PART 18'S

Alex just drove Reina home. The girl kept asking to go home, even going alone. Alex can't let Reina go alone.

Alex has also promised not to force Reina and let Reina calm down at her home. One request Reina had with a heavy heart granted Alex was, Reina did not want to be bothered for some time.

Willy occasionally glanced at his Alpha sitting behind, pensive as he looked out the window of the car. Willy doesn't know what Alex is thinking, Willy just wishes Alex well

"Calm down Willy, I'm fine." Alex said with a faint smile without letting go of his gaze out the window

Willy laughed a little. Willy forgets that Alex can read the minds of anyone he wants

"Don't worry sir, miss just needs some time to get to know you." Willy tried to cheer Alex up

Alex smiled a little. How long would it take Reina? A day? Aweek? A year? Nah! Alex soon needs Reina to summon the wolf soul within him

Alex breathed a heavy sigh. The man tried not to think about his shortcomings, as long as he could keep his Pack well then all would be fine.

"Ohya sir, regarding Rogue who attacked yesterday. We haven't been able to trace who was behind the attack a week ago. But Beta Nick found something."

Alex turned his eyes towards Willy. The topic of conversation Willy had chosen could really distract him

"What's that?" Ask Alex

"In the blood of Rogue who attacked in the garden yesterday contained poison from the wolfsbane plant."

"What?!"

"It is likely that they were poisoned first and promised an antidote if they succeeded in killing you, sir." Said Willy while staring at the highway

"Rogue who attacked the border was also killed by arrows covered in poison from the wolfsbane plant. Is this the same person?" Alex asked himself

Alex looked at the raindrops that were starting to fall. In an instant the streets became wet. Alex's car was still driving at a moderate speed

"We've been going through every inch of Vadre Land, still not finding where the wolfsbane flower lives." Said Willy

Alex smiled wryly at Willy's ridiculous analysis.

"Wolfsbane won't be in Vadre Land. Nobody's gonna plant that flower, Willy. They're more afraid of poisoning than planting it to poison..."

Alex suddenly remembered something. He immediately grabbed his cell phone and called someone. Just the first call, the phone was picked up

"Beta Nicholas reports to Alpha.." Answer the voice across

"Uncle Nick, yesterday's uncle once said that uncle knows the news from Uncle Joey, is that it?" Alex asked in a curious tone

"really. He and his three nephews are now pioneering into the concoction drug business." Nick said from across there

Alex squeaks, feeling a bit of suspicion on Joey "Does uncle know where Uncle Joey is?"

"I know he lives on the edge of town. But I don't know the exact address. You want me to investigate, Alpha?" Ask Nick

"Yes. Investigate in detail, uncle." Alex said

"I suspect he developed the wolfsbane plant in the human world." These words only Alex kept in his mind

"Well, I'll investigate." Answer Nick

"Thank you, uncle. Be careful."

Alex hangs up. The man squinted his eyes as if thinking.

"Willy, turn on the hologram map." Alex's orders

Willy immediately pressed a few buttons. A holographic map appears before Alex. Alex immediately checked several areas he suspected

"Gamma Lyxor, you go to the Top Valley area. Gamma Sky, you go to prefectures X and Gamma Evan, you check out the tea plantations on the outskirts of the city that go to the waterheat area. Sort about the existence of wolfsbane there. Tell me right away if you find anything." Alex sends a message to some Gamma in his Pack

"Okay, Alpha."

"Ready, Alpha."

"Ok, brother."

Alex meng off the hologram map in front of him. The man let out a long sigh while leaning on the car seat. Ever since Joey's betrayal, Alex has felt his life has always been unsettled. Alex needs something to calm himself down

Alex sighed again when faced with the fact that it would not happen. Not anytime soon. The girl was very angry because of the incident last afternoon. The man turned off his phone and looked out the window again

Willy steals a glance towards his master to guess the contents of Alex's heart and mind. Willy failed to guess

"Sir, are you okay?" Willy asked carefully while watching Alex's facial features

Alex just put on a flat face, not reacting to Willy's words

"Why did you suddenly say that?" Ask Alex

"That's nothing, sir." Willy said while returning to concentrate on the streets in front of him

Both of them fell silent in the car with their thoughts

Reina sighed softly as she looked towards the date. It had been three days since Alex drove him home, the man had not come to see Reina or sent a message. During that time, Reina unknowingly checks her phone in case there is a call from Alex. But the result was nil, the man really gave him time

"You're why, Reinaaa.." muttered Reina while patting her head as if fixing something broken there

Reina sighed again when she checked her phone. Still no news from Alex.

"Is Alex too busy with Trixie to look for me?" The girl pursed her lips while muttering

"Reina, please check the number of items with the data entered in the warehouse section." Anggi's voice, his division boss surprises Reina

"Good ma'am.." Reina immediately put down her phone and started copying data files from her computer to her iPad

"You've been looking weird for a few days, Rein." Anggi said as he leaned against Reina's cubicle partition and watched the girl closely

Reina glanced at Anggi while laughing "How weird is it?"

"Well yeah.. Ever since you came home from an impromptu assignment to Wind-Corp headquarters, you look like a dazed person. A lot of daydreaming, self-smiling, frequent phone swipe.. Something very rare Reina Sterling did that I knew."

Reina smiled in response to Anggi's remark. Her marriage to Alex was a closed marriage and was known only to a few Werewolves who happened to be in Toronto. It's only natural that some people don't know that Reina is actually married to Wind-Corp CEO Alexander Ulrich. The actual marriage was forced, but strangely Reina complied

"Mh.. But.." Anggi did not continue his words

"But?"

"You look even prettier on your return from headquarters. It's like being in love." Praise Anggi

Reina's cheeks flushed a little at Ella's praise. Reina also recalled Evan saying that she looked more beautiful than the last time she met. Remember Penny's words last night

FLASHBACKS

Penny watched Reina's movements carefully. Her only daughter looks more quiet since returning from her office two days ago.

"Reina.." called Penny while sitting next to Reina who was looking at her handphone

"Yes mom?" Reina replied while looking at Penny

"Something happened while I wasn't around?" Ask Penny

Reina frowned while chuckling "I should have asked like that, mom. Why why?"

"Either.. These two days I've seen you more reserved." Ask Penny.

Reina simply shook her head softly in response to Penny's question. Back the girl glanced at her phone and sighed disappointedly. Penny grabbed Reina's hand and held it. Reina did not pay attention to their hands because Reina's attention was more towards her mobile phone

There was a golden glow coming from the grasp of their hands. Penny squinted her eyes then looked at Reina who was staring at her phone

"Reina, look at me for a second."

Reina according. The girl looked towards Penny "What's the mom?"

Penny opened Reina's glasses. Penny's fingers gently combed Reina's long hair down while noticing something

"You're in love?"
