climbed the wall until we faced each other.

They have completed their task well.

I removed the sword and removed my mask afterwards.

"Good work you three, wait, why are you just quiet?"

Gabriela told me.

"Your hands haven't changed."

When I realized my left hand was in the shape of a skull.

"Ah, it seems like it will take a little while to get back on hand," I said smiling bitterly before jumping down with the others.

All the townspeople began to swarm us with a loud applause, Rin who had previously covered her face could not hide her smile, until one came out of the crowd.

He was the man we had robbed before.

"Sir, he points at us" said Amnestha, warning that as priests sprang up, the more the number grew.

"Run," at my shout we all ran over the wall that had been destroyed.

Amnestha, Rin and Gabriela laughed.

"It's a lot of fun, it's my first time in the chase" cried Gabriel and then followed by Amnestha.

"Well, this is called adventurer."

Rin took off her hood and said.

"I feel so too."

"The three of you hurry up, do you want to get caught?"

"Okay" the three said at the same time.

Though this was a troublesome situation but they instead smiled happily.
