"Hurry to change, Phi. Papi fell down the stairs, now papi is being rushed to the hospital. Ozge just called." Gendis took the clothes and gave them to her husband.
Eser did not immediately wear the clothes Gendis gave him. He put the shirt on the nightstand. Then casually even lay himself on the bed without the slightest burden.
"Phi, hurry up a little. We need to get to the hospital." Gendis slightly raised the volume of his voice so that Eser immediately moved.
The man closed his eyes and hugged the bolster. Eser knew exactly that his papi had a thousand ways to divert the problem in an instant. He was sure, this time it must be just the wits of Sevket.
Gendis approached Eser impatiently. She patted her husband's shoulder hard. Once not getting a response, Gendis slapped back even harder. But the clap was like a caress to Eser. The man closed his eyes deeper.
"Phey! If you don't want to go, let me go."
Gendis' speech this time managed to make Eser open both his eyeballs. "No, Mhi. I'm not letting you go. You don't know who papi is. Don't believe it, this must be papi's wits so I don't look for my real parents. Papi is very sly."
Gendis shook her head and smiled cynically full of disappointment. "I didn't expect reality to change you so quickly. You are like a man with no feelings. It is as if God did not give you love in your heart. Just because papi hides reality, you feel entitled to punish and prejudge papi. Looks like you really need some time alone to be able to think clearly."
Eser rushed down from the bed and blocked Gendis's footsteps from leaving the room. "You can't go anywhere without my permission. Let Ayumi ascertain the truth first. I'm sure it's just a game of papi." Eser locked the door of his room and kept the key in his grasp.
"You're crazy, Phi. Yesterday you wished you weren't papi's son. Now then? Instantly you hate papi after knowing the truth. Remember, Phi! Papi made you what you are now. No matter how much of a secret you hide, it is not appropriate for you to behave like this. Open the door, Phi. If you want to deny the goodness of papi, do it yourself. I deserve to know my father's condition." Gendis tries to snatch the key from Eser's grasp. But the man's hand was too strong.
"Hopefully this is Papi's plan. Because if not, I'm the first person who will blame you if something happens to happen, too" threatened Gendis as she sat her ass on the edge of the bed.
Eser grabs his phone, and contacts Ayumi to check the truth of Ozge's news. While Gendis continued to look at her husband with a very real annoyance.
The two are silent to each other. Gendis felt tremendous disappointment because of Eser's attitude. Even she felt that she did not recognize her husband in an instant. Supposedly, Eser can behave more mature and wise. This situation, obviously not the situation expected by Sevket. Anger and disappointment are natural things, but should not the problem widen as it is now.
Fifteen minutes later, Ozge calls Gendis again. But Eser snatched and immediately turned off his wife's phone. Right now, that man was completely insane. His mind was already filled with unnatural curiosity.
"Hope your conjecture to be true, Phi, or you will pay dearly for your arrogance." Gendis said it so cynically.
"Stop threatening me, Mhi!" Eser snapped, his voice blaring across the room.
Gendis hurriedly took a glass of drinking water for herself. His heart was racing in shock. Throughout her marriage, which was indeed very unique, this was the first time that Eser had made such a high-pitched sound to her.
The woman approached a special table to pray. Kneeling there with hands starting to touch the forehead, down to the middle of the chest then the left and right sides like a overtake. Gendis eyes closed, both hands fused with fingers that tucked each other like the attitude of the hand when saying a prayer.
"A loving and loving Father, You want Your people to be happy. But often we cannot be patient, that happiness often comes after many trials. We believe that the trials You have given have been taught according to our ability. In Your love and name we believe, Your inclusion is very real. Your help will never come too late. Continue to touch us with your love. Aminn."
Eser, who heard Gendis' prayer, quietly agreed. As he regained consciousness and regained a bit of composure, Eser began to strip off the bathrobe and replace it with the clothes Gendis had given him.
"We're leaving, Mhi. I'll drive you." Eser approached and patted the wife on the shoulder.
Gendis simply replied with a nod. The woman followed Eser's steps. His eyes were bowed with lips tightly closed.
Not long after they were in the car, Eser received a phone call from Ayumi. There were not many words spoken by Eser, the man heard more reports from his confidants. Gendis had absolutely no intention of asking about the information Ayumi had provided. In addition to being lazy to argue, she also wants to keep her husband's mood. To be sure, after the cellular call ended, Eser ordered that the driver speed up the vehicle.
Eser clasped Gendis' shoulder, patting her on the shoulder for her to lean on. His hand held Gendis' hand so tightly. "I'm sorry, Mhi. I'm sorry I was so emotional today."
Again Gendis did not answer with a word. The faint smile that rang from his lips was barely even visible. His feelings were suddenly not good. Lazy to ask Eser, making Gendis can only guess what Ayumi reports.
"Mhi.. are you angry?" Eser asked carefully.
"No," replied Gendis, brief and firm.
"Why silence?"
"I'm tired, Phi. I don't want to argue. I am still a normal woman. There are times when I want to feel our household is as normal as someone else's household. I want to be spoiled by my husband because of my pregnancy. The fact that I hope to change things slowly improves, actually makes you a stranger to me." Gendis looked at Eser so softly.
The man was instantly silent. Eser who brought Gendis to the marriage they are now living. The promised happiness, in fact more pain is thrust. Luckily Eser, Gendis is not a whiny woman who easily gives up and condemns the situation.
At the hospital, the two of them kept their mouths shut. But Eser's hand held Gendis's hand possessively. The couple walked into the room where Sevket was undergoing intensive care.
Seeing that Eser was coming, Ozge's emotions instantly exploded. He immediately approached Eser and gave a speech in the form of a crushing blow that hit the jaw of Eser's right cheek.
"All because of you, Ice. You can make Papi's condition as helpless as it is now. You really don't know yourself." Ozge tries to hold back his voice and anger once he realizes their current whereabouts are in the hospital.
